Safeway University Heights

BEWARE, this Safeway does NOT look like the Safeway at Robson and Denman in Vancouver, despite what the first image may tell you.

The best grocery store around University Height area, very clean and beautiful renovations and maintained great. Very friendly people work here, if you need any help or looking for some specific items, feel free to ask. They always guide customers nicely and effectively.
By the way, the liquor store has been set beside a few years.

It is a well guided supermarket that you can just enter, buy what you need and get out. Well labelled and effective till the closing time.

I shop here very frequently, so I do know the store pretty well, I do think some things are set up in a weird way but likely not anything employees can do about that. There is a gentleman who walks around the store continuasly talking in the phone with it on speak and looking down every isle and is there almost everytime I am, I find it strange. But the cashier are all super nice and the quality of the groceries are always amazing!

This used to be my regular grocer, but now I have chosen to shop elsewhere. The prices have spiked like crazy and the produce is terrible. The final straw for me is that they are now adding turnstyles at the entrances to prevent theft. I find it ironic that a company that's been robbing its customers blind for the past two years with overinflated prices is now treating it's customers like they're the thiefs!

I ordered banana cream pie from the bakery. Never knew that u can order pies. I thought it was limited to cakes. The banana cream pie was tasty. Thanks bakery department

Friendly staff, lots of delicious, quality produce and rarely are they low on inventory. Self checkout is a HUGE bonus!

Wow what attitude from your flower stand staff. Not Dawn but the other woman. Nothing but attitude when I asked for the flowers to be made into an arrangement, then she just slap dashed them together with no care. Won't be back here for flowers. Advice go elsewhere for arrangements and pay for the service to be done right, this place doesn't care.

This is kinda embarrassing but why would you still have Western Union in your customer service counter when its not been working for 2 years? I picked your location because it's the nearest on my place and I shop there from time to time. Someone should notice that from one of your staff or the management teamm as well but nobody cared.

We waited 30 minutes to get a fruit basket. We collected all of the items for 2 fruit baskets, but no one at the flower station in the store. Finally, she came back from her coffee break that was supposed to be 15 minutes, and it took her 30 minutes, and she was not happy about it. She didn't do a good job.
