The time I walked in the building years back when we relocated in Regina was one of my best moments!
I’ve learned the history the hard work everyone puts into making this place so special.
RCMP is my dream I pray will be true one day

I was here for an event in their heritage room. It was set up very elegantly and the facilities was very good for accommodating the amount of people that came to this event. There was lots of parking and light of parking lot after hours was not too bad.

It's quite interesting to visit here. You can understand much knowledge and history about the RCMP. You can even detect a simulated murder case by yourself.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Heritage Centre, Regina is a museum displaying the history, adventures, medals, uniforms, various other displays/ exhibits/ artefact of Police. Housed in a beautiful building, it traces the history since its formation in 1873. The theatre experience is amazing. The simulator driving area is the centre of attraction for children. The movie on training of RCMP is also informative. One enjoys moving around.
See problem in audio of the 3D Horse Exhibit. Being a matter of national heritage, its history needs to be introduced to Canadian public at large, and the entry should be free or highly subsidised. At the moment, it is not so. Gifts are also expensive at the shop. Nevertheless, it's a nice place; it's worth seeing.

Neat place to stop by if you’re in the area small got through the entire thing in about half an hour could probably spend an hour + reading everything.

So pleasantly surprised to hear a tour guide educating some brand new recruits on the history of the first police and its dealings with the First Nations and Metis, even covering that what was once termed 'rebellion' is now commonly referred to as the resistance.

Great museum. You learn about other stuff the RCMP do on the world stage. You will meet some retired RCMP Veterans when you visit.

The heritage center is lovely. We got to watch a video on how recruits are trained. It was really informative. I never had an inkling how much goes into joining RCMP. What a prestigious organization. The young ladies at the counter were so knowledgeable, they explained the reason behind the colors of the uniforms, and many more. I got to know what pattern of finger prints I have. Asides the video, there are places to take pictures, there are sample police cars, sample sleeping areas. It is a well planned place. There's a fee to enter but I'd say it is worth a visit.

Lots of interesting sites. Learned a fair amount. Saw medals on display that are exactly the ones my grandfather gave to me and a couple of my cousins from when he served in WW2

I was so excited to visit the RCMP heritage museum and see the sunset ceremony. On our way across Canada, we planned it so we would arrive on the Tuesday to see the sunset ceremony - and I was soooo disappointed to find out that Tuesday, July 5th did not have the ceremony and on top of that we were not able to view the informative movie as it was closed for a private showing!: (
Did not see the police dog, did not get to use or see the fingerprint display and the special exhibit area was closed.
The museum was interesting though but not all exhibits were available to us.

Amazing experience for adults and children.
Super friendly staff and facilities.
I extremely recommend the visit to anyone that goes to Regina.

It is an amazing, unique place to visit. It is a little city within a city. The church is breath taking. If you have a chance visit the one of a kind place.

It was a great, and positive experience for my kiddos. I'm sure we'll go again in the future

This is an amazing glimpse into the history of the NWMP & RCMP. The static displays of gear, clothing, and photos are fascinating. The staff are super helpful, and friendly. This is a definite must-see in Regina.

Excellently displayed and preserved exhibits, with a walk through of the storied history of the Mounties. Some interactive displays and a "crime scene" for young and old alike. Friendly bilingual staff, and a quiet park for after. Stellar experience.

Would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to know more about the RCMP! Loved seeing my great uncle's name on the pillars outside

Wonderful museum about the history of the RCMP. Easy to navigate with concise information and historical artifacts. Interesting to learn that history of western provinces and territories are so closely related to the history of the RCMP. A must for anybody interested in law enforcement and/or Western Canadian history.
13 November 2021 13:37
Majority of history and reading material in this museum is available already on wikipedia, but this place has a lot of good display of historical items. A easy museum to walk around, can be in and out within two hours.

Interesting museum, lots of history here. However, the first thing I noticed when I came through the doors was an "Every child matters" wall, that says "Our thoughts are with Cowessness First nation and Indigenous communities across Canada. Umm.there was nothing in the museum that mentioned the RCMP or their role in residential schools. I'm sorry, but the RCMP played an instrumental part in what happened, and history has established that you don't get to use the excuse "I was just following orders". I'm not the one to say what should be said (my ancestors were on the wrong side of history too) but this was in very poor taste.

Nice informative museum. Indie the police dog is there and she is very well trained and fun to play with. The gift shop has lots of gifts that are great!

I'm really enjoyed time there. Great for kids. I definitely would recommend other people to visit it.

This museum showcases various artifacts and exhibits relating to the history of the RCMP and its predecessor org the RNWMP. The museum also includes a virtual horse riding and patrol car driving experience. Visitors can also join a tour to the nearby depot where cadets are training to become RCMP officers. Witness the Anglican chapel, the first building in Regina, as well as a daily parade of cadets and scenario training.

On our way Calgary AB - London ON, my family planned a visit to this museum. My child used to dream to become RCMP member so it was lovely opportunity.
All of my family really enjoyed the time spent in the museum: exhibition itself with simulators, RCMP movie, tour in a wagon through the training center with knowledgeable guides (it was a young guy with as young lady), my husband really liked visiting church during this tour - you could feel a spirit of the time and history of Canadian generations in RCMP live.

Thank you RCMP for educating people about who you are and for all your work you do for people.

Our group really had fun and learned how much work goes into becoming a ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE
16 September 2019 20:18
Very nice educational place to see the hard work the disciplined forces go through to qualify. Makes me hold them in high regard. Very motivational for children to see
16 September 2019 16:18
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were able to be there for the trooping of the post I recommend making it if you can it is at noon. The museum is very interesting and will take a couple hours if you want to take time to enjoy. The chapel is beautiful and makes you feel that Western plains feel. The bathrooms are clean and the gift shop has a good selection. It is very kid friendly with items for each age group. The museum is also accessable for elderly and physically challenged. The people that work here are kind and professional. Should meet a RCMP officer they are also very professional.
15 September 2019 2:53
Exhibit gives a good glimpse into RCMP from beginning until now. The uniform display is interesting. There are also uniforms available to take your own pictures. Some games for kids as well.
09 September 2019 19:15
Interesting look at a Canadian institution. Enjoyed the tour, movie and displays. Kids liked the interactive elements (horse riding, driving a car) and the activity sheets.
31 August 2019 12:25
Good place to go to for weddings, any museum has interesting displays. Some of the displays are in need of repair. It’s only two of the interactive ones.
10 August 2019 23:38
A true national treasure with world class displays. They tour the Depot providing information in both official languages. As someone invested in TRC it was difficult to see the Indigenous items in police hands. However, RCMP-GRC is an important part of Canada's past, present and future.
03 August 2019 23:36
Great place to visit if you're a visitor in Canada. It was great to learn about the RCMP and the rich history of the organization too!
26 July 2019 20:14
I actually only went to the museum to be able to go inti the depot area and watch a noon parade. The museum was a pleasant and unexpected delight. The venue is well organized with some great displays and tons of history about our nations police force. Definitely worth the low admission and something every Canadian should experience. I especially enjoyed the interactive counterfeit money display.
26 July 2019 16:33
Very cool little museum. Nice gift shop. Very child friendly. Can easily go through in 30 min if you wanted or 2 hrs if you really looked at every exhibit
19 July 2019 1:57
Had a nice tour at the RCMP, very nice and cool place to learn about the Canadian police forces. Going around you can find memorial cathedral, church and cool gift shop as well. Over all great experience!
07 July 2019 1:16
We went for the Canada Day celebration Family Mountie training. It was a lot of fun: obstacle course, remote car racing, dress up, family mug shots etc. My only complaint was that it starts so late in the morning that we had leave after 45 minutes to get our kids down for naps.
19 August 2018 20:54
We enjoyed our visit at the RCMP Heritage Center. The weather was good enough that they were doing trolley tours around Depot, the name of the campus for RCMP training. The only other building that we went in was the chapel which for my tastes was less interesting. I would have liked to see the gun range and the driving course but obviously for safety reasons those were off limits. We did not see any mock arrests being made which would have been more exciting to but you can't anticipate when that might happen. It was very interesting to see the makeshift City where there are houses and boats in a strip mall to practice policing situations. The Heritage Center was more of a museum with old uniforms and tools for policing. There were lots of historical lessons above the Northwest Mounted Police that predated the RCMP. The driving simulator that was there I must say was almost undriveable but I'm sure it's not the one they use in actual training. Worth the price of admission for sure.
13 August 2018 11:11
Enjoyed the tram tour of Depot Division training headquarters and were fortunate that our timing coincided with the 12: 45 daily parade which included a marching band of recruits. The interactive and other displays were informational and nicely organized. Glad that we watched Courage in Red beforehand as it reminded me of the great legacy of the RCMP, something currently challenged as the organization works towards improving and changing itself as it has had to do so many times before. The street named after officers was poignant and meaningful. Surprised to find a gorgeous lily garden close to the Heritage Centre and loved the interactive musical ride.

You will learn everything you wanted to know about the RCMP but were afraid to ask. Plan on 3 hours if you intend to do the parade and visit the depot. Very good gift shop.
