A great place to find, and give, a second life to various used household fittings, hardware, furniture, and appliances. HIGHLY reasonable prices. Knowledgable staff, willing to help you out and make suggestions. Don't let your perfectly good housewares go to waste, nor waste money and resources, when second-hand will do just fine. A great place I'm just rediscovering!

Great supply of new products but for us most of the time nothing we're looking for. But we still go there so now and then for that one treasure we're looking for.

Wow.a crazy amount of inventory. For every DIY project you ever have.come here first to get the materials. You will save enough money to do your next project! And just walking around you will have inspiration for the next ten.

OWNER, please contact me. I purchased LED floodlights, when I got home, I opened the boxes and noticed they were CFL's inside and NOT LED's. I have my receipt. I just want a refund, so I can buy the LEDs elsewhere. The cashier looked at them at the register and never said a word. Owner NEVER replied, forced to use the lights and they lasted 2 weeks! GARBAGE! Waste of money! This place is NOT what it used to be!

If you're lucky you'll find what you're looking for.but generally overpriced and unwilling to budge on used items.good concept gone commercial=bad

Like some other reviewers, I miss the way the store used to be a few years ago. I agree that it is dark, everything is low or on the ground- they got rid of most of the shelving which seems to mean that there’s way less stock on display - especially paints, and hardware. It seemed to be way better lit before, there used to be way more stuff on display and the prices were more like a thrift shop price rather than a consignment or antique shop price. I find it frustrating also that items like tile and other flooring don’t have the price on display. On separate visits I got completely different price quotes on the same item that was still there on subsequent visits. There also seems to be not a lot of donations coming in and not a lot selling so the rotation of items is minimal. I could go in weeks later and it’s still mostly the same stuff there. Also lots of the light fixtures are in big boxes with no pictures so you have to unstack the boxes and take everything out to have any idea what it looks like. Lastly there always seems to be someone in the back area slamming and throwing things super loudly or there’s an alarm going off that everyone is just ignoring. I get that it’s a warehouse and it echoes but it never used to be like that before. I don’t know if it changed ownership or what… I feel it’s an important place to support and hope for its success and for it to stay open but it just seems like someone has given up on it.

I brought light fixtures to donate and because the store was overstocked with lighting they wouldn’t accept them. This is not the first time that this has happened to me. Ten years ago you could find retro and great used/new items at a reasonable price. The store doesn’t have the same unique character anymore. I noticed that the Loraas bin behind the store is full. So donated items are likely just being dumped. Every time I go in to the store I find prices to be severely inflated. Many items are donated by Home Depot and when you compare prices, the Restore is trying to sell the Home Depots donated items at close to retail price, with no warranty and no returns. I understand that the Restores are supposed to sell items donated by commercial businesses at 60% less than commercial/retail prices. That policy does not seem to be followed in Saskatoon. I will not be donating or purchasing from the Restore in the future and would suggest that others also boycott the Restore. If you want to feel charitable, put your items for free on Marketplace or donate them to real charities. The purpose of Habitat for Humanity is great but it is important that the ReStore fairly and respectfully serves donors and customers.

These places are only as good as the donations they receive. We left empty handed but the next person could leave with a trunk full of stuff. Lots of parking and lots of space inside.

I was going to buy a lamp shade and it was $ 5 without the lamp. I said that is too much. I offered $3 which was declined. I then went back to the lamps and found the exact same lamp shade (ceiling hugger) for $3. I was told at the till: ” you are lucky because we forgot to up price that one”. I pointed out that $5 is unreasonable for a piece of second hand glass. He then twice he refused to sell it to me for the price stated on the price tag and said: ” if you don’t like it here then shop at Rona”. I wanted it because the main part of the lamp I had at home without the glass so he finally agreed to sell it to me for the price on the price tag. (complete set at Rona is $10, brand new).
What a toxic and nasty environment. Very disappointed as I was used to excellent customer service at the Restore. They all greeted me and knew my name and I knew theirs. It was my favourite outing. I won’t be donating anything any longer. And I am a customer who used to spend between $3000-$5000 per year as I own 10 rental houses. This was in Prince Albert.

I got a lot of paint rollers for cheap. Staff were okay but not so friendly.didnt seem like I was welcome here.
23 July 2022 4:10
Great new look. More organized. Kicked it up a notch on customer service. Many items are now individually packaged and priced making things easier to shop.
03 October 2021 1:23
It's not that I totally dislike it. But the prices can sometimes be more expensive than new. Not priced accordingly or not priced at all. It's six of one, half dozen of the other
30 September 2021 18:41
Great deals and nice selection! I will be back to see what's new next week, and the profit goes to a charitable cause.it's win win!
10 August 2021 11:08
I whole heartedly support and appreciate extending the working lifespan of reused and recycled materials.
28 July 2021 11:19
Omg. I couldn't believe the prices.first time ever visiting the store, didn't take us long to make a B line to the exit.their merchandise is soooooo overpriced.do not recommend, you are better off buying brand new
24 July 2021 13:25
An awesome place to spend a little time and use your imagination. Price points cover the spectrum and the staff have always been really friendly and helpful. It’s a good cause too. Everybody wins
17 July 2021 17:46
We always find hidden gems when we visit, and are glad to support the organization. A great mixture of character, good value, supporting a good organization, and reducing your footprint by purchasing used/recycled goods. When I need supplies for a project, I can find what I'm looking for nine times out of ten.
03 July 2021 10:55
Habitat over charges on items that been donated to help next person and I thought habitat is to help better our community
28 June 2021 19:38
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Nice and clean. Prices reasonable. Abundant parking at back of store. Sanitizer available at entrance.
10 June 2021 5:20
A great place to visit.they have something for everything! All the profits go to habitat for humanity so spending here benefits a deserving not for profit.
24 May 2021 19:49
Prices are ridiculous considering its used items and most can be found cheaper brand new in store. The employees are also never very friendly
08 April 2021 21:06
Great place if you're looking for cheap stuff to refurbish. They have recently rearranged everything so you'll find good stuff way easier.
Last time we got a side table for $10 that is now our cat's little lair
30 March 2021 19:02
Pictures are misleading drove over an hour and a half to this place, not very much inventory and very overpriced. The Prince Albert location is a quarter of size building and also a quarter of the price.
28 March 2021 7:44
My problem is that I forget this place exists. There is so much amazing things here. If you need to do home improvements or you need a tool or something else. It is probably here. Go and be happy.
28 October 2020 14:22
The workers were very friendly and took everything even though we showed up 10 minutes before closing. Wonderful staff!
15 October 2020 4:50
We love shopping here for items for our home renos and furniture - they always have amazing deals and it is always worth the money! We found our instant pot here, and managed to tile our kitchen for well under $150. This store has an awesome online store to browse, and is for a good cause! Thank you for all you do Restore!
05 October 2020 5:46
Definitely a good place to buy used furniture or doors or hardware or fence gates highly recommended!
16 September 2020 3:58
Horrible experience. One of the cashiers had a high voice and was commandeering customers all over the place. Very rude to me and my friends. The things down here are quite expensive too
22 August 2020 22:25
Recently reorganized and online browsing available. Great staff and volunteers. Plus all goes to a good cause.
23 March 2020 1:53
Love the recent remodel. Everything is clean and well organized. Also appreciate everything has a barcoded price tag on it whereas before some things had prices and some didn't. Cant wait to see it when they finish the renos, but already a huge improvement.
17 February 2020 7:00
I was surprised at how many things they had. I was happy they had exactly the tile I needed to repair our bathroom.
29 January 2020 0:42
Cool place. I found a dresser there for $30. I seen one very similar to it at Wal-Mart for $120. Great deals.
24 November 2019 1:39
Great selection of slightly used and new building materials. Always good to drop by and see what other household items and furniture they have.
09 November 2019 12:03
Luv this place. Always has something that I need either for the house or the lake. If not, then I can always use it later when a project comes up. Mind you, you have to do some searching but I hear that they will be renovating the store and organize more. Found some great doors and windows for a she-shed that I had built last year. Good price too.
07 November 2019 10:59
If you're looking for stuff to complete your house on a budget, this is the place! They are also having a 75% off sale right now to get rid of stock.

Flooring parts too are easy to find. I was looking for a stair nose and other combo pieces and they were only $15 (before the discount!). Normally in the store they are $30-$50! Love this place:)

I have never, in all my years of going to over 100 different ReStores across the USA and Canada come to one that prices their items using a formula derived off the items MSRP. It is not uncommon to come to this ReStore, and see a switch priced at $70 because some industrial business supplier on some website is selling the switch for $140. Many other ReStores sell light switches for 50 cents or less. Right after that happened, I went to my favourite surplus store, and found the same switch, NOS, for around $3. That switch at the ReStore is still sitting on the shelf to this day, and I first saw that switch in the store about 2 years ago.

This is the same for both Saskatoon and Regina ReStores, so it’s just greedy management that does not represent what Habitat for Humanity is all about. Especially with the amount of items WHICH PEOPLE HAVE DONATED, are THROWN AWAY, because the item didn’t sell for 50% of MSRP. I’d like to know the source of their found MSRP too, especially since most items sold here are over 30 years old on average. How are you finding a 40 year old USED products MSRP anyway, let alone selling it for that? The value of a product depreciates naturally over time, and they don’t seem to understand that concept by using the formula they use. Why not SELL THE ITEMS AT A REASONABLE PRICE, not based on a formula, LIKE EVERY OTHER RESTORE IN NORTH AMERICA! That way, you WONT have to throw away so much, and YOU’LL BE MAKING A PROFIT AT THE SAME TIME, with the ITEMS YOU WERE ABOUT TO TOSS! I have talked to many people who agree that the ReStores in Saskatchewan are overpriced, and like another review here said; 100 items sold at 10% MSRP is better than a couple sold at 50%. If they would take some advice from these reviews, their sales will potentially go up due to the positive word of mouth advertising you’d get. Remember, this business is all profit. It’s not like they’re reselling stuff, everything gets donated. That’s a 100% profit margin. Plus, most ReStore associates are volunteers who don’t get paid, or minimum wage employees. So selling an item at a price derived off the MSRP at a place like this is total greed. Throwing things out when they don’t sell however, is another level of incompetence and complete disrespect to the person donating the item.

Until management at both restores fixes their act and stops being a glorified hardware store, I suggest just not shopping here. Once they see a drop in sales (or god forbid profit), that’ll force them to rethink, especially when the CEO can’t go on his yearly holiday to Europe, or pay off his home on Sask Crescent. Then maybe they’ll listen to the consumer. This is a charity, not a real business. Go to Kijiji, or other thrift stores, surplus stores, auction shops, or garage sales which are FAR more reasonably priced, and who you can actually negotiate with, until Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan fixes their act.

Don’t reply to this with a “boilerplate copy and paste” reply of “our policy is 50% of msrp and if you see something different let us know”. That’s not the point here. If you feel the need to write that, read my review again and then go read some others. The idea here is to DITCH THE FORMULA, STOP BEING SO WASTEFUL & DISRESPECTFUL, and maybe start acting like a ReStore, not a discount hardware or liquidation outlet.

Terrible service over priced. Used to be a place to buy donated items. Now it’s a corporate entity only worried about money and not keeping recycled materials out of the landfill. Weak
30 April 2019 16:18
One really needs to go there and see it for yourself. There is such a wide variety of both gently used and new materials it is hard to explain without being there. Windows, doors, cabinets, plumbing and electrical fixtures and a whole lot more. Wow.
