Bunch of greasy liars. Went to get my truck plated through them, they told me it needed an inspection. That was after I paid sgi for the cross canada vin search where the first two things they state is if the vehicle plates are payable and if it needs a saskatchewan inspection. We'll the cross canada vin search said it needed no inspections and is plateable. Also there's this one greasy dude who is very obviously into his one coworker and she did the whole anxious laugh thing and looked uncomfortable. Trust me dude, it's way too obvious and you are a greasebag. If you want to know what the owner is like just look at his reply to his former employee. Should tell ya everything you need to know

Hit and miss customer service, great hours.

Called in to do another basic transaction over the phone and was met with an absolutely rude customer service representative.
I don't have problems like this with other companies and Galon used to be so good.
You should be more thorough or thoughtful about who you let answer the phone.

Had a really terrible experience here in 2022/2023. I put a package policy on my car for storage during the winter. The terms were not clearly explained. The following year Galon attempted to renew it automatically, which I did not want. Galon provided contradicting instructions through email and phone over a 4-week period. The result was that I had to pay for insurance I did not intend to buy, and did not want. Galon hid behind SGI policy to enforce payment of the extra fees.

Great staff, great insurance policies, and very convenient. Open late and doing over the phone transactions are a breeze.

I have had luck in the past with Galon. Today, it seems like they hire directly out of the douchebag factory. They don’t even have the decency to look you in the eyes and tell you it’ll be a minute. They just stay glued to their screens (probably ordering axe body spray). Won’t be back.

I drove here to plate another one of my cars at 11am today. I work 2 blocks away from here and as I finished work I decided I’m not going to use that car so I called and asked to cancel my plate I asked how much I would be given back and the guy on the phone said 71$. I finished at 7: 30pm. It took me a whole whopping 5 minutes to get there, and When I got there they told me I was getting 50$ back. I asked the guy if it was him who spoke with me on the phone and he said it was and I said you quoted me 71$. And he said yea he knows and that’s weird so he got something like a manager to come have a second opinion. And she told me the 5 minutes matter. And that it’s now been a whole day. I don’t care about the 21$ but don’t scam me and tell me it’s been a whole day. I told her I plated my car at 11am it’s now 7: 30pm.and she said but In SGI’s Calendar it’s been 1 whole day and proceeded to give me the yup we can’t do nothing. Anyways this reviews not in hopes I get an extra 21$ back it’s so hopefully nobody bothers coming here and getting scammed. Sgi online let’s you do anything save yourselves the headache.

Update I used to enjoy working with these guys my review was 5 stars, but as of last night I did a lien search over the phone paid for it and got back the completely wrong vehicle. Not even remotely close and they told me it's not their fault and hung up on me, I called back and and they said sorry we can't help you and hang up again. As of this morning. I called again to see if I can get an update with a supervisor. I called and explained the issue and told me there is no supervisor working today and hung up on me. This is absolutely terrible customer service. And a rip off of the $21 it cost me to do a lien search with no actual result. Never using these guys again.

I'd look elsewhere if possible. 30+ minute wait times on the phone to talk to someone is ridiculous, it doesn't matter what time of day you call. They either don't have enough staff or run a poor operation. One of the two.

I will be pulling all my policies from them in the near future.

Poor service. No one to answer the phone. And when they do, they gave attitude. No customer service. Time to transfer policy.

Came in for some personal lines insurance that needed to be tended too and I had Kandace got everything done for me it was quick easy and very professional couldn’t recommend coming here enough!

Sealed the deal on a new vehicle late Friday and wasn't sure I could get insurance. I found Galon was open until 9pm. While there, I also saw they were open Saturdays as well. Great service hours and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We have dealt with this company for over 25 years. Customer service is top notch. They even have a notary public on staff. They handle all our auto and house insurance policies and always find us the best policy to fit our needs. I highly recommend them to anyone needing the services they provide.

Very helpful and very informative staff. I went to validate an endorsement on my license, guy in there was so friendly and nice. Did my work in friction of seconds.

Every year I promise myself I won't wait until the last day of my birth month to renew my license, but it still happens more often than not. This year required a new picture. Galon was open til 9pm on a Friday before a long weekend, with 5 front-end staff working full tilt. All staff were professional, friendly, and got the job done. No eye rolling or sighs, which I full-on expected at this 11th hour. They were all lovely and carried out their duties with ease. 5 stars!

I can't believe that other insurance firms don't learn a lesson from Galon! They are very easy to deal with. I have been to a few other insurance firms and have had nothing but nose in the air service. *cough* Cook insurance. I went into Galon recently and was helped by a guy who was on his second day, and he aced it! Obviously, they train their staff very well. Thanks again for staying open late and understanding that not everyone can do personal tasks during work hours.

Galon Insurance is the good insurance company in Saskatoon and there timmings are upto 9 pm which usually you can do after your work. Price are good also
