Mainstreet Equity Corp. - Regina Office

Don’t rent with them! They are the worst ever and buildings are very old and they been charging me extra 100$. They are just scamming people worst experience ever!

Mainstreet is mostly a scam. It is months that have waiting for my deposit (the place was really clean). I try to contact building manager and they always said that they will send it. They never do. They lie about your rights (they have to send the deposit less than a week not a month like they said). Please take any other place than Mainstreet.
EDIT AFTER THE OWNER RESPONSE: Mainstreet just tell me to send a email. I send one weeks ago (after they post this response) but they never answer back. It is typical behavior from Mainstreet. No one seem to call you back or answer if there's a problem (for example, their customer service say they will call you back within 24 hours but they don't).

There's a tons of other problem like broken washer and drier for weeks, painting over doors that you can no longer open, fire alarm that falsely goes off in the middle of the night. This place is a nightmare to deal with.

Worst experience ever all the workers are very rude even there services are the worst do not rent mainstreet ever
You will not get hot water
Heater will not work properly
Even the doors knobs are broken
Fire alarm also start beeping randomly
And the service the department is worst they don't know how to respond with clients
Shame on these office

VARY RUDE Resident Manager (ANGAD PHOOLKA) specially and customer service system. Just diverting from one to another. HIGHLY PRICED compared to surrounding rental. DONOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Enny was our property manager and was very understanding and helpful too our situation thank you so much for everything I really my stay in your Alexandra property Hazel and I made friends with neighbors and the maintenance team as well I would definitely live and rent from mainstreet in our future thanks for everything

We were greeted by Simran, and he showed us a few properties that we liked because of the space offered and the location of the same. Nice options.

Master scam artists working at this company. All working together under the same roof with one objective. Scamming good hardworking people. Plumbing here sucks, kitchen sink leaked all the time, and there ac units don't work whatsoever (super hot in the summertime). Overpriced units, and terrible management. I would rather live in my car than get an apartment with these scammers

I will never recommend it to anyone to live with mainstreet specially when the manager is Sukhraj. I had the worst experience being there.

Bad service at all no maintenance. Don’t prefer mainstreet as there head office also drop the call if they don’t have answer so rude.

Buildings are in bad shape from foundations, to plumbing, leaks in pipes that are just wrapped and clamped, never fixed properly. Boilers that don't function properly, cockroaches a big problem, I feel sorry for the tenants. Electrical work done by unqualified people. Entrance doors that don't open or close properly, locks that don't work.i could go on and on about the problems.

Worst management. They try everything to keep your deposit and never there for help when you are actually staying there.

They are very irresponsible. The washing machine is broken for long time but after several complaints they don’t fix it or take any action. This is so frustrating.

My experience here was mixed. There are ongoing pest issues, but Ziyu was great to deal with. He was always polite and attentive to any maintenance needs, and was kind enough to write me a reference letter. Give that guy a raise.

Lived here 5 years. Absolutely no problems; good experience. Ziyu was wonderful to work with upon departure. Always impressed how hard the maintenance and yard keepers kept on top of things- tried very hard to keep things neat.

Very good! Very quit and nice unit in east side. Also, resident manager Ziyu is very easy to communicate with.

I have lived in one of these buildings for just about a year and have had cockroach infestations on and off for the entire time. I have lived and rented in Regina for about a decade and have never had this issue anywhere else. The problem is clearly with the entire building and not just my apartment, since I know for a fact my neighbours have also had to be treated for cockroaches. But they only ever treat individual apartments, never the entire building, so the infestation keeps coming back. Property manager is very unhelpful with this issue and as far as I can tell has never even attempted to find a long-term solution. I am typically cockroach-free for about 3-4 weeks at a time, then infested for 2-3 weeks while treatment is arranged and sent out, and that cycle just keeps going around month after month. It is very frustrating and has given me a great deal of anxiety, and if I hadn't signed a lease I absolutely would not still be living here.

Edit: Mainstreet has now responded to my review below, essentially saying that they do take this seriously and treat all units. All I can say to that is that if what I've been seeing so far is Mainstreet taking this problem seriously, they are bad at problem solving AND pest control. This issue is still ongoing and is in no way resolved, nor has any effort been made to make up for the poor handling of this problem.

Toufiq Anam is the best Resident Manager in Regina. He helped me a lot in fixing all my apartment issue in my sons apartment. I hope that he get successful in every point.

It has been a great experience living with Mainstreet Equity. Their services are very good. Maintenance requests are done pretty quickly.
I would have still lived there if I had not moved to my own house.

Wouldn’t prefer to live with bugs and cockroaches! All appliances weren’t even cleaned even though they said the whole unit is “DEEP CLEANED”! Even refused to change some appliances which were occupied by cockroaches. Worst experience ever, would recommend to check with other rentals first. Thanks

I can give mainstreet as Negative 5 stars. I am living in the property at 27, Kleisinger Crescent from last 1 year. These 12 months had 12 different issues started with Bed bugs (Jan 2022), Mail box breakage (No camera working), Dog toilets filled up in front of my window, No snow cleaning all winter season from parking lots, only vaccum once a week in common area (garbage keeps collecting), Hot water leakage in building grounds (noe wooden floor is swallowed and cracks are coming with huge smell from ground). All my complaints are registered but staff is really unresponsive. They always say but dont do anything. Sharing every pictures i have in last one year.

Aug 17,2022- Building manager did arguments on reviews. Building manager just visited today at 6PM to show unit 9. Me my wife, and kids visited unit 9 and finalised with condition of waiver of transfer fees.

After 10 minutes he came again at my unit saying that this unit is occupied by someone else. Really the unit occupied within 10 minutes?

I recently shifted to Mainstreet Apartment in Regina. Manager Gursher is very helpful & active. He respond immediately whenever we call him. He fixes all the issue which we report. People like Gursher is the company asset for long term goal.

I could do a 5 page rant about all the things that were awful about living here but really I'd rather just have nothing to do with it anymore. For all potential people planning to move into an apartment under Mainstreet Equity Corp: please consider other options.

Booked a viewing for an apartment on a rental website to which I was told to meet at the office and not at the address of the listing. After arrival had to wait in office with three other workers who were not wearing masks, all busy on phone calls even at time of appointment. After meeting with realtor we were told to follow him to the apartment which was at a completely different address then the listing. The apartment we were taken too was not at all the same as the ad and not at all like how it was in the photos. The apartment was dirty and dark. Dirty carpets instead of linoleum, no dishwasher or new kitchen backsplash as promised in the ad. When we asked why it was different he said they use the same photo for all the listings. If I was alone without my partner there I would definitely have been afraid as I was taken to an entirely different location.without being told why? Kind of misleading as their ads should include photos of the actual apartment with the correct adress? Would not recommend to students or anyone really. Very disappointed in this company.

We really love our landlord Mr. Gursher in 2155 Rose street. He answer quickly and give a good price

I have been wanting to write a review ever since I received new management. My new manager Debra in Regina south is amazing. She has been making my stay here extremely positive and I can't thank her enough. She is VERY responsive and any concern is dealt with ASAP. She is a true asset to Mainstreet. Thank you and I hope you will continue to be my Building Manager for years to come. Thank you for taking care of us!

I also wanted to comment on the man who cleans my building. He does an amazing job and has been here since i moved in. I do not know his name but he is an extremely hard worker and very friendly outside of business hours when I see him around the buildings. Again ty for making my home pleasant.

Doesn’t Deserve even 1 star. If you are thinking to rent in this property BE AWARE I am living in 3525 Avonhurst Drive, Regina. Few days ago they pretended to remove snow from parking lot but didn’t workout well. Worst snow removal I ever seen. After snow removal there were still piles of snow in parking lot. My car got stuck.
In addition to that, I am complaining and contacting them from last week (Last Friday) after winter storm regarding snow removal. Nothing has been changed since. I talked with property manager “Abu” and he assured me that they will clean tomorrow which was last Tuesday (Friday today). Then after nothing happened. Tried to contact him again but he didn’t respond to my calls at all. So I complain in head office and they said they will take it seriously and will take complain to Upper Level. Since than nothing happened. Customer service is worst and on line Call Centre people are Very Rude.

Moved from out of town, had everything set up over the phone. Great Service from Era and helping to accommodate and holding the unit until I moved it. Thanks a million.

I must want to say that the lady Debra. She is damn good in nature. She knows exactly how to handle clients on their difficult time.she was there when I texted her even she also available to me on her off Just love her.

My worse experience is living in a mainstreet basement in Regina. Mainstreet puts a family of more than four children in the upper flour. The noise is sickening. They always shift the responsibility and will ask you to call police after 10 pm if the noise continues. The police is solving problems they did not create. If you want to stay in a maintreet basement in Rae street Regina please reconsider your decision

Professional Management, Awesome service & quick response time. When I left India and came to Regina I felt like I am at my home. Thanks to Gursher Chander who is my property manager here. Gursher is a terrible manager. I had a vehicle drive into my living room window destroying it. Maintenance came out and put up a couple pieces of plywood but I asked to have poly put up to seal out pests and have the glass cleaned up but I was assured that it would be taken care of the next day. After a couple days I contacted Gursher to find out why no one has come out to seal the window and clean up the glass and Gursher promised he would personally come out the next day but that was a lie. He never showed up. I had to email mainstreets main office before anything got done. Finally 5 days after the incident someone came out to clean the glass but still no poly. It has now been 2 weeks and still no poly. I have pictures of spiders I consistently have to kill and the temperature is now dropping below 0 and they haven't turned the heat on so the apartment is cold in the mornings. I don't understand why I am being treated so unfairly as I have done nothing wrong. All I wanted was for maintenance to seal the broken window off with poly to keep pest out but instead I'm ignored and shown a lack of consideration. I will not renew my lease and will actively make sure I make everyone I know aware of how poorly this company treats their tenants.

You can rely on Mainstreet company whenever you think of renting because they have buildings everywhere and in each spot in all cities.

Thanks to Gurusher for all his help. He is friendly and always proactive when it comes to any kind of queries/ issues. I would definitely recommend to someone who is looking for a rental apartment.

Currently living in 4120, retallack street.having lots of issues in my apartment.service is slow and maintainance staff is so rude.always having problems with the smoke detector keeps beeping everytime.cockroach issue is worst in here.whenever trying to call the mainstreet office they are so rude.

If there was anything like a zero star, I would sure give this rental company. Their house is full of beg bugs and pests. They fumigate and their chemicals do not work. I and my daughter have been bitten by bugs constantly since we moved into their building and nothing get solved. I have lived in canada for almost 4 years and have never been bitten by bugs until we moved into their building. I went to them to have a discussion about moving out and pleaded that I would move out because I dont want my daughter to get sick from constantly been bitten by bugs, they still insisted on collecting one month's rent and 30 days notice.
This was the same apartment that when I moved into, the refridgerator was not working, I informed the resident manager. By Monday, all the food I had in that refrigerator got spoilt, and not a simple apology from the company. I would never rent from them nor allow anyone I know rent from this company except they change.

Staff of mainstreet is really helpful. Specially, toufiq sir who helped us a lot. Apartments are with proper utilities but i have problem with wifi connection because my study is online and i have to face many problems. As wifi charges are included with rent so they have to provide fast speed wifi for students. Please note my this problem. Thank you

As i had newly moved to the city i heard alot better things for you guys and must say that mr.gursher has very well proved that.
He has been very friendly and courteous and guided me very well with all options available on his list to suit well to my needs for leasing an appartment.
He proved well as i later recommended my friend as well.

Saw a really nice apartment on Kleisinger had all the bells and whistles. The lady that showed the apartment was very friendly and professional. I am still looking at a few options, but my first experience was a good one.

This place is horrible do not come to rent it they will never understand your problems, you can get way better appartment in their price.

I am living with Mainstreet at Alexandra Street apartments. Nice place to live, friendly staff and great company. Will recommend you rent with them.

Moved in on Rae street this month. Apartment is great and neighbours are easy going. Not sure how long the deal lasts but I had a $99 deposit which was great. I am attending University of Regina and I am living pretty close to campus (it is only 1 bus).

We have some issues with our apartment but Folake & Priyen shorted out very nicely.

Zoe helped me transfer from my previous suite to a Mainstreet property closer to work, the process was easy and fairly straight forward. I feel the manager deserves recognition for her great service.

We live in 40 Froom Cres Regina, honestly this company is the poorest and horrible, it has been 3 weeks we do not have WiFi. Contacted the office several time no one cares couldn’t fix. Loundry is also tribble, always water on the floor, drying machine does not work. No customer service at all!

Thank you Folake for taking immediate action on request to install curtains as well to solve out other queries.

I had lived in one of mainstreets properties BEFORE they took over and everything was good.below is a list of things that took place after mainstreet took over.
-Sketchy people walking the halls all hours of the night
-constant odour of marijuana
-Residents Pitbull walking in halls with children in building
-obnoxious music penetrating the walls all hours of the day
-front door often doesn't lock allowing anyone to freely walk in
-ignorant landlord with poor communication (not informing me when he was unable to come to meetings and not being cooperative when asked for giving me my mail on time once I had moved out)

Toufiq helped me finding a wonderful renovated place with Mainstreet Equity Corp.near golden mile area. All of works request regarding my apartment was responded quickly and completed on time. This neighborhood is one of the best in town. I will recommend Mainstreet to everybody.

I go to University of Regina. I live in a Mainstreet Equity property close to a bus route near Golden Mile. I am ready to get a bus that takes me right to campus. The area is extraordinary, I have grocery stores, restaurants, everything. I don’t have a car, so being in this area has been astounding.
