It takes an hour for them to answer the phone and they will tell you it will be ready for pick up in 20 minutes and when you get there you wait another 30. On one occasion they didn’t mix my son’s antibiotic and gave it to me. Another occasion they told me I could pick up my medication and when I got there they didn’t have it in stock. Told me to come back tomorrow. Another time they filled the prescription and only had 3 pills in the bottle and put a note inside that they owed me medication but failed to tell me this when I picked it up and I had to go back to get them to give me the proper amount. I could go on…. We’re currently looking for a new pharmacy because this one’s just so unorganized. Honestly the stuff they have to deal with because of the location is why they are so unorganized though, they are typically super helpful though but in reality the place is not the best or safest

Unresponsive, I am very disappointed in their customer service and system. I bought an e-bike on July 19,2023 from this store at 22nd street west, I noticed a fault on the bike two weeks later in the following month. I went to the store to complain, unfortunately, lost the receipt. It became a rocket science for the store to retrieve the receipt from their system, then I provided a statement of account to show the date of purchase. This is October 2023, no response yet from them. I have sent several follow up messages, no response, no acknowledgement. It appears my $621 is gone to the drain, not recommended

Tried calling three times within five minutes as the phone kept ringing, ringing, and ringing as I’ve experienced this once before needed to reach out to the pharmacist. Not even a directory to choose from.

My husband called to talk to a pharmasist about his prescription.was put on hold for 28 minutes and still no one talked to him. I then tried to call customer service to see why pharmacy didnt respond and waited 8 minutes for someone to answer customer service.it is terrible trying to call this store.any staff out front are busy helping the self checkout counter, by scanning their purchases and bagging them for the customer, while cash paying customers are waiting at an abandoned til. I am moving all of our prescriptions to another pharmacy that looks after their customers. I have shopped Shoppers for the last 45 years, but because of lack of service, will not shop here again.

We came to this place for the passport picture the guy who unfortunately turn into assistant manager he said no first although I called them, they said yes on the phone but the assistant manager MR Golam said no we don’t take on holidays which seems to me unprofessional. He doesn’t know how to take pictures and do stamping on the back properly although their cashier know this work properly I have 6 year old son who need the passport picture he did harassment on him and scared him by saying annoyingly and in angrily aloud voice that don’t move sit straight don’t touch chair etc my Son was crying in the car and scared. Assistant manager doesn’t know how to treat customers and how to speak properly for my opinion he should do the mopping the floor if not then he needs to get more professional education about how to treat the customer.

I had a really good experience at this location! Everyone was super friendly when I walked in. There was a bit of a line but everyone was in a good mood. Specifically Shanna was super helpful! I came in right before close and she was patient and accommodating.

I would recommend this location to my friends and family. Keep up the good work!

I transferred my medications out of Shoppers to a better pharmacy.i don’t like how they’ve ripped me off lots of times.so i moved to a different pharmacy and they treat me more better and they know how to treat customers

Almost never able to get through to a person. Have been "disconnected" from the pharmacy 3 times today alone. Tried calling customer service and same thing.on hold then person picks up and I'm mysteriously disconnected. Obviously they are not able to handle the amount of business they are getting, or their workers have quit caring. They get one star for finally moving the line out of cleaning products aisle so i no longer get a headache every visit. I have had far more negative than positive experiences here but today is the last day I will be doing business with them.if they ever answer the phone.

Very rude customer service, I go there to pick up my medicine, not to be scolded at by a customer service rep. Obvously nothing is being said or done about it either because I read all these reviews from 10 or more months ago and it's always the same thing. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and be suggesting to others to do the same. From the lack of action taken by shoppers goes to show that the rude customer service reps attitude is representative of how shoppers conducts business.

Today I finally made a decision to no longer get my prescriptions filled (after 31 years) at Shoppers on 22nd street in Saskatoon. Since Loblaws took ownership of Shoppers, I find the pharmacy team incredibly overworked, understaffed and overwhelmed. I do not blame my incredible disappointment and fear of medical mistake on the pharmacy team, this is 100% a problem with corporate not caring about the service and quality of care delivered to patients and improperly staffing their pharmacies. WCB was trying to reach them for two days via phone to set up direct billing but it is impossible to get a team member to answer the phone. My prescriptions out of pocket cost on average about $350 per month, which is $4,200 per year… & $42,000.00 in a ten year span. Yet I am constantly unable to speak with a team member unless I physically go into the pharmacy, in which there is always at least 5-10 people in line waiting before me, making me wait sometime 20 minutes to receive an answer to a simple question that could have been answered over the phone. It’s horrible. Do not, I repeat DO NOT get your scripts filled here, not because anything is wrong with the team, but because the company is so horrible your quality of care will be minimal because they only care about saving money and extremely overworking their pharmacy teams. Changing to Save On Foods Pharmacy.

Price error, Scanner Price Accuracy Code. I brought the error to the attention of a till operator after payment. He stated that he was aware of the Scanner Price Accuracy Code. But that Shoppers did not participate. Which is false.

Very poor staff training.

Absolutely horrendous to try and get ahold of anyone. Put on hold every time it tries to ring through. Never actually got through by the way. Not sure how they have any business at all except how complicated it would be to transfer to another pharmacy and people stay to avoid the hassle.

I am a student, I usually buy medicine from "the medicine shoppe". Last time I asked my doctor to send my prescription to this location as it is comparatively near my home. Well, that was a big mistake, when I went to this place to order the medicine they said it is already ready and I have to pay $59.70 (I mean seriously, who ordered that?). I asked to apply for my insurance and they asked for my health insurance card (maybe they thought I don't have it with me!) after providing the card they checked something in the system and then requested me to apply for insurance for drug coverage later! I didn't get suspicious and said OK I will do it. Later I found the medicine they provide is not covered by the insurance and they just wanted to sell that to me (and the medicine expiry date is within the next 3-4months!). So, on the next appointment with my doctor, I told her what happened and later I went to "the medicine shoppe" again. They found particular that medicine which I was given by "Shoppers Drug Mart" doesn't cover but a different one is almost fully covered (I had to pay $. 20 only). I strongly don't recommend anybody going in there as they are not co-operative at all, and will waste your money for no reason. I don't know is it something they are instructed to do by the owner or not! If not then those pharmacy employees are careless about your health benefit.

I’ve been going to the Westgate Shoppers drug Mart for almost 20 years now; I’ve moved several times since but I always go out of my way to continue getting my prescriptions from there! Because they’ve always given me great service. They're very considerate, compassionate and do their jobs well! Yes, they’re very busy - most of the time - but do their best to keep up. I think it also reflects on the customer’s desire to shop there, and for good reason obviously. I appreciate the fact that they will offer to contact my doctor if a prescription has run out, there’s been a couple times they’ve given me an emergency refill because the doctor is on vacation or I simply forgot - although this is only because they KNOW I’ve been persistent in using this particular medication for over a decade now (this is another great reason to be a loyal customer.you’ll get the VIP experience!) There have been times I leave feeling a bit guilty because I wasn’t exactly being patient while I waited in line. I have to remind myself that they’re juggling the customers in person AND over the phone at the same time, they can only go as fast as they can. They’re only human! But again they ARE a busy pharmacy for a reason. People wouldn’t go there and wait in their long lines if it wasn’t worth it. Plus there’s a lot of employees (esp.pharmacists) that have been there for as long as I have, so the familiar and friendly faces are always really nice to see too.and they really are friendly! I imagine they put up with a lot, so your patience is so incredibly important to them. This pharmacy is *my* pharmacy, and I’m proud to say it. So if you’re looking for a professional, personable and VERY reliable pharmacy where you feel like more than just a number - look no more! Shoppers Westgate Pharmacy deserves this 5 star review, and I thank them personally for the many great years of service they’ve given me.

I switched over from Shoppers 8th street pharmacy and I wish I didn't, can never get through to anyone on the phone. Regularly get hung up on and just over all poor service, Maybe 8th street is just that good or these guys are just that bad. I switched out of "convenience" not sure how convenient it's tuning out to be. Called 10 times now within the last 30 mins and no answer.zero stars would be my rating if possible.

I stop at this place quite a bit for moneygram, everyone is exceptional except for the young gentleman, sometimes he is very rude.

I get a lot of things here and the pharmacy team is amazing. Always able to answer all of my questions. Liked it when it was open 24hrs but this works too

24 hour Shoppers Drug Mart Westgate is an awesome one-stop shop for pharmacy, grocery, cleaning, hygiene, personal care, beauty and seasonal items. Pharmacy is pretty darn good even during peak hours through covid while doing covid testing and while giving flu shots, which is impressive given how overwhelmed they are. There's an excellent older male pharmacist who goes out of his way to assist you and to ensure your prescription issues are solved immediately. There's often sales and bonus optimum point opportunities - even moreso when you load offers on to your optimum account via email or the app each Thursday! The only thing I have a slight issue with is the lack of stock on floor during sales and on weekends, often leading to forcing ppl to buy the super over priced items, especially in the grocery department. Otherwise, I'm a dedicated longtime customer.

Purchased a 4 pack of paper towel that was under the sign for $5.99. I went out to my vehicle with my purchases only to realize that I was charged $10.99 after looking at my receipt. I went back into the store to tell them that they made a mistake and they informed me that it was not on sale and they would not take it back. How disappointing to be charged for the wrong product and not even helped with a return, even though I just walked out of the store.

My doctor sent a prescription to be filled an hour prior to arrival. When I came for pick up they said an additional 10-15 minutes so I went and did my business for the day and would come back in the evening for pickup. When I returned they said yet again I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes because it was not ready. I get it, it gets busy however it wasn't ready the second time.
Customer service is not the greatest either.

It was open late when I needed it most which is great, but i was told it would be a two hour wait to get my prescriptions. I went to pick them up after an hour and a half and they hadn't even begun to get them ready.aside the l o n g wait, it wasn't bad.

I've been going to this Shoppers Drug Mart for a while and used to get my prescriptions there as well, I'm as brown as peanut butter have never had a problem with security guards or the clerks, have noticed some sketchy people outside and inside but it's in the worst part of the city so you know what do you expect, the Post Office has fast service I'm always able to get my packages from there when I need to with no trouble.

Another shoppers pharmacy that is horribly run. Every month they shorted my prescription or forgot to order it.
