Hilton goes through a 3rd party that charged me $100 for booking. So I ended up paying over $260 for a 1 king bed room on a TUESDAY NIGHT without any complimentary breakfast. No offense Hilton, but your rooms aren't that nice. I was under the assumption (as the billing was not clear) the additional $100 fee was the holding charge for any damage to the room, but we had to pay that additional $100 when checking in. Any hotel that uses 3rd party vendors that charge large amounts of fees are not worth staying at. I would give them 0 of 5 stars if I could for being shady.

Terrible experience. Horrible customer-service. Double-charged me for hotel stay and refused to assist with correcting their error.

Rooms are in terrible shape, virtually no noise-insulation between rooms. Stay at the Holiday Inn across the street.

This hotel is ok. It's a good place to sleep in but other than that nothing special. The continental breakfast was disappointing but you can order a great omelet.

Pleasant, courteous check in. Clean rooms, no carpets, which is a bonus. Excellent lighting in the decent sized bathroom. Super comfy beds and pillows. Plus a flat screen TV that is a decent size, compared to some other hotels.

Loved it! Location and hotel were great. Breakfast was amazing. Disappointed that we had to ask for housekeeping daily of we wanted that service and that the pool and hot tub wasn't always available during our stay.

I will list the positives and negatives of my experience and whomever can determine if they want to stay at the Hilton:

Negatives:
-I originally booked 2 adjoining rooms, as my husband was joining us later and I felt this was the safest way to supervise my teens/kids in the meantime. The front desk did not notify me at time of booking that this was not a guarantee or I definitely would not of booked with this hotel as I had very specific reasons for booking adjoining rooms.
20 min before check in I was called and notified that in fact I would not be getting adjoining rooms and side by side rooms would be accommodated. Upon hearing this information I asked to cancel so I could try to get what I needed at another hotel…I WAS TOLD I COULD NOT CANCEL WITHOUT BEING CHARGED FOR THE ROOMS.
I was in tears and extremely upset.
We had no choice but this caused a lot of anxiety and stress. I am one week away from cancer treatment and in a considerable amount of pain, mobility is very difficult for me right now, the adjoining rooms were to make sure I was able to supervise my kids in a larger space without having to worry about them or take extra steps due to the pain I was experiencing.
-we were checked in by a gentleman at the front desk who was short with me about the entire situation. Not the reception I anticipated when my room bill was over $450 for our stay.
- the hotel was maxed out and I felt they would of been able to fill our rooms momentarily if they allowed us to cancel.
- no discount on the rooms were offered even after I explained that I was originally told that I would receive what I booked. The person that did my booking should inform customers that there is a chance that they may not get what they originally booked.
- the pool and gym area need a quick check in once in awhile as I understand there is not an attendant on duty but the gym equipment was being abused and no towels were available.

Positives:
- the manager was remorseful and friendly.
-we were given free breakfast and free parking due to the mix up
- the gentleman in the restaurant running the breakfast shift was very sweet and I hope he is appreciated because they could use some of his kindness at the front desk.
-beds and pillows are very comfortable
-our rooms were clean
-our floor was quiet even though the hotel had many patrons

Renovations to guest rooms underway to refresh things and complement the great location and exceptional service at this HGI. Highly recommended.

It pretty clean and right at the middle of downtown of Saskaoon. Hotel does not offer free parking. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. First night AC wasn't working. I called front desk and they said they don't have maintenance staff available. Room was too hot and they recommended either I have to switch the room or open the window. Later at 2: 30am I figured out that AC power cord was unplugged and hidden behind the curtains.

Next day when I tried to take shower there was no hot water. It was lukewarm water and I thought its busy hour. Later at evening when I tried to take shower it was same. I tried calling front desk and despite of several calls no one picked up the phone. I requested on Hilton Honors app to look in to water issue and then maintenance guy came up and checked water.he said it might be due to busy hours or so and again suggested me to change the room.

When I check in to this room I was told by front desk that this room is recently renovated but I have been to this hotel multiple times in the past and did not see any difference.

Whenever some one on the same floor closes their door whole bed back wall starts shaking. I think this is really old building and they need serious upgrades.

I have decided not to stay at this hotel ever again nor I am going to recommend to anyone.

I didn't get a room. We had a convention there and they had a hospitality room in that hotel. Drinks were good

Severely outdated rooms, check AC units on check in ours was leaking carpet was soaked only noticed on checkout day! Breakfast don't bother as the yogurt was the only edible thing.

Has all the basics. Laminate floor is cold aesthetically, and the room feels pretty basic. Lower floor Street facing rooms are noisey. Bathroom plug and drain a bit iffy. O. K.but nothing special

Pay the extra cash if you must to stay at a more upscale hotel. This hotel doesn't have free breakfast so that's an additional expense plus you have to pay $14+ per night to park your car. All in all, they offer cheaper rates for their rooms but with the additional dinning and parking expenses you'll be paying more to stay here than at other hotels.

Hilton Garden Inn is a great location close to many downtown Hotspots.
Onsite food options a very limited at the moment.
But the location, puts you close to many of the best restaurants and pubs in the city.

They did everything they could to make us more comfortable as possible. The staff cared about our little puppy that needed surgery and they were always asking if they could do anything for us. Also they don't charge pet fee. Most hotels were charging.
The room we stayed was renovated, roomy, brighter and the shower amazing.
We had an amazing experience and for sure we recommend this hotel.

The stay was OK. I booked with the understanding that the parking was FREE as was stated on the Google booking app in 3 different place. When I arrived for my 4 night stay, I was told that parking was not FREE and was in fact $14.65 per night. If I would have known this, I would have booked with another downtown Saskatoon hotel that did offer FREE parking. The Google booking site mislead me on hidden prices. On top of it all, when I called the hotel to have the charges reversed, they called me a liar that nowhere on the site says that parking is FREE

We had a couple setbacks with our stay (someone smoking marijuana on our floor and the pool pump needed maintenance), but the amazing staff did everything they could to make our stay very comfortable. We had such a positive experience and 10/10 would stay again!
