It's hit and miss here.depends if it's a full moon.or cheque day.its a hospital.depending whats wrong with you, depends when you go in.want in quick, chop off a leg or stab yourself.you'll get prompt service.

Great if you're having a baby.but not so great when your baby falls and has a head injury. Waited in the ER for 7 hours to be told "theres no space" ridiculous.

Security at the front door was helpful to find the office I was looking for. Couple of cafeterias available. Parking is outdated with a person still working at the parking booth which creates kind of a jam on a parking lot. Self pay parking / phone pay?

Never EVER go here after hours. Travelling through on holidays with my wife having a bladder infection. We waited 10 hours in waiting room than another 90 minutes in our private room without being looked at, finally had to leave from exhaustion and try again the next day. This emergency is way under staffed and is consumed with local drunks and psychics that stumble In off the street and are prioritized. When finally looked at the Dr didn’t even know what she was in for and couldn’t locate the urine sample. Terrible and sad that this is a city in Canada!

I want to say, "Great thank for all stuff of Emergency department in Regina General Hospital! " Today was my first experience with Emergency in Canada. Thank you for your care and job from newcomer from Ukraine ️

The doctors are mostly rude the way they talk back to the patient is like they need to go back to school to learn how to talk.

I have been in the hospital for 2 nights after my surgery. Everyone was super friendly, great service and food. Thank you so much for making me feel good and well taken care of!

My Mother in law was admitted to The ICU initially and then moved to 6 A medical ward where she died on Sunday amidst her loved ones.

I am a physician practicing in Ontario, and I cannot thank enough the excellent care we had received at Regina general hospital.

I have nothing but praises for all the staffs in ICU and 6A
really appreciated all the love and care and empathy my mother in law and our family received.without this our last few precious days with our Dear Mother in law would have been very tough!

A while back in emerg I was practically assaulted by 5 security guards all because I wanted to wear my own clothes (after they were checked and given back to me) Most of the staff there was also very powertrippy and making me feel sicker than before I went in. When i voiced a complaint with patients advocate, they twisted the story to make themselves look innocent. Whatever, i know what really happened. This was a very traumatizing experience for me that I could not step foot in that hospital for years. However, a couple months ago (long after restrictions have been lifted) I was having severe abnormal pains. We were told they would not allow me to come in because I have a legitimate mask exemption from my doctor. I ended up staying home with the pain hoping it wasn't too serious or would get worse.

Worst triage care ever. Even in unbearable pain, they don’t have rooms to accommodate and have to wait for 7 hours. If you are not pregnant for atleast 20 weeks and above they don’t even treat you like human. Be it ectopic pain, miscarriage, whatever else it may be, triage doesn’t care and can’t handle. All they can say is we don’t have room, we don’t have room and leave u waiting for hours n hours. If you don’t have room, do something about it instead of playing with someone’s health. Gov n Management should look into this. Waste of tax payers money

Was there for surgery and they treated great the staff on the 5 floor where very nice and friendly and helpful

Disappointed in the lack of compassion this hospital had for my dad, and concerned for the complete disregard of his safety if he were to go out and get the recommended medication the doctor gave for his vertigo. He is alone, unable to have anyone pick him up, accompany him or grab him that medication on his behalf - he expressed this and asked for a simple favour if they could help him out so that he could at least have the ability, THAT DAY, to go get the medication to help for the rest of the day, let alone the upcoming weeks dealing with his condition. He obviously can't drive, but still - the doctors knowing full well that he cannot go out on his own - still tell him "No we're not allowed. "

Other reviews state that the staff at this hospital is compassionate. I suggest you keep it consistent with every patient that steps foot in your hospital. No matter the severity of their situation.

Just wanted to give a very special thanks to Dr. Tsang and the staff of 5F for being so amazing, caring, understanding and thorough in the final days of our family member. Im very proud of the health staff and the way they handle everything in such a challenging environment

Sept 15 recieved excellent care in the ER department. Fast, and accurate time. A huge thanks to
Dr. J Rossouw and nurse Cheri you kindness and compassion will always be appreciated.

This place is a joke, well the ER anyway. Wait 9+ hours to get into a room and still have to wait even longer after that to be seen by an actual staff member. One person gets called every 90 minutes even when the waiting room is completely full. Like is there only one doctor? I will never come to this ER again unless I’m dying and being rushed here by an ambulance, but even then I’ll probably die before being seen by a doctor. Maybe it’s not completely their fault but the health care system in Saskatchewan is abysmal. The province should be ashamed mental/physical heath system we have.

A patient with severe stomach ache gets no treatment or checkup who waits for 5 hrs in emergency room and then leaves it by being told good luck from "staff". Better not come to this butcher shop. Nurses n staff just emphasizes on paper works and has no knowledge at all. Believe me, A nurse that i oberved wen i was there, was checking blood pressure of guy with cut on his right eye.imagine where is eye and what she was doing 2 keep her self busy n charge govt that thy kept patient for that long.

I was having terrible back pain so that I couldn't sleep at night. Arrived at emergency at 4 am Sunday.and lied on the short chair for two hours, during which no one from all about ten patients in the waiting room was allowed to get in. The triage nurse told me some of them had been waiting for 7 hours, 9 hours was expected. I said to her, " I don't think you should be proud of it. The longer waiting time, the worse. "
The nurse kept telling me to sit and wait even after I reminded her I couldn't sit because of the pain. Finally she told me to stand and wait. I couldn't stand without the hand holding something to support my body. I couldn't lie down with only half my body longer either. It feels like I am in the hell as it is the primary emergency department. The worst thing was that no reason was given probably as they think 9 hours waiting time is normal!
This shouldn't be right.

Poor service. Nurses are so rude. Poor management… i have been waiting for 5 hours in emergency department but nobody called my name yet?
I have asked one of the nurse, she talked to me rudely and didn’t provide me appropriate answer… i would never recommend this hospital to anyone.a person can die waiting in emergency…
I came here at 7 pm and waited till 12 am.
Then decided to go home.next day again came here but still waiting for 4 hours.people coming after me getting a chance to see a doctor but i m still waiting here.i think they are racist bcz i have noticed they are seeing canadian people first and not even worrying about indians.discrimination is at peak level here…
Worst hospital in this whole universe…

My young son had a seizure. There were no tests given to him just a covid test. He was given just Advil and we just waited hour after after hour waiting to see a doctor and no doctor showed up. We ended up leaving not having any answers or resolution. I will however give the nurse we had 5/5 she was absolutely amazing as well as the paramedics! I won’t return to this hospital again next time I will go to Moose Jaw or somewhere else outside of the community. It’s sad when you have to go outside of you community just to get the help you need. When you go to a hospital you expect to get help and when you can’t get it it’s extremely disappointing. All I got out of that night was a very expensive ride to the hospital for my son and no answers.

A scary place to visit knowing you may not be seen for hours if at all. Localized statistical research could be used to give people estimated wait times. Waiting lobbies should be comfortable and habitable enough to have the majority of your patients wait to be seen. A history of racism, negligence, and malpractice has caused deaths inside and outside of this Hospital.

Waited from 4: 30pm til 8pm at the emergency room. I felt so dizzy my condition gets worst decided to go home and do self medication. Worst general hospital in the entire universe. They wanted patients to wait for hours to collect money from parking.

One of the two major hospitals in Saskatchewan! It has a long history with great innovations and excellent patient care! Thank you!

We cane in the emergency ward because my sister was not feeling well and had the worst stomach ache, but there was no doctor for 4 hours.
The nurse named caedyn said we have to serve the customers who are dying and even told us at least you guys are not dying. Its extremely rude and worst behaviour.

My husband went with my 14 month old.
She is having troubles breathing and has a bad cough.
They let them waight from 130am to 430 am with out being seen.
Then told them they were to busy to see her.
I am sorry but this is awfull I am losing my mind. I understand there are others that need to come first. But at least tell the person when they come in. Instead of making some one sit there with a baby. Not impressed sask health!

I was in an accident last year July 23rd and I spent to weeks on unit 5. Christine was nice and polite. It’s who the worker is not the facility

This place is not meant for young native people who are addicted.the most racist and abusive place ive ever been in and seen. They never gave her a chance since we got here.

I have been here for my 1 year old baby.but after waiting for 6 hours the doctors didnt come to check the baby even we told that the baby didnt eat much food since 3 days.worst experince they hold patientes for so long even if they need treatment as soon as ppssible.

Father in law is in the ICU with covid and many of the nurses have been nothing but insensitive and rude the entire him he has been in there. Constantly complaining, on there phones, and just being straight up rude to us when we go to see him. Last night they told my wife that they will be transferring him to lloydminister or PA when he’s still on the ventilator and the nurse told her “you have no say in this decision. It’s our choice” so my wife was obviously upset and was questioning why they would transfer someone that can’t breathe on their own and the nurse replies “ Do you want him to live or do you want him to die”

I was hospitalized last night. I got the best care I would ever get. The registered nurse Christina was very caring and she even provided taxi voucher as I don’t have option to go home after discharged as I had no money handy. The young man (doctor) was very good I don’t remember his name. The entire SHA was awesome. I recommend it to all.

Poor response from the ER unit, imagine a month-plus-old baby having difficulty breathing and it taking time for a doctor to show up. Regina General needs to improve her service. So appalling.

Waited 6-1/2 hours, and then had to go hone because the problem was getting WORSE and being home was going to do more good than the hospital visit. The emergency room wait times are insane. Happened last time I went too. Never expect fast service if you’re going here. Not the hospitals fault per say, but our healthcare’s. Nonetheless they seemed disorganized, and had to start switching patients around which increased wait times. Couldn’t get any medication to ease the pain. They lost a patients blue card which made him wait about 10 mins more on top of the 6 hours he was there at LEAST. Overheard another guy say it was 8 hours and ticking for him. Not very covid clean too. So many people and I only saw the seats and waiting room get sanitized once with so many people in and out.not a good experience.

I was there yesterday on call to meet my obstetrician regarding my 33 weeks twinpregnancy issue. This time i had the worse experience of my life. They sent us to labour and delivery unit we can see through the door nurses that they are laughing and talking and didn't bother to open the door and made us wait. Then there is no coordination between the nurses and the doctors. No body knows nothing. They were asking the same thing again and again with each other however i provided them all the copies of reports, scans and lab results. Wasted our 5 hours without caring that i need to eat something and what is my condition. Obstetrician came even late (almost 1: 30 hr) and rude, i mean you know your patient is waiting how can you go on a round specially when it will take only 10 minutes to talk to me. After explaining everything he asked me if I understand what he is saying in english and i dont know what made him think (and why he explained anything) i cant and i found it so Racist. He needs to learn how to talk with his patients. He dis nothing special and repeat the same things i had in my ultrasound a day before. Nurses were talking with each other until i am asking for next step. No body bother to send my urine container yo the lab for an hour and it was sitting in the washroom. Because i asked them if they want me to stay then they sent it.
Please be nice to pregnant women they are going through alot already and COVID is making things harder for them too. They need quick attention and services dont make them wait for things they really dont have too specially when families arent allowed to help and support them. Dont keep for things they dont have too may be they have kids at home and there is no one to look after. Be kind and generous towards them. Ask they if they need to eat or drink something. Be attentive to your patients first rather than making them wait when they aren't supposed too, thats why hospital hired you and thats your job.

I waited so long just to get a cast on my broken arm that is just stupid it sucks and it is gross on the inside

Superb service for Mother and Baby Unit! All of the staff are very friendly, cheerful and caring for mom and baby. This is our second time here! Kudos to doctors and nurses in MBU and thanks a lot for your care!

Went in with Chest pains on a Saturday night. Excellent response. Excellent care. 5 stars to all who worked Emergency on Sat night. Especially my nurse who was caring and compassionate throughout my ordeal.

My wife has a severe pain at the back of her neck, suspected a nerve issue. Been registered at RGH around 3: 45pm, get her vitals then wait in waiting area. Accomodated and called to move to room at 9: 30pm, again did the vitals, as of this writing 12: 18 am the following day, still waiting for the doctor, asked one nurse, she only answered. "doctors are busy". I just whispered. MY GOD.

Staff is pretty good but wait times are too long (but good enough for a Hosptial. Staff are usually pretty good and accommodating. I have only had one issue with them and that was when I was registering to get blood work done a while ago. The receptionist was rude upon approaching her, but after awhile let up after a a friendly talk. (Pro tip- try to stay happy and positive when you’re dealing with someone whose having a rough day, sometimes it’s nothing to do with you and your approach to the matter can help change they’re view on the day.

They care but sometimes not enough help for thoses who are working for thoses that are working have to double their efforts to try and keep up on the patients demands or needs

If you have mental issues this is the WRONG hospital, Samwel Uko would still be here today if they didn't turn him away.

Went in on Saturday the staff was awesome I was there for a long time but the nurses and doctors took really good care of me thank you very much

No one here seems to care about social distancing. Multiple people in a room the size of a bathroom. What a joke.

All of the staff have been very kind, compassionate, and easy to work with. They have kept our family included in decisions and have taken great care of our family member.

Half my body was broken in a car wreck in may 2019 I spent pretty much the whole summer there on 5f they took great care of me and had compassion what an excellent crew of nurses and staff right Down to the cleaning folks it really made a horrific ordeal better you guys are outstanding I’m forever grateful please keep doing what your doing

Was proxy for my dad for 60 days my dad was a long-term patience as soon as they decided that he should die they got my older brother to be proxy because they filled out the paperwork wrong they could do that always make sure proxy paper is filled out correctly by them 2 days later my dad died he was running a fever from lemonia they had him covered up with a heavy blankets and full gown no machines hooked up to him I made it there just in time to watch him die welcome to the killer hospital if you're a long-term patients run

Friend had a surgery done here. Excellent job. Makes me happy to know we have such well trained surgeons in this city.

My dear brother was in this facility for 6 days.no "nursing" what so ever! Where's their humanity and compassion? Don't want to be a nurse get another job! Not only a indecent lack of attention for my brother but his room was never ever cleaned! Really? Well I hope and pray the neglectful individuals are dealt with the same way and experience what others unfortunately have to contend with at this difficult time.what goes around comes around.that I do believe. Thank heaven above he was transfered and is being attended to appropriately and professionally. Need good staff. Call me.

General Hospital is always busy and emergency is ridiculously overcrowded. Wait times can be very long. However, if your situation is a real emergency than your wait time is first and put ahead of the rest.

When you have to visit or stay in the hospital, I find it's best to like it - really what other choice do you have (if you wish to stay sane)

Went to RGH on friday. Got in at noon, gowned up right away but waited a solid 4 hours before a doctor even came to talk to me. After an hour of talking with him, he still needed to get a senior doctor to make sure he had everything in check. Finally got my diagnosis, had to get some meds through IV, which the nurse missed the vein or something, because in my entire life, any time I've had needles, I've never bruised and my hand actually hurts to use because it bruised so bad. Hurts to move my fingers. Not impressed.

Went twice in the emergency and had to wait forever. Stuff weren’t nice with me. Last time i come back to home. Prefer walk in clinic.

SWADD needs an overhaul from top to bottom. Why is a placement clerk not advising families on their options for care homes - they just give a list of names and tell families to figure it out. They don't even tell them which ones are subsized based on income. Why would you tell someone Wintergreen is an option ($4000) when the patient only gets $1500 to live on. How is some family that is not trained in medical care supposed to know what questions to ask care home? Shouldn't they advise families PIoneer Village is full of mould and closing down before they choose that place? Or that some of the homes don't accommodate visit from pets? The family only has a few hours to make decision that could affect them forever. Santa Maria had a patient that was assaulted - there is no inspection of nursing homes (all of them have mice). Seniors care in former RQHR is pitiful. There is no guideline on how SWADD determines placement on the magical waiting list - they just blame the family when they aren't happy with their selection expecting them to be investigators themselves. My tip bring a hidden camera with you every tour, every visit to long-term care homes in Regina and area. Remember every government home has 2 care aids for about 50 residents at night.

Emergency at this hospital was one of the worst experiences I ever had.

I have had many many trips to a hospital and a file that looks like a dictionary and understand exactly how it all works, Unfortunately, I will only ever go back to this emergency if I'm rolled up on a stretcher!

Endless waiting. Better bring yourself a power bank, there will be enough time for you to become an expert in emergency room.
I have been here twice, sitting for 6 hours, didn’t see an doctor but cured myself.

Regina General hospital is the main hospital in town, and in my opinion the only one you should go to if you need health treatment. Been there a few time in different departments and was happy with the care and the way things works. The mother baby unit is wonderful! Gave birth not long ago and was very happy, privet rooms, the staff are wonderful and give you all you need, and make you feel important.
If you’re going to the ER know that the waiting time is terrible! It’s hours of waiting even when there’s not a big line, been there a few days ago again- was the only one in the waiting room (got to a room Farley fast bit than was waiting 2.5 hours to see the doctor. The best time to go and avoid big lines are 4-7 am.

Emergency waiting room and bathroom were filthy. Drug deals going on in the entrance right beside the security guard room. They were oblivious, more interested in checking if the right people were in emergency parking. The doctors and staff here are great but the cleanliness and security really are not.

This hospital is actually pretty good.the hospital is. Whoever is in charge of the outside of the building needs to be strangled in front of their children.

The parking and grounds are not. I was wondering where all the crazies were hanging out because you don’t see hundreds walking around downtown any more.

There is no security, parking is a mess, and how can there be a smoking area 50 feet from the main entrance? Why is there a smoking area at all? Maybe they should have to cross the street and smoke in the ghetto that surrounds this place.

Now 5 hours emergency room in bed noone even asked about pain. No doctor, nurse said busy. Hey government where has money for health gone. Appointees Gth or? Finally after 5 1/2 hours some nice lade brought an ice pac. Now 7 hours.no doctor visit yet. Beware if coming here.workingg on 8th hour, girl at tri.desk has no idea when doctor will be seen. New shift nurse came in. Said could be another hour. Doctors in but busy. I guess old people can wait. 7 1/2 hours. Doctor came at 7 1/2. Will run more tests. Now they appear very concerned with more testing.waiting for last test now.staff have been great, excellent when things got moving. Problem appears to be government under funding lack of physicians. Very pleased at end of session. Tests ran fast results quick decisions on results was solid.

Took a child to a busy Emergency. They did an exam, blood test, urine test, ultrasound, surgery and had her recovering in a bed on the childrens ward all within seven hours. Amazing staff at every step.

Extremely long wait times. We came in for an emergency as my wife very sick she cant stay long i ask 2 time front desk. But no one care.other while patients who had been waiting there for 4 hours with their conditions. Talk about being self absorbed. Unfortunately there is really no other choice in this city regina. Really disappointed Service

Just visited their.waited for 2 hours in waiting room and 2 hours on bed left at 7 20 AM because dr is busy with those patients who are waiting for last 8 hours (that’s what nurse told us) Lack of staff and poor services.

3 weeks ago, My daughter operated by them and I had an amazing experience overall. The surgeon and other staff were friendly, supportive and efficient. I felt in good hands! Thank you for a great experience.

Came in with my wife and 1 year old. He had a fever for a few days and wasn't eating much so we thought we would air on the side of day and go to the ER. We were just passing through town. 7 hours later we left. Didn't see a doctor. Worst experience I've had with our terrible healthcare system.

My daughter gave birth in this hospital. Her room had cockroaches. We got home and pulled out the items we had taken to the hospital and a bedbug crawled out of a baby blanket. There was no soap in the bathroom for my daughter to bathe with, the chair/bed was all ripped up and so worn down it was so uncomfortable I couldn't imagine a grown man trying to get rest. The staff were very different depending on the nurse some were nice and very helpful while others seemed rude and very distant, The door on her room had a rubber glove taped over the latch because the door would not stay closed and her recovery bed was so old the center was just a crater with little support. I would have expected more considering this is the only hospital to deliver baby's in for not only the city but rual folks as well. I'd recommend getting a midwife and having your baby at home.

My clothes were stolen from RGH, while I was under their “care”. That’s at least 500 dollars worth of winter gear. They refused to compensate me for my loss.
The doctors are third world class and the nurses are first world class. The management is weakness. Don’t rely on them to keep you safe. One star rating for this Canadian hospital.
