Special Event Rentals - Regina

I used SER for the rentals for our wedding and they were great, they have a DIY room in the back where you can actually see your vision come to life! We rented our linens, chairs, napkins, runners and it could not have been easier, they dropped everything off on Friday and came to pick it up on Sunday which was a huge load off our shoulders. Amy and McKayla in particular went above and beyond to make the space just how I wanted it, they are the best!

We worked with SEV for our wedding & had a great experience. I worked with McKayla who is amazing! She always was quick to respond to any questions I had. SEV did the set-up & take down of all our rentals which we felt was 100% worth it, to make the whole weekend easier on us. Overall such a smooth process!

Everything we rented from them was in great shape & looked beautiful in our venue!

We worked with Special Event Rentals in Regina to plan our wedding and rented our decor from them. McKayla, in particular, was so fantastic to work with, available to me whenever I had questions or popped into the shop and always got back to me so quickly! She helped bring our vision to life with her samples and it was really special having the beautiful, timeless options of decor to select from! Thanks again so much for being apart of our special day! Have used Special Events twice now for bouncy castle rentals and both times have been great experiences. From booking to return great service.

I was sent to you guys from my friends at Legacy Catering who recommended you and I’m more than impressed with your customer service. This was the first time I’ve used you guys and I will definitely use you again. Everyone I worked with on the admin side was great and when I went to drop off today everyone was super nice. I’m really impressed with the guys on the side that unloaded the glassware out of my car for me. They were very pleasant and helpful as well.

The BEST wedding rental experience! I rarely write reviews but couldn't resist writing this one. I first reached out to Special Event Rentals, Regina because all the tent rental places in Manitoba were booked for my wedding date. Special Events quickly informed me that they were able to accommodate delivering to my remote, Manitoba location. Amy and her team went above and beyond to make sure wedding planning from provinces away (Vancouver) was seamless. I was able to rent all my items through them — tent, chairs, linens, glassware, decor etc.which made it a no brainer! They were super attentive to my questions and were always happy to send me photos of products. Their rentals are beautiful and their clear tent made our outdoor wedding SO magical! The set up staff was also amazing, they showed up on time, ensured that everything was set up the exact way my husband and I drew it up and made it a truly stress-free experience. I couldn't recommend Special Event Rentals enough! Thank you for making our wedding so SPECIAL!:)

Special Events was incredibly good to us during our wedding planning process! We had a lot of changes due to the pandemic and they adapted with kindness and ease and were always accommodating! We were especially impressed with the clear and diligent communication and their set up crew. We had a huge set up and they, and the venue (Local Market YQR) worked so well together and made the process so much less stressful. I would highly recommend them!

The experience we had with Special Events in Regina started out as a good one. Jaclyn was great to work with. Our wedding date was October 2nd 2021
As our wedding got closer, new restrictions came out regarding covid so we made some changes to our venue.changes being going from a hall to a 20x40 tent. Tent was much smaller than the hall that we had booked originally. We called them as soon as we made the change because we wouldn't need some of the décor that we had first booked to rent.
Many points that lead me to believe that this is not a credible business:
1: Called us 2 days before they were to come and decorate saying they needed to be there the next day. I rearranged my plans letting them know that they had to be there before 3PM.they were not.
2: Charged us for take down of decorations, but they did not take anything down, we had everything packed away in the containers they left us.
3: Charged us $350 for set up and take down-this was the price quoted for the hall-no price reduction for decorating the tent that was much smaller. Their set up was 3 strands of lights and a backdrop.
4: Ordered a round table for our cake, they brought a rectangle table-they did take the rectangle table, brought the round one but didn't provide the correct linens as ordered to cover the table-had a rectangle tablecloth instead of a round one
5: Had a half round table for our head table, they didn't send the correct linens to cover this part of our head table, but insisted they did.
6: Charged our credit card for the total amount on October 1st-BEFORE we were even married and BEFORE receiving an invoice to go through to make sure it was correct.
7: Invoice was not received until Oct 18th, and this is when I noticed a number of things we were charged for but didn't receive. When I tried to reach out to them, I received no response for 9 days when I then talked to the owner. He offered $125 back in an instore credit, 25 of which was my own money because they charged me for lights they didn't use or leave for us.
8: Asked the owner to see my signed contract and he told me it would cost a $450 admin fee. I have no signed contract with them, the only thing they were given permission to charge our credit card for was the deposit when we initially booked them
Never have I paid a deposit anywhere and not paid the final amount without an invoice first.
Owner had a take it or leave it attitude with the $125 back-which was in the form of store credit. I will not use this or recommend this business too family or friends, it is nowhere written in the contract that they only give store credit not your actual money back.

Can't say enough great things about Special Event Rentals. My husband and I celebrated our wedding in Regina and used their services for our rentals (chairs, tables, table cloths, etc). Everything went very smoothly, they were very helpful, organized, and easy to communicate with. Thank you once again for helping us make our big day so special to us!
