Streets Steakhouse & Bar

My wife and I were visiting Moose Jaw and across the road from our hotel was Streets Steakhouse. Coincidentally, I was hungry for a good steak. After being seated and served our drinks, out of curiosity I decided to check out the reviews for this place. Though mostly favorable, there were a lot of negative reviews, especially on the steak. That made me apprehensive as far as the steak was concerned, they are costly, but I decided to order the 8oz. Filet anyway. My wife ordered the steak fajitas. Well, I can tell you mine and my wife's meals were absolutely fantastic! My steak, was a premium cut and done to perfection, medium as requested. It's not often I can praise a meal like this. I am normally quite particular when it comes to my meals, but this is definitely deserved. We had great service and just an awesome overall experience!

Update: 2 years later (Jan. 18,2024), I'm back in Moose Jaw on business and I'm back to try Street's once again. Came for supper and once again, my wife and I enjoyed a fantastic meal. We both had the 8oz. Filet, hers with mushrooms and mine with shrimp. Steaks were tender, juicy and perfectly done. Service was also excellent!

Decor is generic cottage core steakhouse with low lighting. Food was really good, the blue cheese burger is amazing! The brisket sandwich didn’t have as much flavour as I was hoping. Would definitely go back for the blue cheese burger!

P. S.when we went to pay (giftcard) we were told the tip cannot be paid using the giftcard, and as our total was less than the amount on the giftcard we could not get a “carryover” for the balance - a “use on the same visit or lose” situation

Had a really interesting experience that ended with a nice surprise.

Food and ingredients are fresh and absolutely always served with care.

Went to Streets with company from Las Vegas last night and we waited a long time for our meals; when they came, they were all cold. Talked to the waitress and she just said, “Oh”. Bill was over $200 for cold meals, I didn’t want yo make a fuss and ruin our evening so I thought I’d write a review instead.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful lunch Delicious food and fast friendly service Would recommend it to anyone

Food was not very hot at all.waitress did not come around to often so by the time she did I had eaten most of my prime rib sandwich. I did tell her but nothing was done or offered

Staff was good. Steak was cooked properly but was a bad cut, chewy and kinda stringy. Not worth the price at all. I guess the quesadilla was good.

We don't get to come to Streets often as it is a little more pricy but the food is totally worth it. My boyfriend and I always get the mushroom caps, they are a must. Very creamy and so delicious. Another favorite of mine would be the club sandwich, but they have lots of delicious options to choose from. Majority of the time service is really good as well.

Food was great! 9 of us for dinner and no complaints! Seafood pasta was lovely and then lunch the next day the burger and chicken fingers were amazing!

We were a little hesitant about coming here tonight due to some of the posted reviews.
We are glad we did.
We started off with the Stuffed Mushrooms. Wow!
For our Entrées, we had a 10oz New York steak and the Seafood Fettuccine. They were both to our liking.
We finished with the Blackout Torte. Perfect for date night.
The drink prices were cheap and came out cold.
Our waitress was polite, friendly and attentive.
We are visiting from Alberta and can say this has been our best culinary experience in Moose Jaw.
Glad we made the choice to come!

Highly unimpressed! First time I tried to order they told me delivery time is only 4 - 8 which sucks but okay. Ordered a prime rib sandwich for delivery they said it would be 20 minutes. It's not been OVER an hour and a half and I still haven't gotten my order, I've tried calling the restaurant countless times and can't get through - just keeps going to an answering machine. Very unimpressed I was looking forward to trying this place as everything on their menu sounded so good but next time I'll save myself the waste of time and just order from BP's!

Ordered a $44.00 steak. Medium rare. Steak came average of 1/4 thick and well done all throughout. Did even appear to be 12oz. Never have received such a thin cut meat at a restaurant in my life. When I mentioned it to the waitress in a very polite way. She reply that's sad to hear. Definitely won't recommend a steak there. Brothers 10oz prime rib was twice the size and quite good.

I will start off with the delivery was very fast and your delivery guy extremely pleasant. A+ for him. How ever the steaks I was extremely disappointed in. Over cooked Definitely not a med rare and flatter then pancake.i did not see my value in a 10oz steak.the potato was good the deep fried cheese curds wore good. Tryed to call back after we got our food but all I got was a busy signal. Not very impressed especially at the fact your website advertising everything looked so good.

We came here specifically for steak and was quite underwhelmed by the seasoning. The cooked temperature was perfect though. For $44, the sides should've been better as well. Mashed potato was alright, but the "seasonal vegetables" was a single piece of corn on the cob. The star of the meal, for us, was the boneless dry ribs. Super crunchy and tasty. Also, their loaded Caesar was awesome.

Fantastic food and service, great menu options that aren't just your standard fair! Staff was great, friendly and inviting.

If you want me to spend money in your establishment perhaps I unlock the doors when your web site says you are open. Left and entered elsewhere. We won't be back.

This is a nice place for any occasion. The locals celebrate special anniversaries there. Within walking distance is a campground, so you also have people dropping in for a bite.

Came for supper with a girlfriend and everything was AMAZING. First off GET THE MUSHROOM CAPS! I wish I would have taken a picture of them but we ate them in 2.5 seconds. I had the seafood linguini and my girlfriend had a chicken pasta (I forget the correct name) YUMM. For how busy it was our food came in good time and our service was excellent. We will definitely be back next time we come to town!

Food was adequate, considering the high price. Upselling a "stuffed potato ($3) " to a 44 dollar steak seemed a bit much.

This was our first time ordering. We called and ordered for delivery, the girl was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We requested a timed delivery. It arrived exactly on time, the food was so delicious️️ We will definitely be ordering again.

Food was only okay, burger seemed a touch generic and brisket for the brisket poutine didn't seem homemade, however the various signs around the restaurant really cemented the fact I won't be back.

Why would you put this pressure on your customers, let alone your staff? It screams unprofessional, and it showcases to me you're only willing to pay your employees the absolute bare minimum. If people don't want to come back to work, perhaps consider taking some of the profits from the high priced foods and paying the staff a wage that allows them to live, without tips, to ensure people are willing to come back.

I cannot fathom the thought process of plastering these all over the front of the restaurant. It made me feel terrible for the staff, having to work with whomever thought it was a good idea to do this.

Amazing service. I haven’t been into Moose Jaw for awhile but came to visit some family, we weren’t sure where to go but saw this place when driving around. Decided to check it out and it was the best decision we could have made. The blue cheese burger was the best I’ve ever had, and nothing but good remarks from the family. The staff was absolutely amazing. If you visit Moose Jaw I highly recommend stopping in.

Heidi gets a 5 rating from us. She was pleasant, professional and engaged and would be part of the reason we went back. Stopped for a quick nosh on our way thru town, had decent dry ribs and ordered an interesting salad to go. She had all the toppings in separate containers when I said we had a few hours to tavel.
(And we agree with a previous poster, lose the political signage)

Came in for food tonight because they had a large seafood menu. They brought out the seafood linguine without any garlic toast and the mussel shells had no mussels in them so I sent them back. They brought it out again with all the seafood being chewy and overcooked and the sauce tasting like butter and lemon juice. All I can say is I’m happy I didn’t order the $50 lobster. The sangrias were also disappointing they were in large mason jar glasses and tasted like pop they barely tasted like wine. The server never even apologized for me having to send my food back three times. This was my first time here and I definitely will not be back. The caesar also came with a pepperoni stick on it which was not stated on the menu and my daughter is pescatarian.

Went there for supper last night and was greatly disappointed. Had the fish and chips but took a salad instead of chips. Salad was so small maybe a fork full. Left there hungry wife had the Montreal steak sandwich with ceaser salad which again was so small plus they added $2.00 for it. Would not go there again. Too expensive for what you get and the servers were not friendly at all.

Chicken strips and jalapeno burger are great. Service was great. Three times I've been there they were nice and friendly.

They not only have great food, they are doing a good job of making you feel safe during COVID. Safe distances and cleaning after each customer leaves.

Our meals were cooked to perfection. The servers were friendly and efficient. The steak are amazing. The atmospere nice and relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

Can't speak to the food as we never got to eat. My girlfriend and I came to town from regina for our anniversary supper as we had never tried this place and love trying new steak restaurants. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 10pm however when we walked in at 8: 10pm the hostess said sorry we gave last call and we won't serve you, even though there were still 5 tables eating in the restaurant and lounge. Extremely upset but luckily the flats was open and gave excellent service and outstanding food.

Awesome steak and salad. I wads very impressed. Ladies even delivered to hotel as im a truck driver and was not able to get to their location. They went out of their way to accomodate me. Muchly appreciated. I will definitely be back for another steak

The last time I was l there with a friend was when it was still Rock Creek. Other than that, not much has changed. Food was awesome, except for when we decided to look at the dessert menu, we had no room! Oh well.next time order a half order or get something smaller and make room for the chocolate dessert (can't recall the name of it), but will be back many more times

It was.okay? My family came to town and I suggested we go there for lunch after I heard good things. Lunch menu was really pricy with everything being around 18-20 dollars but if the portions and food is good its justified.

I had the chase burger which wasn't bad but when the steak sandwich came for the others it was a giant plate with a piece of white toast and a little round steak placed on top.the second the server left we all chuckled. She said it tasted like it was cooked in a unwashed pan/grill and I tried it and agreed it had a weird taste that couldn't of been seasoning. They both left unimpressed and I felt guilty for suggesting it to begin with.

Prob wouldn't recommend for lunch to anyone. I can certainly see why we were the only ones there. Maybe the supper portions are better.

My first visit based on recommendation. I ordered the Prime rib dinner. The entire meal was barely warm. The fat drippings started to solidify on the plate as I neared finishing. For $38 I will stick to the Keg. Not an enjoyable experience.

Okay Moose Jaw, you’re always complaining about not having enough good restaurants in town. Well here’s your chance to back a family owned restaurant and bar that truly delivers the goods. The atmosphere is fantastic and the wait staff are friendly and helpful. The two of us decided to have the Entree Platter for 3 - 4 people. Which included the in-house smoked brisket, baby back ribs, crispy fried chicken, corn on the cobb, baked beans, coleslaw, fries and cornbread. Way too much for two very hungry people, but so worth it. The ribs and sauce were super tasty, the cornbread melted in your mouth, the fried chicken so crispy and well seasoned and the brisket was exquisite! These people know how to pick good meat and cook it up equally as well. Support your local businesses while enjoying the food at the same time. It’s a win win for everyone. I highly recommend!

Decent place for lunch. Nice decor, good menu. Had the steak sandwich and soup.

The first thing I noticed upon first glance of the menu was extremely high pricing. So I ordered the 17 dollar ssb club sandwich and would expect it to be amazing for that price. Well no it was mediocre at best with a very small piece of chicken inside. I was actually shocked at the small piece of chicken considering the price point on this item. The bun was hard & dry, had fatty bacon that was not crispy and it lacked on toppings such as, you can see a quarter tomato in the picture. Again your not getting what you paid port with this item.
The food and service was far from great and I was not impressed or (wow'd) by either. Also both our waters had a brown chunk of something in the ice which was pretty gross.
2 stars and I think I'm being generous with that.
This was my first time eating at streets and will likely be my last.

NOTE: The was no type of separation of customers in the lounge with no social distancing at all. There was other groups of people sitting on both sides of our booth that were within 3 feet of me. Other restaurants have blocked every second table to space people out. But at streets there is no system at all that I could see.

Food was excellent, service was great and the ambience nice. Staff were constantly cleaning and Covid protocols were followed

A little less country in the playlist would be a bonus. All around great experience.

We went for supper on the bar side on Tuesday night and everything was awesome service was awesome. The food was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

OMG. Just went to the streets way better then Rock Creek. I so happy the ditched that franchise and did their own thing. My favourite Red head is back too (Skye) she made our experience the best just love having her as a waitress. I’ll definitely start going back more often now.

We went as part of their reopening. Was not so great. We got the big platter worth over $60. The brisket was extremely chewy and a bit dry. The corn on the cob was severely without any taste and also dry. It was impossible to get a drink even though we could see our waitress 5 feet away through the glass just standing their. The rest of the meal was just more of the same really with no highlights. It wasn't good in December when it was Rock Creek and I dont see much improvement. As a side note we sat next to the owner /managers. Their meal looked great

So close to a 5. Creek Burger, delish, juicy, cooked perfect. Booze Caesar, delish just right. Fries had great seasoning, made you eat them all, and the creme brulee cheesecake, I did not share. Wow. Why not a 5 star, had to ask twice for refill and waited a bit too long for desert. Not sure why but enough for me to care.
Prices were good. Food alone, well done.

I went here with my wife and kids while passing through. We had three appetizers, lettuce wraps, calamari and firecrackers. All three were a disappointment. The lettuce wraps came with a filling that was mostly vermicelli noodles, a good tasting sauce and a few morsels of chicken and vegetables but only five pieces of lettuce. Not nearly enough for the filling. The calamari was terrible. It was quite tough and the sauce was bland and did not taste fresh. The firecracker is a bacon wrapped jalapeno with cream cheese and a piece of shrimp on it. I should have known that the shrimp would be overdone or the bacon undercooked or both (which is what happened.) The noodles in the kids menu item tasted like plastic (maybe the oil was burnt.)

The service was very good and she brought extra lettuce right away when we requested it.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and kid friendly. I would recommend this place for drinks but our food was not enjoyable.
