Kal Tire

Experience was pretty good. Had an apt 730 AM to do a winter tire change over. I bought a new set of FX11'S winter tires. They had me out in less than 45 mins or so. The only thing I didn't like, is that I asked for them to check on the wheel alignment, but they didn't even check. Apparently, the girl I spoke with at the call center removed that from the work order and, as a result, wasn't checked. But other than that, it was a good experience. Guess we will see how these tires do this winter.

I took my car in this summer to have my breaks replaced. When I went to put on my winter tires we found they had stripped 3 bolts on my tires and totally replaced a bolt so they had either stripped or broken that one too. I had been driving my car for 6 months like that and could have been in an accident because of them. We then had to try and find parts in the city on a Sunday so I could could go to work Monday. Unfortunately we couldn’t get parts till Monday morning which caused my husband to miss time from work to deal with the issue. Very disappointed in a place that should know how to deal with putting tires on. I won’t be a repeat customer.

Very bad and frustrating experience. I never imagine that a services company can do such a thing to its existing customer.

The staff on 8th Street are awesome! The lady that answered my phone inquiries, the gentleman who booked my order for tires and the gentleman (Michael) who looked after the installation and the tire techs that installed and checked tire pressures

GREEDY for your money. Purchased 4 trailer tires for my boat trailer. Kal Tire said they don't install on trailers. I took the trailer tires off myself and installed new tires. Kal Tire did not touch a bolt. Kal Tire charged me for 4 tires $105.80 Installation fee plus tax. How GREEDY have we become

The price suddenly became 4 times more expensive when it came time to pay, explained as they charge by the tire to rotate. No one ever did explain how you could rotate only one tire tho. I absolutely could have done this myself for free, so maybe I should thank them for teaching me not to throw my money away on their overvalued labor.

They had the tire size I needed to replace a damaged tire and installed it within a couple of hours.

Left grease all over the drivers door.
Left the back window open then parked the truck at the back of the garage where I couldn’t even see it. There were plenty of spots out front too. Price was good

The TPMS light on car came on during my drive from Winnipeg. I dropped in on June 5th afternoon without an appointment: Elton Flores arranged for Michael to check the tires/pressures and sorted out the issue. I am very grateful to them.

Michael at the 8th street location was absolutely amazing! Greeted us immediately as we came in and got us looked after quickly. Highly recommend this location.

Fast service! Got me in for a wheel alignment in 1 day for only $160 not the best price in town but amazing fast service

I brought my vehicle in for servicing. Upon receiving back, I noticed 2 large scratches on the driver's side. They were both in close proximity to each other. The 2 scratches were deep. You could tell they were fresh because of the sharper feel. No dirt build-up and linear shape.

I notified management that one of their technicians possibly scratched my vehicle. I mentioned that the damage wasn't on the vehicle prior to the appointment. Management assured me it didn't happen in the shop and said his technician is very trustworthy and has been with kal Tire for 5 years. Claiming he would have owned up to it. He went on saying that if it happened, it would have happened in the parking lot from another vehicle. If that were the case, there would have been paint or scuff marks from the other vehicle instead of 2 separate scratches. They refused to look at their surveillance in the shop or parking lot to prove me wrong. Isn't that why they have cameras in the shop. For liability purposes? I understand people make mistakes and maybe he didnt realize he did it and thats okay, but he couldnt even give me the benefit of the doubt and check the footage? I felt like the manager was rude on the phone and was being condescending towards me. Kept regurgitating the saying "you know what I mean"? Implying I don't know what I'm talking about.

Bottom line if you get this tire service shop to do any work, just know they won't accept any liability or take any ownership if they actually cause any damage to your vehicle.

These guys are awesome, I purchased winter tires from them back in December, I just did my seasonal tire change with them to get my all season radials put on, both times thier was issues with the tires, the winter tires I somehow managed to pick up a screw and needed a patch, they repaired the tire free of charge, the all season radials I had a bent rim issue which I thought was causing a bead leak in the tire, I was set to come in on Friday but with my tire going flat they called around and found the rim immediately, after the rim change I noticed the tire was still hissing air, an employee came out to my vehicle and noticed a hole In the tire, they took my car back in immediately and repaired the hole In the tire yet again free of charge as things seemed covered with the seasonal tire change. This was very helpful, they accommodated for my issues that day even though they didn't have to. I'd recommend this place to anyone, very high-end customer service

No customer service here. A friend bought tires here couple years ago. This winter they started cracking. She went back and the guy here told her that’s normal? !? After 2 years? He wouldn’t do anything for her. So she went to another tire place and they sent them back to the manufacturer and she got a credit.

Bought new winter rims for my car and realized that we had bought the wrong size. The staff were all very helpful and polite and were able to exchange the rims for the right size very quickly. Would definitely go here again.
