Matt, Crystal, and Josiah were the best to spend our day with. Not only are they great to hang out with, they are wildly talented. They know how to make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and never missed a beat. Every special moment was captured perfectly and our photos and video turned out more amazing than we could have imagined.

Something we love about MJ&Co is that before seeing any of our photos, they invite you into their studio for a full reveal. Seeing our day played back on the big screen for the first time was so incredible. MJ&Co provides the most premium experience and we couldn’t be happier to have had them be part of our day.

We used Mj&Co.for our August 2022 wedding for engagement photos (Matt), a short engagement session video (Matt), wedding photos (Matt & Crystal) and videography (Chris) for the wedding as well.

Long story short: We would rate them 100 stars if we could. They are an absolute MUST have at your wedding and will not disappoint. Family, friends and you will be talking about them and the photos/video in disbelief long after your special day. They exceeded expectations in every way.

Long story: I followed mj&co for years before my wedding. Their page is full of amazing footage of families as they progress through engagement, marriage, pregnancy, children etc. I knew I wanted to be able to document our story like that. We booked them over 2 years before our wedding day (they had our date available but if I knew what I knew now and they weren’t available for our date - I would have changed our date to be able to use them). My husband was dreading the engagement session, even trying to get out of it, but after spending the night with Matt for the session he would not stop talking about how much fun we had - our cheeks hurt from laughing/smiling. After that, hanging out with them and having them capture our day was one of the things we were looking forward to most for our wedding. The day of our wedding, as expected, they were friendly and mingling with our friends and family, professional, able to capture all the most special moments but also invisible? It is crazy how they are able to accomplish that. They gave us hundreds of the most beautiful photos, a slideshow that made us cry (I didn’t even cry on the actual day of the wedding lol) and a feature film and exceeded expectations (and our expectations were HIGH). I am obsessed with their whole team (maybe obvious if you’ve read this far) and not only will I be recommending them to anybody that is getting married, I will be using them for any and all of our special moments in the years to come.

Where to even begin? We worked with Matt from the very beginning of the discovery call through to both our engagement photos, final wedding meeting, and then during our wedding day. The most professional team that gets to know you and they really like to understand how you want your day to be captured and what's important to you. The quality of their imagery and video is beyond what we could have ever imagined. We opted for the streaming, feature film, and photo package and have been blown away with everything from start to finish. Book them and thank me later:) Thank you to everyone at the Mj&Co office! So happy with how all of our photos turned out! Matt had great communication when we were booking, responding to any questions we had. He was so friendly during engagement and wedding photos and Darby was the biggest cheerleader! They both made sure the entire wedding party had a fun and stress free day!

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! We had MJ&Co film and photograph our wedding in July and they did a phenomenal job. Melissa, Chris and Darby were incredible! We chose Matt as our wedding photographer because he came highly recommended, his portfolio was stunning, and after meeting him at his studio to discuss the details – it was really clear he's a fast friend. Matt is a perfect balance of laid back and passionate, which means we were immediately at ease and ended up with incredible engagement photos. I called him ahead of our wedding with concerns about my only sister and my fiance's grandma and grandpa being unable to attend (pandemic problems!). He jumped into action and put together a highly produced live video production that incorporated family and close friends on a Zoom call (projected on the wall as we said our vows), as well as a Facebook livestream. Thanks to him, we were able to have everyone we love 'join us'. While we don't yet have the wedding photos back (it's only been a week!), I'm sure they will be incredible. Matt's portfolio was initially what drew me to contacting him for family portraits. After speaking with him on the phone I was confident he would be exactly what I was looking for. Matt and his team are absolute professionals who take their work very seriously but not themselves too seriously! They are so down to earth and truly cared about capturing our family just as we are. We had a family session at our cabin at Emma Lake as way to capture our family at our favourite summer getaway spot and the photos and video did exactly that. The video captured the smallest details that I wasn’t even aware of until I saw the video. I often catch myself humming the music from our video and it reminds me of the memories we made that day. Matt was awesome to work with, and I tell everyone I know to book with him! He photographed our engagement photos and wedding photos, and the first time we met I instantly felt a level of comfort and friendship with him. He made taking photos so fun and easy! After our engagement photos I was extra excited for wedding photos because I knew having Matt there that day would make photos easy and a fun experience for everyone. Plus at the end you get amazing, professional photos (and videos!) that you’ll want to display forever. I don’t have enough good things to say about Matt. He’ll be my go-to photographer forever!

We hired MJ&Co for our wedding in the fall of 2018 and the experience was great! We had heard of them before and had attended weddings that they were the photographers were at so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. Matt and Janna made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera (neither my wife or I are naturals at this) and captured our engagement and wedding in the style that we were looking for. Our wedding had some significant cultural moments that they were able to capture wonderfully and made sure they caught both the smallest and biggest details. Definitely would recommend them if you are looking for a photographer!

Where do I even start? Matt was simply amazing. He photographed my boyfriend and I after 6.5 years of never having pictures together. What he captures is so raw, personal, and real. Taking the photos was one of the most fun and memorable days that we have had together, and that is all thanks to Matt’s sincere passion and love for what he does! Hey Bride to be! You are me, about a year ago, doing the research, putting in the time. You can stop here, because you’ve found it. Matt had been recommended to me by a friend who had this team at her wedding. They were amazing. Came early and stayed late. Scouted the area for locations ahead of time. Went the extra mile. True passion was very evident. They were able to direct a 16 person wedding party, three families and countless guests at our NYE wedding. This wasn’t just a job — we honestly felt like they were part of the whole day. We had guests comment that they seemed to be “everywhere and caught everything! ”, and yet my husband and I hardly noticed them there at all. They were amazing. They came through for us, even last minute, time and time again. During the whole wedding it felt more like we had extra friends there with us, not like they were a hired team with a job to do.

We met Matt before our wedding in 2015. Instantly we connected with his very comfortable and easy going yet professional personality, which was so important for us when choosing someone to capture some of our most intimate family moments. We didn't want "posed" photos, rather someone with the gift of finding those beautiful "tidbits" that otherwise are lost if you are blind to them. Matt captured our wedding photos in real "live" moments - the ones you think back on in reflection of special days and wish you'd captured - he did that and so much more. We were so impressed with our photos that we asked him to follow us through our family chapters (lake life, kids, fall family, Christmas tree hunting.and continued). Matt was different from anyone we'd had photos with as we grew a relationship with him (completely unexpected). He's surprised us with 2 videos (ones we didn't even know he was taking while out with him). We are so grateful for these as they are incredible keepsakes. Matt truly pulls the beautiful details out of a comfortable and relaxed meeting - like you're simply getting a visit in with a friend however he's creating his masterpiece behind the lens and you don't even know it. Can’t say enough good things! MJ&co were our photographers for our June 2017 forest wedding at the beautiful Cypress Hills, Saskatchewan. Being a photographer myself, I could picture how I wanted to look back on our big day, and Matt did an amazing job at bringing our day to life. Not a moment or detail was missed, even the little ones we didn’t know were happening were captured for us to look back on for years to come.
