Staff is often friendly but sometimes it is hard to get their attention at the till because they occasionally just sit and talk to coworkers while you are waiting.
Great selection of items and fantastic place to find tiny dog toys.

Was in there for about 45 min looking for kitten wet food and toys and not one employee asked if I needed help or wonder how I was making out.
There food was not labelled well could only find one type of kitten food.

The staff are polite, knowledgeable and friendly. I go for the fish as the store has a good return policy but I find the plants a little pricey. Have had good luck with the fish though.

A better alternative to the Petland at confederation but they have the same prices. I believe if you are looking to adopt a pet you should go to a PetSmart instead.

Stonegate's Petland offers a vast array of supplies for nearly all types of pets such as food, enclosures, toys, bowls, and other accessories. Staff members are very helpful, especially for first time owners of certain species. They will go through the nitty gritty details in how to take care of your animal.

They also have the largest selection of adoptable animals so far in Saskatoon. You'll find hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and rabbits (small animals). Budgies, cockatiels, finches, canaries, conures, and quakers (birds). Cats from the SPCA. A wide variety of common fish and reptiles such as guppies, bettas, snails, bearded dragons, snakes and lizards.

They are abusing their fish. There is a rack of betta fish in tiny cup sized bowls, betta fish need at least 3 gallon tanks each and those bowls are no where near 3 gallons. The fish are barely moving and I'm concerned for their health.: (

Was just there waiting in line to pay for my cat food and gave up. One cashier struggling with a customer while the other 2 are hiding in an office. And the line continued to grow so I just left. No customer service skills!

Employee at the reptile section tried to convince me to change my snakes feeding routine to a dangerous schedule of power feeding. This causes the snake to grow faster but reduces lifespan and causes fatty liver disease. I would not buy reptiles here if they are keeping their animals on the schedule I was recommended.

Many of the hides they offer are unsafe for snakes as well with small holes in the design they could outgrow and get stuck in.

Turning into our go-to pet store for guinea pig supplies. Always has lots of staff available to help and a good selection of products. As far as I know it's Canadian owned too.

Got ferrets from here, lady was very happy to see them leave (not in a bad way). Just whent here today aswell to get toys and was not greeted but someone did pass by many times and was delighted to see the boys they did seem very busy. Happy with purchases otherwise, they are a great new addition to our family

Awesome service in the fish section! The lady there was super helpful and gave some great advice. My tank is clear now and my fish are happy.

Thank you for saving my biggest headache: my rabbit. She had broken out of her fabric cage inside my car while on our cross country Canada trip and was causing a royal mess in the car. This plastic cage and the great price and location made it a day saver

We were gifted some stuff for our puppy. We went there to get exchange on it as the size of the products given were smaller. We were denied to do that because they wanted the person who purchased this for us in the store for any exchange.
Store Asst manager was right at the back listening to all the conversation but didn’t intervene at all. When we left store employee came out apologizing to us that he was wrong about the policy.
It almost took us good 15 minutes to put it in their mind that receipt clearly stated that product should not be used and can be returned in 30 days. Very disappointed.
Will never visit

They have a ton of fish. Also, unlike Lowe's, their employees actually know their products and a lot about what they sell.

I don’t recommend this store. Some young staffs there are not knowledgeable and quite rude.
Another location (confederation) has way better services.
And pet smart staffs are really nice!

I have bought fish here and they die with in a month. I fell in love with one of the hamsters a d bought him in august sept and sad to say he had passed away yesterday after spending over 240 on meds and then we got him cremated as he was my bestest buddy. It seems like any of the animals we buy here they die fast hoping are bunny wont

Very well informed staffs and helpful too. Good stock for pet supplies and a good place for kids to hangout with animals in the open.

A decent pet store with most of what you need. I'd like to see more made in Canada options in general, at any pet store. But, you can get whatever you need at Petland.

I feel most things are very high priced most things can be bought at other department stores same brand name but 20% cheaper

A great selection of animal items at pretty fair prices. The staff seem quite friendly, and they have lots of animals to view and purchase. I enjoy stopping in here but the smell can be overwhelming for us. They need better ventilation.

Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, not pushy in anyway as they want to make sure you can take care if these animals before you buy them! Good job petland!

Veike helped us out 110%. Told us things that would work to help our bearded dragon as well as assisted us in a future decision about getting a snake. Let us hold a couple of animals to ensure we are comfortable in the purchase.

Had issue with dog bones took them back to store. Showing that they are splintering fast easy full refund.ended up buying a different kind this time my Shitzu destroyed the boucherie beef rib bones.

And then there are some that just ignore you which in my terms is not right.
Sad that we have to find a worker to help find what we are looking for.

I called Petland last week, booking a complete grooming for my dog.
And when I got there, the groomer said, “shampoo and brush? ”, I said yes. (I thought she meant do you also want to buy the shampoo and brush services.)
After an hour, I went pick up my dog. And he look exactly the same.
I was shocked. Cause I expected him to have short hair by now.
So I said to the groomer: I thought he’ll get a complete groom? That’s what I booked last week.
And she said to me: O, I asked you “shampoo and brush? ” And you said yes.
I didn’t say anything back to the groomer, I just looking at my dog all happy and small good.
And then the groomer said: it won’t be good for this kind of dog to get complete groom anyway. It will hurt his hair.

I’m speechless. Spent 65$, just to get him shampoo and brush.
What a joke. I mean, hurt his hair? Really?

I had the most helpful, pleasant knowledgeable young staff member help me choose aquarium supplies. I really appreciated having their assistance.

Best place for pets. Collect points through their program, helpful service and some difficult to find products can be found there - at cheaper prices than a vet clinic.
