Tamarind Regina

Yesterday we got big biriyani platters for our party. The food was so delicious and unique than other Indian restaurant. Presentation was great. Highly recommended.

Came there on last Thursday around 8.45 and the restaurant was closing @ 9.30. The lady @ the front was unhappy on our arrival as she showed very much dissatisfaction in serving food for us. So we had to relieve from there & had to find better place. So much dissatisfied with the service.

Friendly and fast service for take out. The butter chicken was surprisingly bland and the fish pakoras were quite heavily breaded.

It was great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming, staff was very polite and made great recommendations

We recently went there for dosa because we heard they have good South Indian food. Firstly, they don’t have good South Indian menu! Dosa was terrible and sambhar was not enough. Perhaps other food there maybe good but I am not going back for dosa.

Today we went for dinner very amazing service and food was delicious the chef Yadav and chef sunder had great authentic test in their hands. Very nice bomaby chat panner Tikka and achari bhindi and Dal Makhani and Naan was fresh hot and soft.great team. Work.

Hi Visited the restaurant yesterday. The smile of front staff was very welcoming and she was very friendly.

Ordered: - Calamari, Kerala Porotta, Beef roast and mutton
didnt get beers we preferred and cocktails as it was unavailable

Waiting time was decent

Calamari tastes good quality was decent ️

Kerala porotta was expensive as well as seems like a fusion of punjabi and tamil porotta (real kerala porotta available in I-dine)

Beef roast had that kerala authentic taste ️
Mutton roast tasted not good

Its not a south indian but managed to give our favourite porotta beef combo… giving 4 stars for that

You have to eat here! So many choices and the flavours are amazing. Can’t believe I waited so long to try it. The biryani was so good! Can’t wait to go back!

Food was ok but service is not good. I will come for take out order next time. Because I ask for extra sambhar at 9: 15 at the middle of my dinner. But she says kitchen is close. I am disappointed with this. That means you throw everything at 9: 15 even though you have customer in store. And you know that customer ordered dosa and he will definitely ask for more sambhar.

The food was delicious. Paneer Tikka was very tender and marinated very well.
Dal tadka and rice was my soul food and loved it to eat with Achari Bhindi. I had really nice Nebbu Sharbat after a long time.

Just some advice for service, don't serve main course meals and plates unless asked or ask the customers if they would like to have their main course once customers finish their appetizers, just some basic etiquette of serving food in the restaurant.

Always very good food and good service. Great first stop off the highway from Sasktoon into Regina. Huge portions, I always take some home.

Wow, what a great experience. Awesome atmosphere, great service and fantastic food. Great vegetarian selections, delicious chai and lemonade.

We ordered 3 items from the appetizers menu and the chicken wasn't well done, when informed the server he got offended by saying that he didn't cooked it! It was chef, anyways we were 3 people and told him to take the chicken order back and bring the new order and the server just brought back 1 piece and served one of the guys which we felt bit rude and server started arguing at the till about the order, we were gonna have dinner, but spoiled our evening there and had to go to some other restaurant for dinner, tamarind please look into it as this was poor customer service, we came to spend good time there but rather than serving good experience the server just made it worst, we could argue as well but we didn't wanted to spend more time there!
Poor, delayed and rude service by the guy at the till hope this will be addressed. Thanks

I’ve been in canada for 4 years, but never had such a great food from any restaurant’s but Tamarind. Thank you Tamarind for giving me and my friend’s a night that we will never forget.

Went here for a wonderful supper. Once again, the flavours were lively, and the spice amount was perfect. Our server, Anu, was friendly and quite helpful. For $80 we had a bottle of wine, an app, 2 mains, rice, and a selections of breads. We ended up taking some home. Don''t let others fool you by claiming small portions, poor service or bland food, this place is top notch.

We ordered the mushrooms sauteed in garlic and onion today.delicious and perfect as a meat alternative or accompaniment. Anu is your greeter and is very pleasant, courteous and friendly. With all the Indian restaurants in Regina, The Tamarind is first class. The restaurant itself is warm and cozy. It is in northwest Regina by Superstore.

OCT 23,2021 Yet another excellent order on pickup! Tamarind is consistently very good.delicious food, generous portions and more of it than the surrounding competition. The nan is so soft and buttery. Best dal tadka around and good dal is a priority for us. The people are gracious and it's a pleasure to support this local restaurant. Thank you to their staff.

I ordered out from Tamarind for the first time after seeing their many gluten-free options. They even double checked regarding cross-contamination while I was on the phone. The food was absolutely amazing: beautiful, fragrant and very tasty. I haven’t had food like that in several years. Highly recommend.

Tamarind is my favourite dine-in restaurant in Regina. I love the food and I love the staff. The atmosphere is great for a quiet date. You can hear the servers and your companion!

Bad customer service. We ordered Butter chicken and it was rubbery and unable to chew. So we complained about it and asked for credit but the staff thought that we lied about the food and did not give full credit for our next order.

Went here last night for the first time and got the dosa with potato. It was delicious however I found it a bit too spicy and I did ask for it to be made less spicy. Overall I would recommend this place.

I usually order take out from Tamarind. The food is amazing! I've spent time in India and each time I order from Tamarind I'm taken back there. Definitely recommend.

We visited few nights before.food was good but customer service was not good at all. Girl who was working didnt bring our starter.she brought main course and then starter which we refused.she didnt give up spoon with Dosa.how can you have sambhar without Spoon? I had to stand up for spoon and anything i needed.there was lack of offering things.not returning for sure.

The food was really delicious and great presentation of the food. I like the spicy and the way ordered it was perfect. The taste I wanted I had never got anywhere else. Best paneer tikka masala I had. 100% visiting again and again. Friendly staff every 5/7 mins they were coming and asking for water and feedback of food.you guys are great.

Very disappointed with my pick up order today picked it up drove across the city opened it up and my order had no rice. Last time in I ordered the same thing and I had rice dont get it.

The food here is consistently high quality. This is not a place to hurry through lunch. A fresh cup of coffee took 15 minutes.

We tried their Malabar chicken Biryani it was so amazing. The Indian tea is so authentic. Staff are so friendly. Definitely a must try!

It looks like a place. Its very clean place but I only tried their chaat and it was really good. The quantity is worth the money you pay. Not very pricey.

Disappointing to say the least. Surprising to see ketchup with pakora, and ranch (or Cesar?) bottled dressing on the salad. The chicken curry was very sparse (3 small pieces). The naan and rice were decent.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Saskatchewan. Their spiciness scale is a little mild compared to elsewhere.

The mutton & beef dry curry is outstanding. The garlic roti is very good.

Just returned for a dinner with family at Tamarind. As always, delicious! Such great foon with great flavour. Our party of 3 had an appetizer each (shared), our own main dish, chicken village for me and a rice biranyi and naan to share. Came away full and satisfied, with leftovers for lunch tomorrow! This will be a regular stop when I am in town visiting.

Trying for the first time. Want to keep the calories down, so just an appy and rice Biryani. The Bombay 'Street' Chat was off the chart. The blast of flavour is out of this world. Veggie rice Biryani was ok to good. Lacked a bit of flavour compared to others I have had. Looking for a snack the Chat is where it is. Biryani missed the mark.

Bathrooms were clean and the staff was great.

Went there today and man the proportion they give you for the amount you pay is craaaazyy satisfied taste too, I'll forsure be coming more often.

I remember my first experience at this place, and I was very sure that of all the people, I won't rate my experience as it was the worst of all. The food wasn't right, the taste and the customer service! After 2 years, my recent visit was to my surprise and I must say, I had the best appetizer and the best food in a while! Great experience over all, from greetings to some recommendations and the quality of food.

What a jewel. The food was very flavourful, the staff were friendly and helpful. Portions were nearing excessive, especially when price is considered. Such a great experience, we will definitely be going back.

We were recommended this place, so tried it out last night. It was a real let down. Food was bland, we asked for medium spices. Dal Tadka was the worst dal i have ever had anywhere in a restaurant. We ordered Paneer masala - nothing to write about. Sad. The food is not even accompanied by any onions and/or lemon. I am sure I am never going back or recommending this place to anybody.

Ordered take out today. This is my first experience. Ordered chicken fried rice and chicken manchurian. Food was of good quality. Service time was very quick roughly 15 minutes (probably because the restaurant was not that busy). The chicken was fried or tandooried before adding the Manchurian sauce which shows Chef's quality. The fried rice also had authentic indo-chinese vibe. Only reason I am giving 4/5 is because I tried to call before going but 3/4 times went to VM (store was not busy when I went). Also, website needs updating (it says "sorry we are closed" and prices are outdated). Recommended if you are looking for south indian style supper in a western style environment.
