It was definitely not worth the money. The massage itself was poor, and the therapist hardly used 50 minutes for an-hour massage.

I recently spent two days at Temple Gardens with my wife and adult daughter. It was a pleasant enough stay until the second day when my daughter booked a massage. After her massage, I could see immediately that her experience was not good.

She told me that her "masseuse" reeked of body odour. I can just imagine how that must have felt in the closed confines of a massage room. Furthermore, she described his "massage" to be more like stroking. She found this both creepy and annoying. She has never walked out of a massage in her life. Her only regret was that she did not walk out after five minutes. She found the "masseuse" to be both unprofessional and incompetent.

Management scheduled a second massage for the next morning. While my daughter was having her second massage, I asked to speak to the Manager Rachel Hardwicke. The attendant, Shelley Miller, told me that Rachel was away. I explained the situation to Shelley and asked what Temple Gardens was prepared to do to compensate for this unfortunate situation. She promptly phoned Anna Pasion, Acting Manager. I heard Shelley say to Anna "We've got to do better than that". Anna offered a 20% discount.

I then went and asked to speak to the General Manager David Wood. When told that Mr. Wood was unavailable, I wrote a detailed message asking Mr. Wood to call me, I heard nothing back from him.

Conclusion: When things go wrong in an organization, this is not a problem but an opportunity - an opportunity to take responsibility and set things right. A complimentary massage would have set things right. Sadly, this did not happen.

We spent one night in the King Suite with Jacuzzi this past weekend and had massages and a facial at the Sun Tree Spa. The room left a bit to be desired as there was drywall patches on the wall, the shower head spun towards the wall when turned on, and our AC unit sounded like it may lift off at any moment. Our experience at the Spa was exceptional, albeit it was our first time at a spa type resort. My massage therapist Tyson gave the best massage I have ever had and was extremely nice. As someone with chronic pain I have had a lot of different massage therapists and he was by far the best. I would drive from Saskatoon to MJ just to book him again. My partner enjoyed his massage as we booked the couples Sacred Mind and Body treatment. My facial was also amazing and had a great experience with the front staff when regarding billing. I even lost my receipt and called them later in the week and they sent a copy over right away so I could claim my massages. The pool was very relaxing, but as other mentioned the change rooms could use updating. We are definitely planning on attending again, but maybe ask for a renovated room next time.

I don’t usually post reviews, but it feels like it needs to be done. I tried to book a couples massage for my husband and myself for our birthday weekend. We are already staying at the hotel and thought it would be a nice treat for both of us. It was my mistake for waiting until the last minute to book, I’ll admit that. But once I told the receptionist what date and time I wanted to book for she sounded so rude and disrespectful, like I was inconveniencing her. I have very bad social anxiety so it was extremely hard for me to call to book in the first place. I was trying to be as friendly as possible… I understand that massage services probably book up fast. That’s not the issue. Her attitude over the phone made me feel so uncomfortable. She even offered me to book a pedicure instead of a massage… in addition to the only single massage service available for that particular day, which was odd. Maybe some more customer service/compassion training for your receptionist is probably a good idea… or maybe even an online booking option could be a better alternative for people who feel more comfortable doing that.

Highly disappointed in my first time experience at the spa. First off, I called to book a dermaplaning facial and while on the phone she seemed distracted and busy. Fine. I specifically asked if we can go in the mineral pool with this type of facial and they said not to get my face wet. Ok great. Showed up for my appointment, had a "consultation"- asking me what type of skin I have, asked if she can do extractions on my face, ect. I was so excited for my dermaplaning facial because I've never had one! So here I am getting a facial and the time passes on.soon I was done and no dermaplaning happened or maybe I didn't even notice? Nope. Didn't happen. I asked her if she was doing the dermaplaning and she said the booking at front desk said a "custom facial" not dermaplaning. First off, nothing custom about it. Pretty generic. I said when I booked with front desk I booked in for a dermaplaning. Her response: I'm sorry your suppose to ask me for it during consult. Um excuse me? I'M suppose to ask. I already did ask when I booked! I was suppose to mention it- lesson learned I guess and blamed it on me! Called manager when I got to my room and Quote: the best they could do was jazz bags for my party (there was 3 of us). All I wanted was dermaplaning not jazz bags. The jazz bags seemed to be products from the dollar store. In the end it was a booking error (on their end) so they should be responsible and make it right. When I called to book for a dermaplaning whoever booked it booked it wrong- so I had to pay the price! Really disappointed and unprofessional for blaming me. Not sure if I will go back to the for the price and ecspecially the service! Also, my friend in our party had her facial cancelleld last minute and bumped to Sunday at 8am! I also booked a dermaplaning facial for her and she was scheduled for a custom facial! They need to make it more clear and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!

The pedicure we got was actually alright.
But the services were very expensive for what was received.
We were told the Indian Spice Ritual would be very romantic, which is why we booked it. It was not romantic. I told the practitioner that I have extremely sensitive skin on my face so she had to be very gentle on my facial. She assured me she would be and everything would be fine, then she ended up damaging my skin. My face was burning and severely red all night afterwards.

The hot stone massage was extremely disappointing. Actually, the relaxation massage we got from the estheticians during the "Ritual" was more thorough and enjoyable than our treatments from the Registered Massage Therapists.
We are very experienced with massage therapy so its easy to tell when a therapist doesn't really know what they're doing, or doesn't care about the treatment.

I am sad that I don't have better things to say about the services, we really wanted to enjoy them all.

Melissa at Sun Tree was amazing. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve never had a treatment before and it was great. 75 minutes went by so quickly.
Would highly recommend and would go back again.

I went in Jan 2023 and had 2 treatments, salt of the earth massage and Gua shu facial. Both heavenly. Love the geothermal mineral water as well. The spa is very professional and very clean. I have no complaints
