Gordon Howe Campground

I was there for the dinner night, I look around and it's very comfortable and the best view of the football field. I like to go back someday and I'll take pictures of me with background of football game.

We've camped here many times before. It is clean, and quiet. Will be stopping by again in the future.

This is a real nice place with good sized sites that offer privacy from your neighbour. Quiet. The only negative would be there are no sewer hook ups so if you stay long term you have to hook up, drive to the dump station then go back and hook up to power and water again. You do need a pressure reducer for their water because it is 80 psi. Nice folks on staff.

This is a very beautiful campground placed right in beside Montgomery and a very nice location.

We were supposed to stay in our tent at this campsite, but when we arrived it looked like a homeless shelter. There was garbage and tents everywhere in the designated tent area. We did not feel safe spending the night so we turned around and went back to the office for a refund but they don’t do refunds. We are now staying in a hotel and had to bite the bullet on a room because that is our only option. Super disappointed and this campground should at least allow refunds.

I awoke in the morning to find all of my camping supplies stolen! I will never return! BE AWARE.
If security was on site.where is the video? Your manager and park operator did absolutely nothing and had no empathy towards my situation! Over $500 in stolen equipment!

From what I've seen it's nice. But wasn't there long enough to really check the place out.

I wouldn’t recommend this place unless it’s absolutely necessary. Lots of families there with kids in sports camps, so that’s understandable, but again I don’t recommend it. The sites are far too close together so you hear everything your neighbors say. There’s no septic at the sites so you either have to hire them to pump out your tanks or you need to unhook everything and drive to the sani dump at the entrance. The trees are really overgrown so if you’re scared of getting your rig scratched by overhanging branches, avoid this place. I also don’t think the security is good. Strange characters walking around day and night that were quite obviously not camping there. The rest of the sports park is really impressive but I wish Geordie Howe’s name wasn’t associated with this campground. My advice to you: drive to Medicine Hat and see how a muni campground should be run. I won’t be back.

Not enough security! The homeless people do their rounds throughout the day and night and they robbed people constantly. We had other people's property under our trailer when we got back late at night, had nonidea where it came from, this happened more than once and we only stayed here 3 nights! The bathrooms are where they dig through people's stuff in the morning you go in there and there's empty bags and stuff like that if you want to get robbed stay here or be able to lock up very well and leave absolutely nothing out!

After a bit of confusion on double booking my site was upgraded to a better site with no extra cost. The person in the office was very helpful and resourceful. The bathroom was very clean and the workers seemed very motivated. We also inquired about going into the city and a person in the office gave us sound advice about a walking trail along the river.

It is a nice city campground. The showers are awesome. Wheelchair accesible. The bathrooms are so clean. There is also a large sink with hot and cold water taps for washong dishes. Laundromat and store on location. So convient.

A family of poor ruffians were staying here and breaking the rules but luckily the manager and security promptly kicked them out to ensure that people can have a peaceful stay. The security here is better than any other campground I had visited and the bathrooms are spotless! Clearly some of the one star reviews here are written by the people who got kicked out, judging by the less than adequate spelling skills, how disheartening, the manager is awesome! The whole campground heard the commotion they made, quite embarrassing, some people just have no respect, besides that, we really enjoyed our time here! Highly recommend!

Great campsite. Very clean and green and relatively close to downtown. A great place to spend the night if passing through.

Unable to stay in campground, we're alloted a spot in the overflow. Still served our purpose. Will attempt to make reservations next time

Campsite was quite crowded. We have a small 5th wheeler (24') and we're unable to fully deploy the awning. The picnic table was in poor condition.rotting wood on the top and seats.
There was no place for visitors to park, our daughter had a note left on her windshield when she parked on the side of the road opposite to our campsite.
Washrooms were VERY clean.
RV sanitation station was well equipped.
Might stay there again, but definitely NOT in the same site.

We have stayed at this campground several times with no issues. However, I took an injury which would not allow me to walk. Therefore we phoned giving more than 48 hours notice that we would be unable to use the site. That would be more than enough time for any campground or hotel in the world. No way, So I guess the scam is to give no refunds then rent the site to someone else. A very low grade operation.

Worsted experience ever would never take my family the manager us nothing but a flailed out meth head and never felt so uncomfortable would never go again

Tent camped there on 6/19/2023. Had 3 tents so had to get an RV site. Ground was very hard, no grass. Bathhouse was clean.

Gorgeous campground and lovely manager, Amanda helped our family so much throughout the summer and her kind energy made this an incredible stay for us. The park is gorgeous and there is plenty of room for children to play!

Very nice campground but no biking allowed is weird especially since nobody followed the rule

Lovely green park, lots of trees, private sites. Laundry is well set up. I don't care for how the showers are set up, but they work.

Very calm and relaxing campsite, still within city limits. Pretty much a jewel in the rough.
Individual campsites separated by old growth trees, private, yet close to amenities.
Public washrooms situated at different intervals.
Kids play areas also situated at different locations.
Not noisy at all.
