Language Assessment and Referral Centre - LARC Regina

It was a pleasant experience to share my status and obtained thoughtful suggestions from the case officer.

Hello everybody! I want to write a review about this organization! We are a family: a man, a woman and a 9-year-old child. We have already been in Regina for a week, and I want to say that at the first stage, when you arrive, you do not understand anything, you do not orient yourself in a new country, you only partially understand the language. This organization is an ideal rear and basis (guide) so that you can figure out what to do, calmly and without worrying. Very organized specialists!
They helped us with resettlement. At this stage, we are living in a hotel (with the help of the LARK Organization), which makes our first stay in the country a lot easier.
Specialists consulted us, gave us a lot of information and gave us moral support that everything will work out!
Always in touch and you don't have to wait weeks for an answer. Everything is organized!
They helped to register in the necessary institutions.

Received a lot of information from Elizabet about the first steps after moving. We are very grateful to her and the whole organization for helping the new arrivals, it is very important in the first days!

I was with my mother and the staffs weren’t friendly. A terrible service! Impolite and they humiliated us.

We would like to say a big thank you to LARC staff Regina Elizabet and Taige. Very sensitive and pleasant people. Professionalism, understanding, and attention to detail were demonstrated at the meeting. They helped to understand the issues that were worrying. The first day in another country is psychologically quite difficult, but Elizabet and Taige reassured and gave confidence that everything will be fine. And even if not everything will work out immediately, there is support. And this helps a lot to move on. They have developed an action plan for us on what to do and it helps a lot. We heard that people in Saskatchewan are very responsive and kind! Now we know about it from our own experience when we met Elizabet and Taige!

I did a language assessment here, met a lot of warm-hearted friends, they gave me and my family some sincere help. I want to mention the guy Taige Sun in particular and I want to say thank you to all of them.

Horrible place to try to get any help at. You come and ask about any English lessons, they say okay and please wait. You wait hours till someone comes and says again "Okay", goes somewhere and disappears for more time. After long wait you just get someone to come with " We will call you". No one calls later and no one picks up. Everyone says that they are doing their job but at the same time no one cares about their job. A staff worker can be just walking around and doing nothing but called "busy worker" because they are just there. You can come here day by day and won't get any results and just hope that someone one day will call you and say that they got you something but it will time when you don't need it. Terrible workers who don't care about their clients and people who need help but still anyways get money for it. Staff worker will be mean to you if you will say that there is someone probably free walking around. Terrible.

Good afternoon, I want to express a huge thank you to Kateryna, she is an incredible specialist and a girl with huge hearts! She helped me and many families from Ukraine a lot. Kateryna provided useful information and helped with understanding the work of Canadian institutions. Thank you very much, very professional and friendly girl!

My husband and I were there yesterday. We would like to extend our appreciation for the service we received from the LARC Regina team, especially Tiger, Thamer, and two other ladies that I don't have their names.

Tiger explained things clearly and thoroughly to us. He also helped my husband go through the interview as an interpreter. We are so sorry that he missed his lunch break because of going the extra mile and sorting things out for us.

The other team members are amazing, too! They make us feel relaxed and comfortable both in the assessment and the interview. My husband got his referral to LINC courses in UR smoothly.

They provide free English tests and settlement services to new Canadians. The staff are very polite and helpful and work around your schedule for booking assessments. They have a plethora of connections and offerings with other agencies to help new Canadians get better acquainted to life in Canada! Their office is the first door on the left once you enter.

The people there are very welcoming and nice. They helped my mom. I would recommend it for many friends.

LARC is the best place for newcomers in Canada. Provides free English language assessment test. They schedule the test for you as per your convenience and on assessment they suggest whether you need to joing English language class or not. You are always warm welcomed at this place.
