Absolutely thrilled with the experience at Prickly Pear Piercing Studio! We walked in hoping to get my daughter's ears pierced and the staff exceeded all expectations. Despite my daughter's initial excitement turning into last-minute nerves, the staff member was incredibly patient, taking the time to soothe her worries with a clear, comforting demonstration using a cotton swab. The piercing was done quickly and with such care that it seemed painless. The selection of jewelry was not only of high quality but also reasonably priced. I'm genuinely excited to recommend Prickly Pear Piercing Studio to friends and family for their exceptional service and support.

Have only been here twice, but both times it was a great experience. Friendly and quick service. Also great little place to find some unique gifts.

I was a walk in! Great experience! Haven't had my ears pierce since the 80s, so obviously things have changed! The piercer explained everything and made it a very relaxed environment! I highly recommend prickly pear!

I got my helix pierced here three weeks ago. I called early to ask them to sanitize the jewelry I wanted, and the experience was relatively seamless and overall positive. Pain was minimal, and it was healing really well with no infections or irritations.

The post was 8 mm as it should be to leave room for swelling. Since mine had not swelled and the length of the post was causing me more trouble than the actual piercing I asked to get a jewelry change with a smaller post. When I went back, it was a different older lady. I felt like she had no idea what she was doing at all, and poked around in my freshly pierced ear so much so that now it’s swollen to twice the size and more than ever even on my fresh piercing. She did not use a taper to put it through for a seamless process, to avoid poking around for the hole and ended up irritating it so much more. It started bleeding, and she didn’t even bother to clean it up or even sanitize the area. If I knew this was how it would’ve gone I would’ve just done it at home. It is SO painful.

Very professional and skilled! My child barely flinched getting her ears pierced when I was expecting tears and even shrieking, but there was NONE of that! I am super impressed!

Son got his first ear piercings, lady was very nice and patient. Nice and clean place, good atmosphere.

My daughter went here while visiting her cousin from BC, and if I could give a less than one star review, I would.
She wanted her tragus done, and to swap out her healed nose post for a ring.
She was not shown the jewelry that was going into her tragus.
The piercer was clueless about the gauge of the post that she had in her nose, and when she took it out, she left it out for so long that she basically had to re-pierce it. The hoop she used was so ridiculously big that my daughter asked her to put the old one back. Her healed nose is now bleeding and irritated; it didn’t even bleed when it was originally pierced.
We’re going to have to go to another studio to get all of this fixed.
After scrolling the reviews, there seems to be a theme of another ‘older’ woman who is incompetent, rude, and generally shouldn’t be poking holes in other people.
I also see that every positive review has a response from the owner, and the negative ones have nothing.
My sister has tried to reach out to the owner with no response. I’ve also reached out over Instagram in the hopes of making this right.
I also have had a variety of ear and facial piercings and based off what my daughter experienced, I absolutely would find somewhere else to get your piercings done and do not at all recommend Prickly Pear.

My friend and i went in to get my tragus and her nose pierced, the process for paying went quite fast and we were in the room pretty quick.my friend went first to get her nose done, the old lady who wasn’t the owner did not wash her hands and just went right into it and pierced her nose, my friend did not know what kind of jewelry she was getting put in.very soon after i was in the chair which had not been sanitized in between.the piercing itself went smoothly but i also didnt not know what kind of jewelry was getting put in my ear, after the tragus i wanted her to change the stud in my nose from another shop into a hoop which was an extra 20 dollars which i knew was going to be quite big on my smaller nose.the older lady had no clue what my stud was (literally a basic post and stud) so after she finally got the gem off and put the hoop in i looked in the mirror and i hated it.i almost walked out and then realized that i didn’t want it so i wanted her to switch it back to the stud.when i was back in the chair she took the hoop out before she had anything ready to put my other one back in (my ears grow over pretty quick) so i was worried that my nose would close up.she eventually stuck a needle into the hole and tried to get the post back in.she didn’t get it back in.she just kept sticking needles into my nose and i believe she eventually repierced it because my nose had closed up.at this point i was close to tears because she just kept pulling on my nose quite violently.she eventually got the post in and then i was worried that she would have a hard time getting the gem back on.she did.when i got home and cleaned my nose there was bloody chunks in my nose, for context my nose didn’t bleed when i first got it pierced.i’m definitely disappointed about my experience.

I am very satisfied with the service: the piercing is in the right place, it looks very beautiful, everything went quickly and did not hurt. I am a very demanding and mischievous client with high demands, but I was extremely pleased. Highly recommend this place.

Every time I’m there I feel safe and welcome. Any issue I’ve had with jewelry or questions, they were right on their feet to helping fix my issue. Fantastic business

The lady did an amazing job piecing my nose. It was quick and and she did a great job. I would definitely go back for my next piercing.

The store itself is nicely kept and their jewelry selection is great, however the lady (not the owner) pierced my nose wrong and i had to go elsewhere to take it out and have the proper size pierced in (because if i hadn’t my skin would have grown over the piercing or i could’ve had an infection), the customer service also wasn’t the best, so i would be careful on getting any piercing from this location if not done by the owner

UPDATE: i had to take the piercing out after a whole year of it not healing. I’m going elsewhere to get it redone

My son and I went there for a nose peircing and my 5yr old got his ear peirced. It was clean fast and very professional. Affordable, quick and relatively painless. Would definitely recommend

My friend and I were getting piercing. I got my 4th holes and she got her belly button. The older lady was working with us and both of us felt extremely uncomfortable and not in a good environment. Not to mention she charged me over $120 to do a piercing that could still be considered my lobe, as another piercing shop told me She was rude, and when someone is shoving a needle in you, the least they could do is show a little kindness and trust. This woman had nothing. Both my friend and I are now four months from when we got these, and they have not healed. I had to take mine out and get them checked out somewhere else. They told me whoever did this seriously messed up. I do not recommend, everyone I have spoken to has had terrible experiences. These people don't have your best interest in mind, they just want your money.
