Steer clear of mainstreet everyone. They don't take care of their buildings and have cockroaches everywhere. Most poorly managed company I have ever worked for as well.

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY
I viewed three places and they weren't even in "presentable" condition. One room had glass on the floor, another room was completely missing a cupboard, next room wasn't even swept up and the bathroom heater was smashed in. I expressed concern and all the lady had to say was "we'll clean it up before you move in. " Bruh, isn't the place suppose to be presentable before you show it to a potential renter? That's not even the worst part. Upon replying to the ad, they don't even know what they're advertising. You send them an email, they ask what are you looking for. You give them a text and they ask the same thing. Do these people not read their own ads? The person showing me around didn't seem to give a hoot and wasn't very pleasant. They also advertise $615 then "starting at $700+" but don't actually have any rooms for that price. They want $800 for a place that's not even maintained. Take your business elsewhere and rent from private people as these rental companies do not care!

Building on Temperance has flooded 2 times now in 6 days I’m told it was fixed but still is not fixed nothing has been fixed or cleaned. Front entry stinks now mold will be growing. Nobody come to fix anything and washing machines all out of order. Building manager has never fixed anything (Nitin) and rude and I was talking to fire man about fire hazards and building hazards due to flooding and he said they will be big issues with nitin soon

I was looking for accommodation in Saskatoon, l got hold hold of Jessica Jones.l'm extremely happy with her service, she responds promptly be it during office hours, out side office hours, or weekends. She assisted me with my application, took me through all the steps until my application was approved. She is very professional.

Slumlord.they dont fix anything. Building has had no buzzer for over a year. Broken glass all around buildings and garbage all over the place. AC dont work, laundry doesn't work, mailboxes get broken into, it goes on and on. Disgusting

There has been unknown issue for no water coming and that’s has happened twice… since yesterday water is running very slow in all taps and shower she sent the maintenance guy and he checked 1 hr later water was running okay. I expect to have it resolve once and for all and not contacting managers every time… would suggest not to rent waiting for my end of lease… I would highly suggest to see other properties for rent.as the higher management don’t take responsibility and resolve it… when asked to speak with higher management team the lady would not speak to me speak to me and asked her assistant/ receptionist to tell me she is busy in meeting…

A fire today (July 20th 20th, 2021), at yet another Mainstreet property. The drug dealers operating out of 105-602 Appleby Drive Saskatoon set their kitchen on fire. Thankfully, everyone was able to get out safely. This is amazing due to the documented fact that the entry and exit doors are frequently broken and residents are not able to exit the building. Despite multiple complaints from residents, Mainstreet refused to address the problem. Thankfully, fire investigators took reports from residents and Mainstreet is finally getting charged with numerous fire code violations. Mainstreet is complete and total slumlords. Now it's been proven and documented that Mainstreet is more than happy to risk human life to save the cost of completing life saving, simple repairs, and renting to meth cooking drug dealers in order to make some money. The owner of Mainstreet is a slumlord named Bob Dhillon.

I have been living 1817,22nd street west like 4 years. Building manager and area manager is not helpful, such a worse person. Management and maintenance also bad. Any issues they doesn’t fix. They treat us like a animal living here. I’m so disappointed to live here.

It was a hard experience moving to a new country and a new community, but dealing with Mainstreet made it better. As we were able to communicate with them, they offered us a good price regarding the apartment that we wanted to rent and we accepted it. Since then, we call the manager whenever we have any problem in our apartment and they send us the help that we need at once.

Awful service. I live at 4234 Degeer Street. The heater always turns off when it's heavy winter. And the customer service is never helpful, instead they tell us that they can't to do anything so we have to wait for couple of hours. Very rude representatives, they require proper customer service training. And mainstreet should make sure that the heater works properly when the temperature is gonna get low. Everytime when it's below -25°C, the heater stops working.
Their sideways are never clear until after a week of snowfall.
I would never recommend mainstreet now.

I’ve only lived here for 3 months, we’ve been evacuated twice for carbon monoxide leaks, there are cockroaches in the building, there are water leaks all through the hallway. The building manager is extremely rude and unresponsive to any requests. These guys are slumlords, the exact definition of slumlords, and should be embarrassed and ashamed how they conduct business.

Allen Yue was very kind and professional, he helped me find an amazing apartment, and in less than 48 hours I had the keys to my place and could move in! Very helpful and a good experience overall.

I had the best living experience with them. I was a resident for them in Regina and they usually solved all the issues we had within the next 2-3 days. Would rent with them again!

I didn't expect that any company's staff will be available after working hours to help me out, but Mainstreet one is 24 hours available to assist. I called them many times at evening time asking for assistance and they were in front of my door in few minutes. Actually, I had a problem with my apartment's door lock one morning at 07: 30 AM and called the building manager, and he was so quick in responding to my request and he was there in 10 minutes. I can say that I believe the note that they pasted on the building's wall.

I like that this company always takes the lead in taking care of us as residents of their buildings. They shovel the snow once it snows and paste notes to provide updated information.

I’ve been trying to get a hold of the landlord for 33rd apartments since yesterday because I have a 3 month old son. An theres black mold on all the windows and the sliding door has been leaking water through the heating vent.
Every time I try communicate with someone they never give me a call back

I had to move to different provinces in Canada as I was looking for the best opportunities in my work field. I rented an apartment in Saskatoon and I dealt with Mainstreet company. They helped me a lot here.

I studied for two years in Saskatoon and rented with Mainstreet company. They gave me a great price as a student and their apartments are so wonderful.

So many unprofessional employees who Give you the run around or just treat the tenants like they don’t matter. They do not answer phone calls or texts.

I have lived at 906 Duchess street for a few months and each encounter I have had with the building manager has been so unprofessional I don’t know how she keeps her job. She makes her own office hours and does not follow the standard office hours that are posted on the website or the office doors.

Since the beginning of December 2020 our building has not had heat. I have reached out to Mainstreet multiple times and have been told “the part is on the way” “ it will be fixed today” or just plain lied to and told “ the heat is now fixed”

I have called corporate office in Calgary and was hung up on. We still have no heat and the building manager does not seem to care.

Do not rent from these guys unless you want to be treated like you don’t matter and like your just a rent cheque to them while they do not care about the well being of their tenants.

Highly don't recommend. TERRIBLE. One of the most unprofessional and useless companies to rent from. If you like being lied to that "they take your concerns seriously" and having nothing be done about the issues you're having, & if you also enjoy not having your phone calls answered or returned, then Mainstreet is for you!

I was lucky dealing with this company as they were the only ones who provided me with the appropriate apartment for me and my gf.

We live on 4238 deeger street building.so dissatisfied with their service, its our first month living here amd two times in a month there is no water without any notice.we called the manager he said its coming in one hour.we came from work and noticed no water in taps.i cant cook, cant use the washrooms.specially in this covid panademic they need to work on this type of issues

If you want to rent an apartment in a building for a company who cares about people who lives in, then Mainstreet is the best. I called them many times after i rented my apartment with them, and they were answering every time and answering all my questions.

I'm a person who wants everything to be perfect in my living place and for my luck the building manager provided me with everything I asked for.

Great building and management. They care for everyone who rents from them. They care for seniors too much. The manager was checking us every week as we have our grandmother with us.

444 5th Ave N - I had many issues during my 18 month stay: ongoing issues with bed bugs, mailbox break in, noise issues with neighbours fighting & late, loud socializing, unexplained water shut offs, no heat for a day at -40, etc.

Most individual workers were ok, but a high turnover with both staff and tenants & lack of or miscommunication between teams. Very little regard for effects on you as an individual: no regard for circumstances and no apology for any of the ongoing issues. Seemed a real focus on money above all else. Building received an aesthetic face lift: hopefully heat, water & communication issues will be addressed and bed bug issues taken very seriously. Rent increases by at lease $25 every lease renewal. No changes during the pandemic.

All in all, a stressful place to live. I've actually never had a reason to write a negative review in my live. But given my experiences here, I'd highly recommend renting elsewhere. It's a relief to have moved.

It was indeed a great day with Mainstreet when i called that number, because they were so polite and kind, and they helped me a lot to get my request.

I rented with Mainstreet in this province for two months, then I moved to another province. The most attracted thing in renting with them was that they are caring of all details. There is always a team for removing snows whenever it did. Our building was so special and different from other houses beside us. The building manager replied to all of my calla whenever I called him. It was a pleasant experience.

I have a bad memory, and the building manager helped me many times to open the building's front door. He is a great person.

The staff of this company is different from all other companies. They want to help you with your accommodation, so they will use even their days off to help people renting their best apartment. I had that experience with them as i found my apartment in the weekend with one of their staff members.

I rented many apartments with my family with other companies, but Mainstreet is a different one. The manager in the building listened to all our requests and helped us with all of them. The landlord provided us with an apartment in the main floor as my old sister has a mobility issue.

There were many people who showed me apartments in this city. Nothing was good for me or my roommates. Then, I met someone who gave me the Mainstreet phone number. I called them and they showed me many apartments with different prices. Finally, I found the best apartment with them. Thanks.

Ive had 2 different apartments with this company over the past few years and so far my experience hasn't been all the greatest. Ive found it nearly impossible to get ahold of my landlord in both places and the apartment I just recently moved into wasn't properly cleaned at all which really surprised me with this whole covid thing going on.

Moved in this month and Mohit really did amazing job by preparing the unit as we were new to Canada. The unit was neat clean and perfect.

We recently moved from India and Mohit got the unit prepared really well. We just saw the place on video call from our country but when we reached to the unit it was totally wonderful. Mohit was realy quick to reply for any queries we had. Really great employee company has employed.

I moved in this month and the unit was really good and well prepared. Mohit really made sure that the unit was all prepared and made the move in smooth for us. Really great job done by him.

Lived in the Belmae apartments for 2 years, management and maintenance was always easy to get ahold of. Cute character apartments, but with that came some quirks (like noisy radiators). I never had any serious problems though.

I have been living in this apartment for almost two years. There is a long list of things that were broken when I moved in that were never fixed (closet door, intercom, ceiling fan, oven light). Also the soap holder has a chunk taken out of it and it’s sharp. I’ve already cut myself on it badly once. Told the manager of these things when I first moved in but they’ve never been dealt with. The price is good at least. That’s the only good thing about living here.
