Who puts sliding glass doors in a hotel? No privacy! No locks on bathrooms. Let's in light and sound! Shower sucks too. Not impressed!

We had a meeting in the Victoria room and it's quit nice. Our food was laid out nicely and the coffee was piping hot. The air conditioning was on though so you needed to dress warm. It's October weather so time to bring out your fall jacket.

This is the only hotel we've found in Saskatoon that we actually enjoy and feel comfortable in. The rooms are clean and comfy, staff is friendly and helpful, haven't had a bad stay here yet. My only complaint is the pool. The pool itself is ice cold, and the hot tub chemicals are enough to make your eyes water after a couple minutes. As someone who once worked for a hotel doing maintenance, pool included, I know this can be done better.

I stayed 2 nights this past weekend with my wife and young child. On the second night someone pulled a fire alarm at 2am causing us to evacuate. There was no apology and nothing even said about the situation when talking to front desk staff. We will likely explore different options for our next stay in Saskatoon.

We used the facility for a provincial convocation. All aspects of dealing with the banquet facility people was very pleasant. Our whole weekend went very well, thanks to all the staff of the hotel.

Great stay, rooms are very comfortable, curtains could block out more light at night. Love the fact that there are lights in the ceiling of the rooms, not just floor and table lamps making it so dingy like all other hotels. Only complaint is the pool. Either boiler was broke down or they need to turn it up, lots. Pool was not warm at all, was quite disappointing.
Other than that, great stay!

I stayed here within the first year that it opened. I treated myself to a little “stay-cation”. I originally booked the king executive suite which was absolutely beautiful. I had a little kitchenette, separate living room area, king size bed and beautiful ensuite.
My family came to visit and there was plenty of room for all of us to hang out after using the pool.

On the second or third night I was sitting in the bathtub and water began leaking from the room above me. This was no fault of the hotel, there was an issue with the guest in that room leaving water running and falling asleep ‍️

I needed to be put into a different room but they didn’t have another king suite, so I was downgraded for the rest of my stay. No problem. The hotel was very apologetic, moved all my bags to the new room for me, and gave me a discount for the inconvenience.

The new room, though not the king executive suite was still beautiful! After my week stay, I felt refreshed and ready to take on the world.

The location of this hotel is perfect if you’re going to an event on the prairie-land park grounds. It is very close.

It has a couple restaurants to choose from but unfortunately (at this time) didn’t offer complimentary breakfast. (This may have changed now******)

Lovely hotel. Very clean, everything is new. Not enough disabled parking spots, only two in the whole hotel parking lot.
Room is not cleaned if you are staying long. You have to ask the day before for Room service! Pool area is nice, hottub is a great temperature, swimming pool is too cold! There is no breakfast provided. There are two restaurants in the hotel, no discount in either. The disabled room walk in shower doesn't have enough slope on the floor, the water soaks the whole floor making it dangerous to walk.
Rooms are very private and quiet. Bed is comfortable. Heating and ventilation are nice.

Will not be staying here again! Stayed for two nights and had the worst experience ever at a hotel! The first was filled with hockey teams which led to running and screaming around the hallways on a number of floors until 1am. After complaining many times the staff stated there was nothing they could do as parents were leaving their children unattended. As we were talking to the front desk a group of parents came in (drinks in hand) and said I hope my kids are being quiet. This isn’t acceptable there are other people in the hotel not just your hockey team and it should never be okay to leave your children in a hotel alone. We did get that night reimbursed as we didn’t get to sleep until 2: 30am (My husband had to be up at 4am for work) The next night was going well until I took my toddler and infant to the pool, once we got back to the room they were covered in red splotches all over their body and hot to touch (mild chemical burns) so we spent the second night in the hospital till 11pm. At checkout I talked to the general manager about this and she played it off and all she said was our chemicals are electronically deposited and that’s as far as the conversation went. Very disappointed in this hotel.
Room was nice

Hotel lobby is beautiful. Pool is well kept. When entering my room everything appeared great. Great aesthetic/ robes provided with a decent size mini fridge. Upon greater inspection I noticed stains/ suspicious liquid smudges throughout the hotel room (specifically on the headboard/couch). I understand there will be typical wear and tear but this seemed unsanitary. I mentioned and showed photos upon check out and she just shrugged and said "sorry mam". I would have hoped for a better response or to have spoken with a manager.

Wow! Stayed here for an online interview and the management was so kind, got me everything I needed and even helped me tie my tie! Very clean and nice place would

Location of the hotel is great, super neutral location to every where we needed to be. Love having the option of a breakfast and supper restaurant attached to the hotel. Layout of our room was great and our stay was amazing!

Enjoyed a relaxing time with my wife for a couple's weekend. Our stay in our room was very pleasurable & our meal at Chop Steakhouse was incredible. Modern rooms. Clean & Comfortable. Excellent customer service. Friendly & accomodating.

The reception staff was very accommodating. I recommend this hotel to all my freinds and collages who are going to Saskatoon.

First of all the room was nice.comfy bed, big bathroom, nice decor. The problems were the cleanliness and smoke detector. Bathroom floor was not cleaned as well as the coffee station had creamer and coffee stains on it from last guests so it wasn't washed. The smoke detector started chirping very loudly every 30 seconds sometime in the night which woke me up and kept me up. At least the wifes sleeping pills let her sleep through it. Only maintenance can put 9 volt batteries in and they arent at hotel till morning. 2-$10 breakfast vouchers for compensation which covered part of one of our meals. Whats weird is i'm writing this in the room and now that i turned the heat up a couple of degrees the beeping has stopped. Maybe i can get a couple hours sleep now.

They did last minute accommodations for our stay, they greet you when entering the hotel, very friendly staff, and because it was Christmas day that we stayed they had finger food, pop, homemade cookies, oranges, chocolate's, and other candies all free at the front desk ️
The rooms are clean and they also allow your fur bbys to stay (for a small fee)

Nice hotel very clean, the fitness room would be so much better if had a water cooler. A water fountain is not suitable for the price of the hotel

Absolutely love this hotel. It's modern, clean and the customer service is great. It hastwo restaurants on site, The Chop and Dennys. I have stayed here several times. This is my go to hotel.

Great room! Spacious and modern. Room was comfortable and easy to manage temperature. Liked the wireless charger on the alarm clock. Good location and parking was easy. Great steakhouse as well as a Denny’s attached to the hotel.

Room was great. However the room constantly lost heat (only -14) and the heaters would turn on constantly. Seems a bit surprising for a new building.

Another great stay at the Sandman South. Love that 2 great restaurants are attached for a very convient breakfast or wonderful dinner after a long day out. I was worried that we were very near the elevator BUT the hotel was very quiet and guest respectful and this was not an issue.

We had time for a one-night mini-getaway and chose your hotel since we had stayed there before and were really looking forward to relaxing in the pool/hot tub, found out when we got there unfortunately they were down for maintenance. I think there should be some sort of system where you can let guests know that is the case. I would have much preferred to then stay somewhere else and try Sandman again next time we are in town, but now that is much less likely.

Nice hotel, but if you have a vehicle that needs to be plugged in when it's -40 this is not the hotel for you. No outside plugs to plug in your vehicle. Also no continental breakfast. Dennys is expensive and they only give you 1- ten dollar gift card for your entire stay at hotel.

Will not recommend Sandman Hotel to colleagues, family, or friends, as they were more upset than I was for being discriminated against.

The first room I was assigned, was not cleaned! I went back down to the front desk, they reassigned another room.

There was sticky stuff on the tops of the dresser, the night table wasn't wiped off could see stuff that had been spilled on there. House keeping needs to take more time when cleaning rooms. Sugar pkgs were open and put back in with the rest.

Excellent stay and was conveniently located close to everything and had a super comfortable bed and very clean and would recommend for sure to anyone

Room very clean, but did not get room cleaned or bed made for the two night stay. Had to ask for clean towels and refresh the supplied coffee in the room.

This hotel is extremely overpriced. The room we stayed in was hardly clean, the pool and hot tub area was grimy, and the fans in the rooms were super loud. When I asked the front desk of this they were quick to deny any complaints. The "executive suite" was less than impressive, and included two furniture pieces aside from the bed. Definitely will not be booking again.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating. We got an early check in time and were a few minutes late checking out - no problem! Will definitely stay here again!
