The plumber was on time, knew what the problem was and fixed it. Invoice itemized cost of labour and parts so I knew the charges were within the industry range I will hire them again if I have other issues.

Very professional and friendly service. Dustin and Cam were happy to answer any questions we had about our new furnace and ac. They helped us to locate the outside ac unit in a way that fit right in with our sidewalk, landscaping and basement windows. I had the annual maintenance done on my furnace. Informed the technician the condensate pump was performing poorly of late. He tested it after doing the previous checks and confirmed it was working but taking longer than it should. I asked if he had one available, which he did, and so had it changed out.
I have had my furnace serviced by several J & A technicians through out the past 9 yrs and all of them have been excellent.
This last technician was especially good. Thanks.

My furnace was not heating. I called them in the evening and left a message (was not urgent enough to get the out of hour service). They called and came the following morning. The technician came and diagnosed the problem quickly, got the part and up and running well before noon. The technician was very knowlegable and friendly. I will continue using J&A for my heating and plumbing needs.

J & A were lifesavers when I needed an emergency furnace repair in the winter a couple of years ago and recently had them install an air conditioner system in my home. My furnace was acting up, so I started calling around. These guys were very easy to talk to when explaining my problem and I had no issues understanding what they were talking about. My parents have used J&A for multiple projects. Heating their garage, 2 fireplaces. They are quick, efficient & extremely professional. They never make a mess & clean up after they are finished. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of heating & plumbing.

We have several rental houses. Recently one of our tenants advised their furnace was out. Since it was -15 C and the tenants had children, it was imperative we get the heat working as soon as possible. I called 8 different places before J & A advised they could fix the problem. They went to the house that afternoon and fixed the problem very quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when ingot the bill too. I will definitely use J & A again.

Problem: Alarm Code 225 on thermostat - called on October 20 to make an appointment with J & A Heating

October 26 – 12pm appointment. Technician showed up at 1: 30pm. Replaced high pressure switch (took approximately 10 minutes). Did not check anything. Alarm Code 225 still showing on thermostat.
October 27 – Called J & A. Told that I would have to pay for another service call, even though the problem was exactly the same. I explained why I believed the service call should be waived (same problem, nothing fixed nor diagnosed). Asked someone to call on my behalf, as he is a heavy duty mechanic and familiar with the trade industry. An hour service fee for the next appointment was waived.
November 2 – 10am appointment. A more "seasoned" technician showed up at 12: 35pm. Replaced the circuit board. Misdiagnosed. Realized it was the thermostat. Replaced the thermostat. *Note: This technician damaged my hardwood floor by dropping his drill – no apology, nor acknowledgement – Witnessed the drop* After technician left, I tried to register the thermostat. It was already registered to another account. Realized it was a used thermostat.
November 3 – Called J & A. Told they would replace the thermostat.
November 4 – 2pm appointment. Technician showed up at 11am. Replaced the thermostat with a new thermostat. Technician expected payment for this third service call.

Summary of concerns:
- No assessment of actual problem. Unnecessary new High Pressure Switch installed ($45).
- Payment of 2 extra service calls (at $135/hr) expected, even though problem was not diagnosed by technician (first time) and a used thermostat was installed (second time).
- Hardwood damaged by technician, with no acceptance of responsibility.
- None of the appointments were honored at the correct times.

Horrible customer service, called out for furnace repair, said they fixed it, vide came up the minute they walked out the door and they refused to come repair properly, said a new service order was needed and that there was no code when they left. Very disrespectful and rude service, don’t use them, I would rate them 0.
