Once Upon A Child Regina

I appreciate what they do but their definitely too picky on some things for a second hand store. I took a lot of very good condition used clothes that they just send back. But there's hardly any visible stains or wear at all. Idk still great clothes that people would buy.

They run a monthly free item with purchase for a piece of clothing up to 12m, I questioned why they limit the size of up to 12m when majority of babies will not follow “standard size guides” and they are limiting families that may have babies that grow past this size before they are even near 12m old.
If they are going to run services of any kind, they should try to be more inclusive. I was met with being ignored, my comments being deleted.

At least have the decency to respond. Any answer would have been fine.

I highly do not recommend! Owner is a rip off,

1) she talks bad about past employees. She barely trains you which is ridiculous and then belittles your when you make a mistake.

2) she is NOT a good business owner. I’ve heard from multiple people who used to work for her, firing them over emails, belittling, yelling at them, sitting on her phone on the main floor,

3) she bought 3 water tables from Walmart brand new ($34/each) and is trying to sell them for $44.95! This is ridiculous.

4) they buy stuff for dirt cheap and then jack upthe price. Overall, this is not a business worth supporting. All the bad reviews are accurate.

I would give zero stars if I could. Bunch of crooks. This place is absolute garbage. It looks like they went to Walmart, bought 3 brand new in box water tables priced at $34 and they are trying to sell for $44 in their store! Absolutely sickening. Never will step foot in that store again. Shop somewhere else

If I could give it a 0 outta 5 i would for experience. I bought my 6 month old Grandson a winter outfit without realizing there were no boots to the outfit. I tried returning an was told they will not refund or buy back as there are no boots with ski outfit. I told them thats why I returninh an was told they will still not take back.pffft.

I am really disappointed with this place. The store clerks were very polite, however I was truly flabbergasted with the owner (I am sure she was the owner an older heavier woman not lady). I didn't realize the 'rules' were you needed to bring items in in Rubbermaids not garbage bags and the clerks kindly mentioned that to me upon my entering. It was no big deal as I had Rubbermaids in my car. The clerks said I could change them over in the store so I was doing that respectfully.
All of a sudden, the owner came up to me and literally snapped as I was taking a tag with pins off one of the dresses from a garage sale. She raised her voice in front of everyone and said, 'We can see you taking the pins off and they are not allowed! We don't accept items that had pins! '. If that wasn't enough, she went on to yell saying, 'Clothes are NOT allowed in garbage bags, only Rubbermaids! ' She then rudely rolled her eyes and shook her head at me? ! Are you seriously kidding me? !
She continued to nitpick most of my clothes as she sorted through them. She didn't realize I actually don't need the money, I just thought someone could perhaps use the clothes? ! Getting $5.00 for a few items wasn't worth her ignorance. Thankfully I donated all the items after that lousy experience!
I am an educated professional, and I know if I spoke to people the way she did to me I would be fired. To make things worse, I recently had surgery and didn't need her rudeness, as it took a lot of energy to drag the items in as they were heavy.
I actually came from Cozy Cradles, and have been to both place a few times. I highly recommend them in University Park, as they are classy, respectful and polite to their customers. They are also exceptionally friendly, offered to help me lift my items and their clothes items/store is very clean. Their items are also much nicer. They are moving to a new location also in the east, and their items are presented nicely on the racks-positive vibes in that store the couple times I have been there.
I am sorry, but there is NO need for rudeness, especially since the others and me were being polite. What an extremely disappointing experience. Shame on that woman. I actually wondered if she was being extra rude because I am a woman of color, until I read she behaved the same way with others on here after I scrolled through reviews. I have NEVER experienced anything like it in Regina or Moose Jaw where I'm from.
I agree with some others' comments-if you don't know how to behave properly, don't own a business! Work somewhere behind some desk where the public does not have to deal with your sourness! How immature honestly!
Even worse, she was behaving very inappropriately, as customers and clerks were watching her trying to unnecessarily insult me.
I would rate her a 0 but there is no spot for a 0. I emphasize the 2 other clerks were fine and respectful.
Behave classy if you are a business owner, especially in this day and age of covid where businesses need customers. WOW.

Stellar business, very friendly with amazing service. Highly recommended to any parent of a newborn, but parents with children of any age will benefit from this store. Incredible deals especially on newborn clothes, toys, and books. Very well organized and well priced, 5 stars.

Only positive things to say about this place! The owner and her staff are so friendly and helpful! The products are sell are usually top quality and in great condition. I never have problems finding what I need and more! If you have kids (and they grow quickly) this is the perfect place to get your stuff!

Great consignment store. Lots of options for clothes and other children's things at great prices

A friend told me about this place it's supposed to be a good place to buy used baby items. I went there and noticed right away they had baby blankets marked for $20 plus tax when they sell at Walmart for $14.95 and used play pens for more than what they are sold for new instore, I was looking at one they had marked for $200 when it's alot less than that at Walmart. Expensive place for something that's supposed to be budget friendly, everything they have priced in store you're better off just buying brand new since you're basically paying retail price if not more at a used clothing store. People that work there are also really rude, you're better off shopping somewhere else where customers are appreciated and valued. Save yourself the trip over priced place for used baby things.

Lots of good stuff for new and seasoned parents that won't break the bank. You need time to look through everything if you go

Great place for baby and children's clothing and accessories. The business will also buy items that are in good used condition as well as brand new. If you're looking for great prices, this place is a great choice.

Lady that runs it is super ignorant. I bought an item from her the other day and had to return it as the boots wouldn’t fit my child. She gave me attitude and was very disrespectful about just exchanging the item. I didn’t want a return just an exchange. I didn’t have my receipt but showed her the transaction and she said that I probably didn’t purchase them there but yet the tag said their store on it. Finally found my receipt and brought them back in and she continued to be ignorant rolling her eyes. I lived shopping here but she isn’t a people person and shouldn’t be running the establishment if she’s going to be disrespectful to her purchasing customers. Than I had to fill out a form just to return it and through the process she was rude. I have never been treated the way she treated me.

Great place to shop for under budget deals. Friendly & helpful staff. Quiet environment and very organized shop.

They maybe looked through one box out of two and claimed there were stains and to worn, when I took tags off and my daughter wore once for pictures and was taken out of them. Customer service is disgusting from everyone there.

Great lil spot tucked away. Childrens store with designers clothing. However they DO NOT PAY ENOUGH MONEY FOR THE CHILDREN ITEMS THAT YOU BRING IN BUT TURN AROUND AND SELL IT 10× MORE THEN WHAT THEY PAID FOR IT. Also they need to not be.such perfectionists with the items they do take

We used to sell our kids' clothing to this store and found a few great pieces to purchase as well. However, the customer service has been on the decline in the past few visits I've made here, so for that reason I will not be returning. There are still many stores (consignment or otherwise) in the city who still value their customers and they are the ones who get my business.

It's a little small, theres an old musty smell from the used clothing, which is probably to be expected, and theres no shopping carts like Saskatoons location, but it's ok otherwise.

As a single mom buying second hand is definitely a necessity of keep a good budget. I was little disappointed today on my visit as I felt many items were over priced and in really "used" condition, more than most. I have been here many times before but feel that the quality is lacking this visit. Could be because of back to school but I feel it has slipped a bit not getting the best bang for my buck as a few items I looked at could be purchased brand new for a few dollars more than asking price, which doesn't meet the standards of the store pricing. Still a great little store, just a shame it's not like it once was.

Always helpful staff and there are usually deals to be found. My only complaint is that sometimes the clothes are hung in the wrong size section, resulting in me buying things that end up already being too small for my son.

Bought a stroller from Once upon a child. I payed $200 for the stroller only to get it home and find out it had a smoke smell to it. Tried scrubbing it and everything nothing worked to get the smell out. I was extremely disappointed. I had to throw the stroller away It was a big waste of money.

Was not happy with the service I had today. I got half of my stuff given back. Excuse was few of my clothes had hair on them. My clothes had two strands of hair on two outfits and that is a send back? Plus, the sales lady said to go home and wash. Did that all morning doing that. Then got told I had stains. Their was no stain because most of the stuff still had their tags on. I rather be told the truth then lies. If you are honest then I am happy to come back, but lie i’ll go elsewhere. Thanks for the bad experience.
