Ever since Anan took over as the new owner of this Shoppers Pharmacy, I've been consistently impressed. The changes she's brought in have made a world of difference. Anan's staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help with any questions or concerns. What's truly remarkable is the speed and accuracy of their prescription services. Anan and her team genuinely care about their customers' well-being, and it shows in their service.

Highly recommended! Thanks to Anan and the team for their outstanding work!

Never have my prescription ready, even if they've been given tons of extra lead time and I show up a day late they STILL manage not to have it ready. Recently they even told my my script was filled and when I showed up to pick it up they told me that they were OUT of my script. Had to wait a week for it to get filled, and they told me they couldn't transfer it because it was "debt filled". Truly awful.

Worst pharmacy in the city. Unfortunately, it is the only one near me so I am stuck dealing with them on the regular due to some medical issues I have. They simply will not answer the phone over there. I have been using them for years now and it’s a real issue for me. I don’t understand it either, because they always have so many people working behind the counter, yet they can’t even be bothered to pick up the phone to fill a prescription. Which you absolutely want to do ahead of time, because if you go in to fill it, guaranteed they will tell you minimum a hour and a half wait. I have wasted so much time waiting for prescriptions or waiting literally over a hour sometimes on the phone before giving up. When I go in there I can hear the phone ringing and they just let it ring. They don’t care. I have asked them politely why they don’t answer the phone and they simply state they are too busy. But yet, I can wait at the counter for 5 minutes while a group of them sit around gossiping and ignoring the customers. I mean if you’re so busy you can’t even answer the phone, and customers have to wait hours for a prescription, you would think you would be too busy to sit around in a circle and gab. It’s a absolute joke. Really poorly run pharmacy. I wish I could go elsewhere, I really do. Worst customer services I have ever encountered at a pharmacy.

I called to see if an item for my sick baby was in stock and the new canadian workers didn’t even know what I was saying on the phone and then after I was passed along 3 times to more immigrants that didn’t want to help me or couldn’t I got a worker who could understand the product I asked for and she told me to come to the store.specifically why I called but thanks! Train your staff to not be lazy thanks

Timing of store is till 12AM but it does not remain open till 12AM. Should not be trusted in terms of Timing. People with critical requirements should not be dependent on this store.

Price tags never updated with the correct prices. Refuse to go to this location because I'm always removing items from my basket because displayed pricing is wrong on the shelf.

My friend and I went to this shoppers, and we were browsing the makeup and the perfume section, just looking for something to do, and the lady working the makeup section followed us around to the point where we felt uncomfortable, as if she was breathing down our neck, not even giving good customer service. My friend is a person of colour, and she felt extremely targeted, as we were just looking for something to do. The employee shot us dirty looks, and made us so so uncomfortable to the point where we just left because it was so embarrassing. Do better Shoppers, at least train your employees on loss prevention properly and not make it obvious LOL.

Literally worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Too many bad experiences to name. But my stories are just like the rest of the reviews and the people who are leaving good reviews are probably paid.

I've been using this pharmacy for over 15 years, and while parking is inconvenient I've always found the service and staff very good. But within the last year this place has gone down hill, the staff lack training and people skills completely. They can never find me in the computer even after spelling my last name, first name, and giving my date of birth. I'm never asked if I have any questions for the pharmacist anymore, and they never look in the bag to make sure its the right medication inside. After receiving notification that my prescription is ready when I have arrived to pick it up 2 hours later it actually isn't ready (no I don't want to hang out in the store for 30min while you do the job I was already notified that was done). Now a medication that was supposed to be filled along with 2 others yesterday was not filled, there was 1 refill remaining and the refills expired the day it was supposed to be filled. I received notification about the 2 prescriptions being ready, so I called today to find out why the 3rd one wasn't filled. The response was it expired, as I'm holding the bottle in my hand that says one refill remaining with the expiration date on it of yesterday. The response I get is that the staff I'm talking to only works Sunday and she doesn't know why, but she can email my doctor (sure email my doctor on a Sunday that should work). I will be switching pharmacies after this, it just seems to get worse and worse.

I rarely go into this pharmacy, too inconvenient to find parking. However, I went today to find a particular pain ointment because the website said they stock it. I noticed a pharmacist helping another customer, waited til she was done and as she walked towards me asked if she had the product available. She rolled her eyes, said no, then walked to the end of the aisle and someone handed her some vehicle keys that she put in her pocket. I turned around and looked for myself and found exactly what I asked her about. Needless to say, my trips to this particular pharmacy will continue to be extremely rare to nonexistent now after this experience.

There is a Canada post office inside the shop. Lots of parking spots and extended work hours.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. I'd give a big fat zero if I could.even to the "manager" commenting on these reviews. Nothing changes. They lack treating patients with integrity.
No matter the circumstance, somehow the Pharmacist & Techs are always inconvenienced when you pick up/drop off your Rx. They're rude, it's "your fault" kind of attitude, they're never wrong even when they are.
I was sold the wrong Rx, trusting the Pharmacy Tech when she quickly scanned the item already in the bag, I didn't think much of it because- well, its a Pharmacy.
I found it odd she didn't take it out as they normally do & ask if you have any questions. Next day i realized she sold me a Rx from 2 months ago! I went there to be told they cannot refund, which is fair, but I just paid for their Techs mistake that couldnt do her job properly. I told the lady I felt really duped, & this is the biggest Scam because they arent willing to correct their mess ups. She kept trying to talk over me saying "but you walked away, we can't do anything".
This Tech said she was going to reach out to the owner for a refund & I'll have to wait for my Rx to be made.
I returned to find the Tech that sold me the wrong Rx was now on shift. She quickly scanned the bag & didn't show it to me AGAIN. I told her what happened & the Tech before her said she'd speak with the owner so why would she say that & not do it?
She didn't have an answer for me, instead she asked the manager who was anything but helpful or willing to listen to me. She simply said there's no refund, turned around & walked away. Awesome treatment.
The employees at this pharmacy need replacing, or an attitude adjustment. They will cover each other and protect themselves first. No genuine regard for helping people.

It’s terrible experience this time and this is not a surprised to me any more. I drop off prescription in evening and told I will be coming to pick up on next day morning and I knew it’s not ready on time so I went 24 hr after than I was supposed to be there. Not a single thing was ready.

I'm not sure what happened to this pharmacy. My Dr faxed in 3 prescriptions on a Wednesday Thursday morning I called and asked if I could pick them up Friday morning when they opened. I was told yes that would be ok. I went and they were not ready I couldn't wait because I was on my way to work, but they should of been done. I called Friday afternoon I asked if they were ready and was told no. How is that right. Then whoever was on the phone got all rude and said I can pick them up Friday night. When I said I couldn't then they got more rude and asked when I would get t them. I said Saturday morning if they were going to be ready. Oh my goodness they got more angry and said they would be done immediately. This is not how you treat people. This will be the last visit to this store.this used to be an amazing place to go for your meds but all that has changed. So sad!

Not following covid vacinne rules. Encouraging people to leave the store after vacinne instead of sitting under supervision for 15 minutes in case of adverse reaction.
Made me wait 45 minutes for a 1 minute appointment despite showing up 10 minutes early.
Worst injection of my life, very painful and I have never bled so much from an injection before.
Worst injection.
Worst customer service.
Worst pharmacy.

Always a terrible experience with the pharmacists here. No matter what time of day it is you are somehow inconveniencing them by picking up or dropping off your prescription. The pharmacist and the pharmacy tech are both rude. Truly, find ANY other pharmacy to go to - it will be better than this one

Shopped in store on 8th street mall Saskatoon. Black Friday 2020, wanted to redeem points for a TV for my sons. Told associate we wanted the TV and a game. My teens waited by the TV for assistance as games are locked up. I went to get one more item and heard security being called. My sons were profiled as one has long hair and one has autism and they were waiting patiently by electronics out of the way of other customers. One staff member was rude to them for standing by the TV’s located at the staff door. Told them to “move out of the way” They were not close to the door at least 6 feet away. She could have said “excuse me” As there was only one TV they wanted to wait and make sure they got it. Since I had asked for assistance there should not have been a problem. Instead of getting assistance security was told to watch them. The owner Steven came up to watch them, with his cell phone out. We were PAYING customers who had asked for assistance. Were profiled and treated like criminals. Steven was rude and abusive towards me. I asked him to leave us alone so we could pay and leave. His abusive narcissistic personality continued a verbal attack on myself. We paid and left. The kicker is the TV was broken! It can not be returned. He says an opened box means it can’t be returned. This guy is psycho/abusive. Profiling teens is wrong. They touched nothing. He could have simply asked if they meeded assistance instead of calling security. Congratulations Steven you won! The TV is broke and they get nothing for Christmas while locked down due to covid. I hope Karma comes back to you. NEVER. BUY ANYTHING ELECTRONIC FROM SHOPPER’s DRUGMART. NEVER SHOP AT THE 8th STREET MALL LOCATION. Our local Shoppers unfortunately does not carry tvs or much for electronics, they are wonderful staff to deal with. Kensington and Hampton locations are awesome. I can not believe the abuse we suffered at the 8th street location.

The past 5 times I went to pickup prescriptions I call in advance and ask if they are ready. They either tell me yes, or it will be in an hour. I then wait 2-3 hours before driving over to give an even bigger time buffer. When I arrive they then tell me it's not actually ready (even if they said it was when I called), or they tell me to wait anywhere between 15 mins - 1 hour.

Clearly there is a need for more staff and/or resources to help these pharmacists out or train in efficiency.

It's covid-19, I don't want to wait in a public store for my prescriptions. I try and circumnavigate this as an immunocompromised person by calling in advance. Which is futile.

Please do something about this.

Staff are nice enough.but i really wish you guys would tell customers if we need to spend more to get 20× the points. I get the business needs to make money.but i could have saved $30 if i would have waited a day. And earned $30 in points by now. The staff dont understand how to be truely helpful.

I was told I was a shoplifting risk because of my backpack. I go there every week, for over a decade, I’ve redeemed hundreds in shoppers points. Being told I’m a shoplifter while buying milk for my kids is insulting. Milk is heavy, that’s why I carry it home in a backpack.

In the fall of 2018, I went to this pharmacy for a seasonal flu vaccination. There was a line of people, at least a 45 minute wait and only one pharmacist on duty. When she finally got to me, she was pleasant but in a hurry. Her injection in my arm appeared to be too high and by the next day, I was unable to move my arm and in extreme pain. I could not attend a meeting that I had arranged previously and was responsible to chair. I visited a Dr.who also said that the injection appeared to be given into the joint and was very disgusted at what had happened. He suggested meds for pain and that I have the shoulder assessed in 2 days if it was not improving. There was very slow improvement over the next week but my life for that week had been seriously disrupted, not even being able to dress unassisted.
I reported this experience to the pharmacy manager who was polite, asked questions, but rather than taking any responsibility for what happened, all of his words seemed to be directed towards what a great record his pharmacists had for giving injections, etc.and how he hoped I got better. No apology, no asking what he could do to help. He called back a few days later to ask how I was doing but really left the impression that he was more interested in not being sued or such, rather than an interest in customer satisfaction or what could he do to help this clearly unhappy and suffering customer. A few weeks later my husband spoke with this manager to alert him to the negative impact that his staff had on me but again, glad to hear the pain and movement had improved but no interest in doing anything to improve his relationship with his customer, only defensive. Sad that the store owner/manager would have such a poor attitude toward customer service.

On Tuesday November 12 during day time (12: 21pm) we were shopping at shoppers drug mart (Centre Mall) for some lipstick. The girl was so rude, didn’t say hello. She took forever to help us out with finding th
e right product. And when we came to pay, she didn’t even give us a bag/ or ask how we would like to pay.
It was very bad experience. Really disappointed about it, because other times everything was great.
Next time if we will be treated like this, we won’t shop here.

ZERO STARS! I am highly disappointed with the (lack of) service I received at the Centre SDM Pharmacy today. I am diabetic and have been getting my Sharps containers at this location for years, due to them having a larger sized container that I prefer.

I have never had an issue exchanging my containers until today when I was told by the pharmacy assistant that I would be charged TO EXCHANGE A CONTAINER. I stress that the container I was exchanging originated at this location, but the assistant obviously didn't get that because she asked me to take the container back to "where I got it" as I walked away in disgust.

I was also grilled by this assistant over whether I get my insulin filled at Shopper's, presumably as a prerequisite to getting a Sharps container. No, I do not get my insulin filled at Shopper's due to previously having moved my prescriptions from CO-OP to Centre Shoppers' for their extended hours only to be denied insulin at this location and told I would have to make an appointment with my doctor to get any refills (the wait list with my doctor is usually about 3 months). I was told that they would not request a refill on my behalf, which is something CO-OP AUTOMATICALLY does. News flash, my condition will not change or get better, and I can't wait 3 months for insulin. But considering a sharps container is a public health concern, it should not matter where I shop for insulin, and I stress again, the container I was returning WAS Shoppers' to begin with.

I can't overstate how irritating this was, and it definitely puts an end to ANY future shopping I would do at this Shopper's location. I will be sure to alert people to your service practices. In order to save pennies you denied me a plastic box for my insulin needles; horrible service model. 9

I was being clearly followed around in the cosmetics area within moments of walking into the store. I understand preventing shoplifting but be at least subtle about it. I was going to complain to management but I was in a rush.

1 star for wasting my time. Both employee's failed to notify me my prescription was ready while I was sitting in THE WAITING ROOM waiting for it. Will not be getting any prescriptions filled here ever again.

The pharmacist was very rude. I went at about 11pm and told her my symptoms for a dry skin patch (which sometimes wasn’t dry). I told her I’ve tried oils and moisturizer. To this she replied, “I don’t have anything magical. ” She said you must have tried everything if it’s been there for that long and she just went away.
I just asked a normal question. This is no way to talk to someone who’s asking your help.
