Shoppers Drug Mart

I started using this pharmacy years ago, because it is nearby and had longer hours. At the beginning staff were friendly and efficient both in person and by telephone. While store service remains good, hours have been cut drastically and pharmacy service has deteriorated significantly, sometimes bordering on rude. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it is not mine to fix, so went elsewhere. Much better experience with, London Drugs so far.

If you go through NIHB do not use this shoppers for prescriptions. They would rather pass you on to a different pharmacy than to try and help. They are not properly informed on status health benefits and do not try to be. Terrible experience, the technician I dealt with was very unhelpful and snotty. STAY AWAY.

I went to another shoppers and they were so helpful. They took the time to do the work, looked into the item I was prescribed, and I was able to take the prescribed item home.

I was told previously about how terrible this shoppers was but it was close to my home. I thought I'd give it a try. BIG MISTAKE.

The pharmacists here are very helpful and friendly. They are generally prompt about filling prescriptions, though if you use the online system it usually takes a few days. They have made a lot of improvements over the past year. The store has a good selection of grocery items, which is convenient in an area with limited grocery options.

Every other shoppers in Saskatoon has a self checkout. If the owner of this location would implement one then perhaps I wouldn't always have to wait in line for 5 mins or longer when there's only 2-3 customers ahead of me. I realize 5 minutes isn't long but when you're carrying items that weigh a decent amount, 5 mins feels a lot longer. I can scan and pay for my purchase faster than most of the cashiers there, not to mention the time they waste by making conversation with the customers ahead of me.

Switched pharmacies after dealing with this place on an ongoing basis. The shoppers app for refilling prescriptions is worse than going in person. It took a few days to fill my prescription, and I ran out in the meantime without any communication. Stay away

Closed early and did not update the hours online. Very disappointed in this location. Arrived at 8: 06pm on Dec. 29,2022 and they were supposed to be open until 9pm. I watched 15 people drive up in the 3 minutes it took me to write this review with the same reaction. Obviously needs to be open for the hours that it says they’re open for.

I’ve been trying to call for the last 20 minutes to no avail. I understand things get busy but this seems to happen every day. Maybe hire more staff so your other staff isn’t so caught up they can’t even answer a phone call. Very frustrating to say the least. I see you keep replying to other reviews saying you’re going to fix the problem but as of today it hasn’t been fixed.

Update: I waited 25 mins on hold for them to tell me they can’t help me with my prescription for my sick child and to call another pharmacy. Ridiculous! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Very horrible service, lazy pharmacists, no one ever answers the phone or works. I will be changing pharmacies and I encourage others to do so as well.
