Shaw Centre

I took a taxi in the absence of our vehicle to visit the center for the very first time with my 2 little kids, 4 and 1 yr old to go to the indoor playground as advertised on the website. After buying the tickets I was directed to a small room which was actually child minding room without any toys. There was a baby stroller, baby rocking chair and a baby bouncer, Racing car track without any cars and all the cupboards were locked. Absolutely shocked I went back to the reception I requested for the cupboards to be opened thinking they missed out or something because there was nothing at all. The lady giving out tickets very rudely responded This is what you get here. I repeatedly asked what would kids do there without any toys and why are we being charged but no proper response or action.
Indoor playground is false advertising and the staff is all the more horrible in dealing with someone visiting with kids.

Front staff is very kind. Place was clean but very busy. The lifeguards were really good at making the place safe and following rules so everyone had a good time.

Compared to other pools in town, the air temp is very cold and the smaller hot tub is barely warmer than the pool. This causes more people to overcrowd the hot tub and the life guards are constantly threatening to close it down or are actually closing it. This seems to be a more recent issue. The debit machine is down more often than not. Have had items stolen and there doesn’t seem to be any cameras in public places. We unfortunately will not be going here for weekly swims with the family anymore which is a shame because this place has a lot of potential

Locker was broken in too and had all my belongings stolen, i was also told there has been Multiple thefts within the last month. The staff will do nothing and did not seem to care. Would not recomend this Gym or facility

All good except for the fact that it is far from everywhere in the city. Free parking lot and great court to play volleyball.

Can't even get through on the phone with them, it's been like this for years. Why is it so hard to answer to answer. Isn't there usually a bunch of staff right by the phone

Facilty as a whole would be a lot nicer if the women at the front desk weren’t absolutely miserable. Maybe it’s just me but there’s 2 in particular that seem like they absolutely hate being there. Understandably they deal with a lot of people some probably not so nice themselves (dealing with the general public can suck), but as a regular member for the last year my husband and I are considering finding a new gym, we’re not easily offended by any means but sick of the attitude on arrival.

We arrived at the shaw center at 2pm. The road up to the facility is quite nice and the turn off is well marked with signs pointing to the Shaw Center. Once you enter the building, you're greeted with open design with a lot of windows for natural light. There are washrooms available at the check in desk as passed the doors to the pool/gym area. Men's and women's changerooms available as well as a family option. Very clean facility. Pool area is great. The main pool is quite warm and the kids had fun in the lazy river. The pool with the diving boards were open and we had so much fun in there. The hot tub just before the doors to the diving boards was much hotter than the other hot tub. Gym looks like all brand new equipment. All around a good time!

We went there for public swimming from 7 to 9 pm. It was a line to register but we noticed it's not moving. There wasn't any staff outside of that room to tell us in line what is the problem and the two ladies inside look like they are doing something but we don't know what is it. We just heard from people in the line infront of us they don't have enough life gaurd so they can't accept people. And they may get lifeguard at 7: 30 pm. It was really unprofessional and poor management. No body cares about us in line. Or at list they should let us know or write in their website that they have problem.

Noce place to the family and little kids for the day they have different times for people public, parents and tot. Weekend is generally busy.

Plz city of Sask invest my money in putting a Sauna. Would be cherry on top Sauna.

Great place for a swim friendly staff and great for the boys 20 bucks for a locker and all day swim kids really enjoyed it!

Nice facility but an insane amount of old pervs. Cant even workout without being stared at constantly and made uncomfortable. You guys gotta have workers up there and walking around so the creeps stay further away from younger people like me.

This is the best place in the city to Lane Swim. They open a lot of lanes, so you rarely have to share. Sharing a lane is like doubling a stranger on a stationary bike. The team at Shaw schedules lots of lane times. Fees are reasonable. One time I swam before work but forgot my dress shoes so I had to work the day in dress socks and flip flops.

Great tourist destination, I was from out of town. Great place to swim lanes, try the diving board and relax in the hot tub. Adults go flying down the water slide, kids go slow. Would totally recommend to anyone, hope to be back.

First time going to the swimming pool and great first impression. Lots of different pool types to swim in and a fast waterslide. Service was friendly as well. The only thing that is preventing me from giving the pool a 5-star rating was the fact there was a fair bit of toilet paper floating around in the deep end of the pool when I went. Nasty. There was also some crowding issues with the pool with the fast current, too many kids hanging onto the fast current part which led to a few collisions.

Overall, pretty great pool. Will be going again

Highly inconsistent staff seems to wage a constant war with students from the attached schools. The current approach seems to be to deny them access or limit their ability to use the atrium areas rather than welcome and integrate them. The result is making the areas equally inaccessible and unwelcoming to the public (closed and locked bathrooms, roped off areas, unwelcome signage, limited seating).

I always brought my children here and we had a fun family day here aways this is a wonderful place for family days

I did not like the water slide, joints are bad and hurt your back if you lay down, too slow if you sit up

One of my favorite leisure centers in the city. Great place for family and toddler swim times. Love all the different areas.

Love love love, the staff the pool everything.highly recommend leisure cards if your around all the time. Swimming, workouts, track, skating in the winter!

The attendant at registration desk very helpfully with covid19 lots of hand sanitizer, great swimming pool, something Saskatoon should be proud of.

This pool and leisure center is great, surrounded by parks for children to play. It's really got it all.

Im part of the goldfins swim club so i swim there everyday.the pools are nice but the girls washroom thing need to be cleaned more often cause the floor were u shower are gross and the lady at the front desk can be rude sometimes

Nice place cleaning staffs amazing but the lady at desk taking payments was a real rude lady was to the point would went to the other pool but kids really wanted here note to the lady Be Nice

I love to go swimming here.i used to go with friends and i had gym class here when i went to highschool at tommy douglas.now i take my 7 month old swimming here and she loves it.hot tub is nice and always working.it always is nice and warm inside.very popular place as most swim times are very busy.they also have infant swimming lessons which i will be looking into soon!

they also have a low income lesiure pass and you are able to take one registered program per year and free swimming and weight room and running track.:)

I dont understand why tax payer dont get a discount and the elderly.being foreigns get free pass and big discounts

Definitely will be back when we pass through Saskatoon again. Stopped for a swim to let the kids burn off energy when we were traveling

I come here 3 times a week with my kid for swimming. Never had a single problem. Enough parking spots for you, helpful staffs, clean facilities, and fun water slidrs for kids!

There are also two types of hot tubs; one for adult and one for family. Adult hot tub is hotter than the family one, and in the family hot tub, even 18 months old can comfortably play.

Booked the Multi Purpose Room for a large baby shower, large, clean and bright with large windows and lots of room to set up multiple tables

Lots of activities at shaw center. There's no doubt it is one of the best leisure centers in Saskatoon. And they also have a variety of programs during summer and fall. I.e Sumba classes, swimming lessons

Best place to do swimming lessons and friendly staff, very good on Security of customers and staff on site.

Great weight room and pool for lane swimming. On the downside the hot tub always seems to be closed. Make sure to lock up your belongings here.

Nice facility, big hot tub. Only issue is crusty/rude front desk ladies. Need some young upbeat people so its not a kill joy on the way in.

Only thing this pool is missing is a sauna but it has a fun slide, a huge hot tub and some good high dives.

Love the facilities here. Taking babies swimming here is such a breeze, so much room and such a safe calm environment.

What a great facility! Not really liking how cold the water is in the big pool (I was there for Synchronized Swimming Provincials), but I understand the need for a colder pool. It could use more showers during competitions as there were too many people.

Had to drop the rating a bit as the staff seem to have lost the ability to count people in the hot tubs and are allowing them to get overcrowded. The occupancy number is based on the chemicals being able to keep the water clean and you could visually see the water was getting pretty disgusting had to tell my kids not to go in them.

Parking isn't great, the main pool was too cold to be comfortable in. I was also astounded at the cost for swimming. My 76 year old father and I went to public swim and it cost $19.60for the two of us. No discount for seniors. That is a ludicrous price to just swim. I will not be going back. The lady at the main desk was also quite crusty and annoyed that we didn't know our license plate number.

This place has everything you need for your family recreational, it has something for all ages and any level of sportsmanship.

Been here many times but it's definitely gone downhill since it opened. Used to be way more organized and we'll staffed but now the staff is either to lax or to strict. With no in between. Really weird vibe.
