New Island Sushi

Not good. I think $47 for the lunch was to much in my opinion. I had one drink, and they don't even give you a glass and ice to drink it. Buffalo sushi was gross.wasn't anything that tasted very good at all. They really need to clean the booths better to.grime and finger prints all over the walls and seats.

Amazing early lunch experience. Fresh orders a la carte for the same price as a buffet experience

Probably the worst sushi I have had. The rice was dry. The tuna was old with a fishy smell and harsh flavor. Would not recommend

No heat in the restaurant in middle of winter, freezing cold after half hour there even with winter jacket on. Plus unfortunately one waiter was very unfriendly, she would always interrupt us when ordering our food, later start telling us lots of items are sold out. Do not recommend this place, please try anothers.

Unnacommadiating. Half the restaurant empty. We wanted to go eat 2 adults and we have a baby. Just asked to be sat at a table not a booth and they wouldn't seat us.

Just so people know. Dine in is closed due to omicron. That is fine however i suggest thay if that is the case, update it on your webpage so people dont drive half way across the city for all you can eat only to be turned away

The food was ok. Service wasn't the greatest (forgot sushi rolls and ice cream 2 seperate times). We prefer another establishment with the same type of food and buffet.

Food is of equal quality to go-for-sushi, but with larger tables and more private booths.

Tv above us was playing Superbowl reruns from the 1970's for some reason? Which was distracting.

I went to new island sushi in stonebridge. The food wasn’t good, it wasn’t fresh and it lacked flavor. And unfortunately the waiter was very rude and unfriendly, we were ordering and he would always interrupt us to tell us that we shouldn’t order a large amount of food and that they don’t like to waste food even though there was 4 of us and we were very hungry and we didn’t order that much anyways. We didn’t leave any piece.

I was asked to call the other location because they didn't deliver. I phoned and they didn't do debit. Cash only. I had cash so I used that. After waiting an hour and a half my food arrived. I went to pay and I told him I want my change and he promptly told me had no change. He finally gave me a 5. Food was mediocre they lost my business

They are closing earlier due to covid. I had 20 min to order…. They still accommodate me and they gave me the best sushi I ever had In Canada! Like, amazing! Underpriced for what they deliver.

It's good food. But really expensive. I'm a small person, I can't eat that much worth of food. I am pretty sure I didn't pay that much for a fresh lobster meal at Red Lobster.

Been going since it open and created a great relationship with the staff.
They know my children by name and are always are very nice.

Consistently good sushi. Good selection of sushi and non-sushi foods so you can make sure to have the non-sushi friends/family come too. The reno over 2020 really spruced up the inside. Our favorite all you can eat sushi in Saskatoon by far. Apparently the circle location is better than the new Stonebridge location, so try the circle location.

I went here last JUNE 27,2021 at 11: 51am. The food is good but all of you girls staff infront is very rude. They don't know how to greet and every time they serve food they don't say what food they are serving.

Really good sushi, fast service and the rice tea is to die for. Highly recommended. Bathrooms were dirty and smell horrible only down part. Overall, great place to eat.

Staff are very nice, sushi is high quality and very good. We were confused but learned you needed to stand the ordering menu up for staff to take it in. The sashimi is great if you want to try out raw fish because its one piece per order.

The food was hot and fresh, but the service, oh the service. We were treated like we were at a soup kitchen. Tossed plates… definitely not service with a smile, that’s for sure… but very efficient… collected empty plates within seconds of putting them to the side. I feel sorry for the head waitress… she seems so unhappy.

Basically everything tasted like fish. Order got confused, items were served that were not ordered and items that were ordered did not get served. Atmosphere was nice. Staff was friendly.

FOOD POISONING from the Udon Seafood Noodle Soup. Similar symptoms as Covid so I had to get tested and self isolate through all of it with a 1 year old. Get it together New Island Sushi. Poisoning people with your food is unacceptable regardless of the strain businesses are under during these times. I run a business as well and am now behind and under more stress due to not being able to work for 4 days. Going to your restaurant with the limited funds I have was suppose to be relaxing and a treat.

I was really impressed with the food. Very tasty. Just make sure you order what you want the first time. The second round takes longer.

This place has nothing to do with real sushi.
The ratio of rice to all the rest ingredients is 10: 1 in any dish they serve. Basically for 2 persons supper you will pay 60$ and its all you can eat rice. So much rice that you can feel the taste of what supposed to be inside the rool. If you looking for a sushi place don't go there.

Oh man, the moment I am there, they start counting every piece of sushi i put in my mouth. All of them have some sort diploma in accountancy. But the suahi sometimes is good and sometimes makes food poisoning. Good luck to them.

Salmon was rotten, when I complained they said hold on and never came back. When i went up to the front to complain they said that since no one else was complaining they couldnt do anything and they had already thrown the food out. No compensations or anything. I have come here often and this is the first time ive had rotton food. It had a slight smell and tasted aweful. Both me and my girlfriend felt sick after eatting here, we couldnt even finish our lunch.

Really really rude service. Every employee looks unhappy. Also, if you want to eat sashimi you have to pay $5 more and still limit 30 pieces. Have to understand what is "All you can eat" or "Buffet". If you can not afford that "All you can eat" then do not open like that. Just charge every single food that's it.

Food is always good, fresh, and fast.if they actually cleaned the place once in awhile, I would probably give them a 4 1/2 -5 stars.the place is filthy and the bathrooms are disgusting.

Best sushi restaurant in town! I recommend the Mango salad, Iceland Roll, and their Udon bowls. Their sushi rolls are great and the tempura is awesome! I'm already a frequent customer and you should be too.

Decent AYCE. One of the better ones for Saskatoon. $22 for supper - but sashimi is an extra $5 which is pretty lame. Service was very attentive and prompt!

We make a point of visiting New Island Sushi each time we pass through Saskatoon. The all-you-can-eat lunch buffet can't be beat. Price is reasonable and the food is delicious. We can't wait for our next trip to Saskatoon so we'll have another excuse to stop in here!

Bad experience, we usually always went here for sushi, the last time we went, the sushi was gross and the wonton soup smelled funny, I don't know if they changed management, but I definately think that you can find way better sushi places in Saskatoon.

For all you can eat sushi it is good. Sure there are much better but they cost significantly more. Plus if you really want good sushi go to Vancouver because you won't find it here.

The food is good, but it was freezing in there, we had to wear our parkas and warm up with the tea. The staff are ok, I wouldn't call them friendly though.

Lots of good choices for lunch. The only place that makes crunchy sushi the way I like it! Can be a little messy (sticky tables, really old sitting area) but still relatively nice place. Tempura can be hit or miss sometimes (almost underfried sometimes) but meat dishes like tonkatsu are fried very nicely

Great quality, good service, nice atmosphere, reasonable pricing. Was a bit of a wait to get seated, as they were packed for the supper rush.

Great place for sushi, everything tasted fresh and as expected. We did visit a little later and felt a bit rushed to get out, but other than that, I'd highly recommend this gem!

Very good sushi for all you can eat. Make sure to save room for ice cream at the end. The mango and red bean ice cream were both delicious. Some of the pictures in the menu don't have corresponding items based on numbering. Also some of the photos didn't seem to match what was brought but it was all good either way.

My girlfriend and I come here all the time, and have always left stuffed and satisfied. But as of late, the place has seemed to have lost its edge. Almost everything we got tasted very bland. I found it hard to finish the last few pieces.
The staff had probably said a total of 2 or 3 words to us our whole visit.

Portions were on the small side wonton soup tasted more like miso soup and you had to asked to get more menus so you can order more food. Sashmai is extra and has a limit.

Their service made me uncomfortable, cashier seemed to say, I owned her one million dollars, even I paid $5 for tip.

Definitely my favorite sushi place in town. Been going here since I was a teenager and never disappoints

Went here figuring that with the reviews I found online that they would be a nice ayce place. Definitely lived up to the reviews that I found.
