Great service. Jamie and the team in parts and service are great. They value customer service. I will continue to got to to them for boat services. And I would recommend them to others.

Waverunner had a vibration that increased with speed. I replaced the spark plugs and tested the coil packs. No change to the vibration. I checked and no engine codes were found. Obviously the vibration was cause by something else. Took the machine to a "Yamaha dealer" (not Open Road) who said they couldn't simulate the problem running on the hose. I told them the vibration increases with speed. They said a mechanic will check it out on the water. They claimed to have fixed it. They said it was a dead spark plug.and charged over $600 mainly in labour charges to take the unit out on the water. Obviously they never verified their repair as it still had the original problem.

I was very frustrated and decided to take it Open Road Recreation.
Their mechanic took a look at it and verified it was not the engine causing the vibration possibly the impeller and shaft. I suggested the vibration was worse than just a nicked up impeller and he said he would dig deeper into it. He ended up relpacing bearings and seals which took a while to get but when I tried it out it was perfect, no vibration.
I encourage anyone with a Yamaha that requires repair to go to Open Road Recreation and avoid the othe "Dealer".

The staff at Open Road are friendly and knowledgeable. The technician (Terry) who worked on my recently acquired 1992 Yamaha 115 ob was very experienced and conducted a full inspection of the engine.offered me some very useful advice to save money and improve the performance of the engine.

I will definitely be taking my boat back to Open Road for annual service.

We brought our 1990 Sea Ray to Open Road Recreation for repairs and picked it up on June 30. The service technicians were great! Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication about the boat key and it wasn't in the glove box. On July 1, we contacted Open Road Recreation through their Facebook/Messanger page and prayed that somebody would answer our cry for help. Ryan immediately reached out and came to our assistance! He willingly met us at the shop and helped to find the key! What other company would go the extra mile for their customers!? Customer service is everything and Ryan with Open Road Recreation has definitely gone above and beyond to help us on July 1! We will not hesitate to return to Open Road Recreation for future repairs and purchases! Thank you!
