Regina Food Bank

I'm on social services and the food bank is a godsend. I hope someday I won't have to rely on it.

This group of people have big hearts. They work hard in loud and very bizzi environments.fork lifts buzzing all around.volunteers helping out.groups of young adults with disabilities bagging up rice n lentils.there's no room to be fooling around.that's only going to lead to a accident. But amongst all the noise n hustle m bustle.most every is there to ensure the hungry n needy in the communities of Regina will receive a food hamper.it's a amazing group of employees.volunteers.contributions from food to cash donations. It's also used to educate people. I just really appreciate all the hard work n luv that is given daily to members of Regina who need some extra

Their reception and workers are absolutely garbage. We had ordered an emergency food hamper delivery, because we had no food. They had told us we will get delivery on the 11th of Aug. We had waited all day, no delivery. We called and they lied to us and said we don't get until the 15th, we begged for then to send us to the manager to see what they can do because we did not make the mistake. Manager did nothing but tell us to come grab an emergency bag of food and only have us a meals worth. She told us she wasn't taking food out of anyone's mouths or making her workers make another food hamper in witch we were already entitled to and placed an order for. So basically she's ok with making us starve a family of 4 on disability that has no money, no support, and had exhausted all other resources. Also when my fiance got there they had pushed us back again and told us we had to wait until the 18th.

Here once a week they can help you with food. They have already helped us, for which THANK YOU very much

Why the volunteers work harder than the employees at the reception? The working hours in the afternoon is from 1: 00 pm but the staff at the reception opened up the curtain at 1: 03 pm while chatting and laughing! Hungry people’s time doesn’t matter, right? Talking about the food, 1/3 were out of date. Some breads even rotted! Ironically, the packaging date of some flour was 4 days after pick-up time. Hungry people’s health doesn’t matter, right? Tired of the bureaucracy in this kind of organizations! No respect to people, no respect to taxpayers at all! I gave 2 stars, one of them is for the volunteers, they are awesome and respectable.

Me and my neighbor both applied for a hamper and i was supposed to get mine yesterday and i was home all morning and no one even showed up and my neighbor was upposed to get hers today i heard someone knock on the door and i just woke up by the time i went to go see who it was they were already gone i haven't even got a hamper since December and they made us both wait the 2 weeks i guess it's better to just sit in a house with no food and eat at Carmichael ND soup in the park everyday and even tho they have a food bank they don't even help me we had no food in the house all month long and the last time I tried going there I bussed there without fare and they sent me home empty handed n the bus driver didnt even want to give me a ride back downtown and it was waste of time and yesterday they didn't even bring any food. It like 12am and i havent even ate since like 4pm yesterday

If you’re looking for something more specific than the basic concept for humans to use in their own lives and to help people in need

As long as you have an up to date health card you can recieve a hamper full of food the same day when you call ahead n then 1 time/month after that.

If you need emergency hamper they have it, if you suddenly ran out of budget for food or food they can help you with a week or couple weeks of groceries in their emergency hamper, and if it's hard for you to make ends meet they can help too with a food hamper every two weeks. It'll save you a lot of money for other things like: detergent, or personal hygiene or other bills. Coz you got groceries from the food bank.
