Kihiw Restaurant

Very sad day, came in for the usual caesar and clam chowder, to find the clam chowder is off the menu) :

1st time going to Kihiw Restaurant in North Battleford. Overall it was good! 3/5 stars.

Went there with family before a concert at the Dekker Centre, I had the Applewood Smoked Tomahawk Porkchop with Veggies and Onion Rings. The food was okay, I didn't taste the Applewood Smoked or the sweet apple butter. The person I was with ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. When the salad came it was missing the chicken and the salad was too salty.

It felt like there was a lack of servers in the restaurant, as our server didn't come over to check up on us, we had to flag down another staff member to take away the chicken salad and take it off our bill. Or the server was on the other side of the restaurant helping another table.

I'd be willing to give it another chance and try something new and see if the service is better.

Good food, don’t bother ordering take out, paper cutlery. No bottled water or drinks but you can get one can of beer to go, they direct you to a vending machine in the hallway at $5/bottle of pop. Makes a ton of sense don’t it? Wake up already management!

Was seated quickly but unfortunately was forgotten right after sat for 10mins while 3 tables walked in by then they all got service fast after they were takin care of we got served finnaly food was good tho jus better servers

We had a 45th birthday supper for son. 14 seated. Waited 40 minutes for our drink order. When the food finally arrived it varied from cold to overcooked even to the point of inedible. Just a very memorably terrible meal. I can't imagine why it's still even open for business? My advice would be to eat anywhere else. If MacDonald's is open it would be a much better choice based on our experience!

Wouldn't know. Waited to be seated for almost ten minutes. Didn't see host or hostess or even servers. Turned around and left. They obviously don't try here

Very good service, food, food presentation, an quanity, it is top class, an very reasonably priced. A very nice, comfortable dining experience. Would recommend this to everyone.

We were staying at the adjacent hotel and came here for lunch. My wife had the Coltrane salad and I had the pork schnitzel. Both were excellent. Service was prompt and friendly.

Had a fantastic supper here other than getting stung by a bee walking in the doors to the restaurant it was great food and decent service.

I got the Coltrane Salad! It was very delicious! Kihiw has good prices especially compared to todays standards, and do not lack on quality! Thank you for the great experience

My wife and I stopped for lunch on our way through the Battlefords. My wife ordered the Steak Sandwich with a tossed salad, the steak was cooked as ordered and seasoned nice. However the salad wasn’t fresh and extremely wilted at the table and really had no flavour. I ordered the Bison Bannock Burger and added the Poutine. The burger tasted good, though the Bannock bread was very greasy (old or cool cooking oil) I have had much better elsewhere. The fries were also very greasy and tasted of old oil. When asked by our waiter how it tasted, I did pass on my thoughts, which were met with an air of indifference. Service was quick and pleasant with a relatively fast turnover.

We were for a large gathering. The food was served hot and quick. The staff were excellent.

Definitely a decent place to grub. Yet I forgot it was Monday and the regular chef was probably still home puking out his weekend festivities. So the pork from the Monday crew came out tough, but still edible. Pork should be just a tad juicy; tender, to chew through without fighting it.

I like this place but the blonde supervisor very stingy with money and the chicken strips. Why not let the chef taste the chicken that was bad. Why would you make a new batch do you let your chicken strip sit there. Therfore become brown and chewy. I think the fact that the chicken fingers was not recouped but 25 percent was show case how the supervisor does not know what she is doing since it was un edible

Food was absolutely delicious! High quality restaurant with quality food! Staff were excellent! Highly recommend! ! Will definitely be back!

One of the best restaurants I've ever been too.comfortable, homey, friendly, Fantastic food.just the right amount of everything you'd want in a dining experience without it feeling too much or too little.highly recommend.

Apparently, every Friday is fish n chips at this restaurant, & the portions are huge and very well prepared and delicious. I would recommend for sure. Price was 35 for 2 people with coffee n pop and the service was great and a very clean restaurant. I will be back for sure.

We had booked a valentines supper, very limited menu.waited an hour for our food, ended up with no mashed potatoes, fried or rice as an option. Waitress was kind, not get fault not super disappointing for a place we usually have exceptional service.

Consistenly tasty menu. Service is kind. Prices good. Fish and chips recommended but every thing is nice here!
