Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel

For a well known hotel chain, I'm extremely disappointed with their lack of knowledge, attention to detail and care with their ingredients. After stating that I am vegan, I sent back a meal after confirming that it did in fact contain egg and cheese to be followed up with sending back a cheesecake dessert only for them to bring me another dessert with meringue.
Extremely disappointed!

Nice hotel. The Urbanista coffee in the room is God awful. Had to take the elevator down to the restaurant to buy a decent cup of coffee @$3.50 cup.

We stay here a few times per year and always bring our dog. Even though I always let them know ahead of time this time it was a hassle to get a dog dish for water. We would have brought our own except they have always supplied in the past.

Fantastic hotel with great amenities; Carvers SteakHouse, Starbucks cafe, Scarlett Restaurant, gym, large water area with 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, a water slide and a poolside bar. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Saskatoon. The rooms are a bit out dated but it’s what is expected with a Sheraton. I found the rooms and hotel very well maintained and clean.

Was there July 9,2023 to July 10. Kids loved the waterside. The girl working in there that night was super friendly. Rooms cards were having issues that day and we couldn't get into the pool area unless someone was coming out. They apologized, got new cards that still wouldn't work. It wasn't just us. Eventually, someone put a piece of tape over the striker. Hope the bird flying around in the pool area was freed safely outside, he was having a blast!
Rooms are very nice. Beds were comfy and clean. Loved the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The body lotion is fantastic. My hands still feel soft 10 hours later.
I definitely could have done without the noisey construction at 7am and the garbage pick ups, but no one can control that.
I'll be back for sure!

Friendly staff, comfy beds, clean rooms, good wifi, great views of the river (and 2 min.from the trail) and nice hot tubs & pool (although I wish it was a bit bigger for laps). My friend and I really enjoyed our stay.

Always a great place to stay, really never stay anywhere but here when we are in saskatoon. Great waterslide and pool for the kids and customer service is always above and beyond!

The bed was not properly made and I found hair and makeup on the sheet. I had taken pictures but I can’t seem to find a way to attach them to this review. Some ladies were eventually sent up to change them at least. The room was very cold, despite cranking the heat all the way.
You can only use the pool in 1 hr increments and you have to book your time in advance. Front desk told me that I could extend the time once I got there, but the pool attendants said we could not.
Finally, it’s a long story but to summarize, I was speaking via email to someone at the front desk and he looped in the general manager who then called and spoke to me quite nicely but later went on to hit “reply all” when sending an email to the other person at the front desk. So he ended up sending a pretty condescending email about me to the other guy, but it came to my inbox as well. Definitely was not the way I wanted to start my staycation. Had it not been that I prepaid for the trip and it was nonrefundable I would’ve definitely cancelled. The view was quite nice at least, so there’s that.

The Sheraton Cavalier never disappoints. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds. The staff is all attentive and courteous. If you're looking for a great pool area, this is one of the best in the city, especially for smaller children as there is a separate pool around 2 ft deep. This is a hotel of choice for us and has been for a long time.

The rooms and the entire building were very clean. Dedicated pool swimming times, meant we never felt crowded. Food at the Scarlet restaurant was very good, however, the breakfast choices were limited (not in stock).

Great hotel with 3 restaurants. Check in was super quick and friendly. Has two pools, waterslides and 2 hot tubs. Have to make a reservation for the pool due to COVID right now, but its quick and easy. Very clean and accommodating hotel. Quick walk to everything, very close to hospital. Outdoor Skating directly across the street, and lots of quick service food around.

Ate at the restaurant 3 times a day for 3 days and never had a bad meal. Service was top notch and the pool was awesome. They have a bar at the pool so you can enjoy while your kids slide:)

Probably won't stay here again. The rooms are quite small with older, small TVs. There was no tub, just a standing shower. The room was decently clean, although we found a large black hair just under the top sheet. The service was quite poor. We asked for a microwave and were told no problem. An hour later we called to check with the front desk as it hadn't shown up and we were told "no, I don't think we do that". Overall a very pricy yet extremely mediocre experience. You can get the same thing for much cheaper elsewhere.

Exceptional guest service and friendly staff. We were originally at another hotel and left at 2: 30 AM for my wife's 40th birthday. The Sherton saved us from a Bettle infested rooms (on the bed, in bathroom, and all over floor) and on top of that a murder that morning. The Sheraton took us and 3 other rooms for my family. They upgrade the rooms free of charge. They also gave us a room for a small group (following covid rules) to play some card games and hang out. Also with out a charge. All of us and the kids had a blast in the swimming area. We can't wait to come back for another staycation.

We recently stayed at this hotel for our grandson's wedding. The wedding supper for our grandson and his bride was amazing and our server, Ken, was great. Ken went out of his way to make sure everyone had what they wanted. The Sheraton should be proud to have an employee of this caliber. Thanks again, Ken, you were the greatest.

We had an important business meeting in the Sheraton's Hampton Room, and everything from the communication, to the execution, to the hospitality was excellent. We were served dinner from Carver's restaurant. The food was delicious, and our server was professional, friendly, and on top of everything (my wine glass never ran dry). Thank you for the excellent experience:)

I enjoyed a wonderful stay for three nights at the Sheraton Saskatoon. Unexpected awesome surprise was they added $50/night free room service. Navneet at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with. Maybe the best hotel option in town.

Too expensive for the size of room you get along with a half decent tv and restaurant is slow and disorganized. So glad the company is paying. Wish Saskatoon had more hotels.
I will try another hotel tomorrow

The waterpark was the highlight of our family stay. While the rooms were a little dated and compact, the quality of the beds made falling asleep very easy. Great location near the river.

The Hotel and Downtown atmosphere was very chic, the rich downtown history coupled with the new hip vibe of surrounding businesses made my stay here very warm and welcoming, safe crowd, beautiful riverside hotel for a nice stay, rooms were clean, view was nice, Starbucks inside hotel lobby, great lounge and restaurant to unwind and enjoy a classy atmosphere and elegant dining and lounging.underground parking was a definite plus, hotel staff were pleasant and courteous, Safe practices for covid and social distancing.indoor pool, hot tub, waterslides for the family, tv was HD, wifi was excellent

I had an amazing expierence. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Our room was upgraded and we got free parking. We got a room with lounge access and enjoyed the appies and breakfast. The pool and the slide was big enough. We had a lot of fun. We had a great stay-vacation. Staff was very nice too! I will keep this hotel in mind for my next stay- vacation!

I was treated to lunch by my son and the lunch menu was fabulous. Order the build your own burger for a real treat at a real value. I would recommend this to all my friends.

Started off by a mess at the front door parking to unload luggage and check in. TV had no channels " too weak signal ". Tried to call front desk but phone didn't work. Had to use our cell phone to call the hotel and after long waiting to get through only to have them send someone who didn't show up. Called again, this time someone came and fixed the TV. Our room package came with a pass to a floor that had breakfast included. There was no time on it and at 10 am, we got there and were denied saying it closes at 10 am although it was on the doors on that floor it wasn't told to us till then. Called the front, by cell phone, only to hear yea, sorry that's too bad. We were then given a free breakfast in the regular restaurant below, which didn't matter to us at this point. Spend lots of time traveling and this place hits the bottom by miles!

Sitting outside a suite waiting for maintenance because the door won't open. Just checked out the club and I am not impressed at all. Not the best way to start my weekend here. Regretting not staying at a Delta hotel in the area.

Update: After an hour I go back to the room to check and see if the staff were successful in breaking into the room with wire clothes hangers taped together. I mentioned the adjoining room door and he did try to get through there albeit unsuccessful. I inspected that door frame and it has been drilled through before suggesting that this has happened before (multiple holes so a few times I suspect). Maintenance did manage to get the door open. Hotel removed my lounge tab charged to my room while waiting.

Club breakfast had good bacon. The view shows the hotel I should have stayed at.

Update 2: Checked out and moved across the street in the morning as my Uncle needed to sleep in his winter jacket as the other room I booked was so cold. Front Desk manager did make it right with me, however, I am not looking at returning.

We were in town for a hockey tournament and chose the Sheraton Cavalier because they have the best waterslides in Saskatoon. For a team of young kids this is the best part of the stay and the actual tournament. It helps that their deck area beside the pool is great for parents to socialize and supervise their kids. We always find the rooms although a bit small are always in great shape and clean. The food in the restaurant is always great!

Our family stayed here last night. Our rooms were very clean. Service was very fast and efficient. Found all the staff to be friendly. Jenny at the front desk was top notch. Would definitely stay there again

It's very cold place, friend even slept with jacket and boots. Windows need to be changed. Not worth the price they charge. Even charge for parking, $2.50 per hour/ $15 per day. If not they tow the vehicle at owner expense. Please think twice in winter to stay there.

Visited 6Twelve. One of the classier lounges in town. If you're looking for quieter place to enjoy a night along with some amazing drinks (one of the best old fashions in town) it's perfect.
