Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Weyburn

Brutal staff. Don’t understand medical needs. Denied a diabetic child access to medical supplies needed (sugar/juice) in pool area. Staff was rude to the parents and unwilling to compromise. Asked parents for room numbers so that she could “report them”.

This is a very quiet and nice hotel. I loved the overall ambiance. The counter staff were very helpful. Great location too. Overall recommended stay.

Great Hotel. Probably one of the best in Weyburn. Great Access to Timmy's and McDonalds.

I would rate this hotel higher if it weren't for the graveyard shift staff. The front desk staff, both morning and afternoon were very friendly and helpful. I was told about the breakfast and times, when the bar was open, and got answers to my questions. I told them i would be gone long before breakfast time and they suggested asking for some fruit and / or yogurts.
I did do this, and the graveyard staff could ONLY give me 2 yogurts. REALLY? He said to me that breKfast doesn't start until 7. This was at 445AM. I told him i understood that. It was as if he was paying for the food out of his pocket
There were 2 others leaving the hotel at the same time and they were not umpressed with him either. Doing simple math, 4 yogurts might be $2.total. Eggs, bacon/ham/sausage, toast, hashbrowns, as much yogurt as I want, cold cereal, at 7 AM would cost at least $7. When i went to school, 2 was less than 7. Guess not anymore.
The rugs by the elevators need to be replaced. See photos.
The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, but be aware, if you ask for a wake-up call, it might come 20 minutes early. Mine did, and there was no explanation.
The location is off the beaten path a bit. It was walking distance to a Tim's, a bar/ restaurant (good food when i was last there) and a Walmart.

I have stayed at different Microtels before, and this ranks at the top for some of the poorest service I have ever had.
Most likely i will stay again, but, I am aware of certain staff on a power trip.

Classy, friendly, beautifully, clean, and modern accommodation for a traveller. Not only is the staff very friendly from maintenance crew up to front desk servers in the bar area and the outside crew but they are very helpful and welcoming. I would return here in a flash I don’t think I took a picture.

Decided to try this and lots of positives but some negatives for me. Friendly staff and love the hot tub pool and sauna. Very nice spa space. Good exercise room. Negatives: pillows are lumpy, beds are not firm anymore and most of all for me is the breakfast area. Pretty simple breakfast, nothing great but no nice place to sit. I’m up early and like to come sit at a table and chairs and have my coffee. They took that space and made it into a lounge. So not even a nice seating motel area after 5. That was important to me so I’ll go back to Ramada where I get assorted pillows and a firm bed and a spectacular breakfast and a nice area to sit

Fantastic overall experience. At first glance the hotel appears modern on the outside, and the inside very much reflects that. Check-in was easy, and the customer service was fantastic. Rooms were very clean and modern, and with the Business rooms we had fantastic room sizes and amenities. We will definitely be staying again!

We ended up with a handicapped accessible room. Not a issue, though due to the nature of the shower, we could not keep the water in the shower pan. I assume the bathroom is larger in this particular room for additional space for a wheelchair to fit.
This pushes the wall further into the room, again not a big issue. The issue is, they left one of the queen size beds in the place where it would usually go, resulting in approx 20cm to the bed. Tight fit even for our 8yr old.
And the breakfast is meh.

Great experience here! Wonderful service, clean rooms, and the lounge downstairs is perfect for after long days and not wanting to go out again. Tammy, the bartender at the lounge was awesome! Was here for a few nights doing work and would recommend!

The rooms were nice and clean as to be expected. Breakfast was good.
Service was not immediate but once present was friendly and thorough. It was greatly appreciated.
Pool was nice as well.
Location was good being close to highway but couldn't hear any road noise. Amenities were nearby including a nice restaurant across parking lot.
Didn't take advantage of the Lobby bar.

Highly recommended too all travellers stay in Microtel very good hotel for all there services clean and good breakfast.

This is always somewhere I recommend for people to stay when they come visit Weyburn. Good breakfast and the pool is always a nice distraction for the kids. Large wide open parking lot in the back for campers, rv's, and semis alike.

Came out here for work. Chose this place because of coworker recommend it.

Noticed all the hotels on the strip were by Wyndham when I arrived which is kind of hilarious.

Nice accommodations. Clean. Comfy bed and really nice pillows. Nice TV in the bedroom. Connected my HDMI to it for my devices. Shower was nice. Was no bathtub. Stayed there for three nights. Wasn't a fan of their complimentary morning breakfast. I went elsewhere for that. They did have lemon water and a fruit bowl 24/7 in the lobby which was nice.

The lounge staff was far friendlier and accommodating than the hotel staff. I was sick and asked for a few cups of hot water to be brought upstairs just to be told by the front desk that I can get it downstairs myself in the lounge after I told them I was sick. (Not covid)

Tried their ribs on the lounge menu. It was underwhelming because it's not a rack and it comes in a tiny little box after the lady told me it could feed one person (lies!). I'll try their chicken wings next time. Don't expect a full course meal from here. You're better off going to Leisters next door.

Caught the short white lady with the auburn short hair and glasses (front desk lady) just vaping outside by the side while a customer was trying to get service at the front desk. Not a big deal just an observation. She could be a little bit more friendlier and professional but I assume they are just set in their ways in this small town.

I didn't get an opportunity to try the fitness or pool area as I was dying from a cold. I did over hear that the hot tub was under repairs but personally I never go into public hot tubs.

I would recommend this place but next time I'm going to try one of the other Wyndham hotels on the strip and one day I can compare the two.

Oh and their Wi-Fi gets 6.5 out of 10. It's not the best but I've had worse. Was able to watch the whole Dahmer series on Netflix without major issues (480p tho) or latency. I was also able to remote play my PS4 from home but it was very unstable due to the connection. My phone tethering provided a more stable connection than the hotel.

Tl;Dr Nice place but not the best! If you want good food, then go somewhere else to eat unless you plan on doing their barbecue steak deal.

This 5-STAR review is two months late. My apologies. STRONG commendation to G. M. NILESH JEJURKAR, Guest Services Manager KEIAWNA JOHNSTON and Bartender MONA. I had a F-I-N-E meatless burger my first night there and wanted another the next day, unfortunately at a time when the kitchen was closed. Practically salivating in hopeful anticipation, I asked MONA if there was any way to get one. She IMMEDIATELY checked with the GM and GSM and together, ALL OF THEM hit the kitchen and made me another ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS burger. And OHN in Maintenance pitched in too. That was the first, and I'll bet the last, time in my life I'll ever have that experience. AND BTW - the room was clean and comfy too. ~~~ The hotel sits far back from the highway, so you gotta look for it. WORTH IT!
