The Keg Steakhouse + Bar – Saskatoon Brighton

Just a terrible experience. Have had dozens of dinners here and this week was absolutely disappointing. Service was non existing. Food was cold and the smallest portions we have ever seen here. The salads were wet, the steaks were cooked nowhere near what we asked for. No apologies just threw us the bill!

The sirloin was good. The prime rib was perfect. The prices were lower than to be expected for that quality of dining, and that is not something I am accustomed to these days.

Poor service they got my steak wrong twice, and we waited long time for our steak ceasar drinks taste like water.

An absolute beautiful restaurant with excellent service. We were seated right away and our food arrived quickly. The food was very good and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

The Keg was able to accommodate our massive table of 25 People, The service was fast and efficient. The servers were very kind and uplifting. Very informative and helpful.

The food itself was fantastic, steak cooked perfectly. The only thing was the garlic mashed potatoes wasn’t very garlicky.

Overall the experience was great. Would dine here again.

Lovely as always. Except that the space is quite small for the number of customers being served.

Ordered prime rib and for the first time in my life did not enjoy. Ordered med well and mine came really bloody for my liking. Figured I’d give it a try but could only eat maybe half.my fault for not complaining but hate doing it, too bad the waitress didn’t make eye contact or she would of seen something was wrong.wish I could post a picture but no option

Went there fo a supper with my wife had the calamari and tuna tartar as appetizers the calamari was acctualy good but the tuna was very very bland and nothing too special just rear tuna and avocado on top no sauce no seasoning or nothing, then we ordered steak and lobster it was the biggest let down ever i ordered medium steak and got a well done plus my broccoli was just burnt and black not to mention very old tasting fries over all very disappointing only the calamari were good and also when i spoke to manager about steak he told me he will bring another one in 8min but took over 20 min and at that point i wasnt hungry no more wont be going there no more rather go to chop or cactus club much better

How could you not enjoy this restaurant? The food. The service. The ambiance. The experience.

It's near everything you'd hope for for a top of the line restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the whole experience is wonderful.

I love this place. So happy I was able to experience the snow crab again.

We had a hit and miss experience. We came to visit to have a date night before flying out to a tropical destination to be married. It was a very special day for us.

We were seated in the bar while waiting for a table. Eventually a table in the lounge came available so we decided to take it.

Unfortunately, the server we had in the lounge was very inexperienced. We were asked numerous times for clarity on our drink order (which was not complicated) and our drinks didn't arrive. We had an appetizer and our server didn't come by to check on us.

We ended up having to ask to be moved to a table in the dining room and from there we had a much better experience with a very good server. (Brett)

Management did their best to rectify the situation by providing complementary drinks but the problems were not over yet.

For some reason our previous lounge server brought out our meals and failed to recognize that one order was incomplete. One of the meals (2 tail lobster dinner) only had one tail on it and a missing side. Thankfully, our new server immediately recognized the problem and corrected it.

For the price point and reputation of The Keg, our experience on our special night was extremely disappointing.

Although we had great service for the remaining half of our experience, we can confidently say that we will not be back.

Food pricey but good.
The service was ok. Just took a little longer than I expected for the server. She checked on us but not often enough.

I loved the Stake and the ambiance of the Keg. The food never disappoints you. The Neptune Mushrooms is an absolute must try! The only reason I am going for 4 star is the fact that our server was either vert bored or not interested in delivering a good service and sometimes a bit rude! That was not a great experience when you go to the Keg!
Anyway, I'll make sure to request a change if I have the server if it is him the next time.

Our server was Parker! We came on one of the busiest weekends (sorry!) but Parker was a absolute treat. I appreciate the transparency for wait times for food, and how often we were checked in on. It’s very rare to get a server that cares about their guests! We rarely come out to The Keg so I’m very impressed with the service we received today!

Always a great experience. We had an issue with our meal, but they were quick to fix it! The only complaint is the draft coming off the window. My arm closest to the window was so incredibly cold! I had to keep my jacket over my shoulder on that side.

We had a great server tonight. Kate, I think? She was prompt and professional. Food was mid. Not as good as we remember. Steak was bland. Prime rib lack flavor as well. 2 in our party had ordered medium rare but it appeared raw. Over all not terrible but not amazing.

We came on Feb 10th for our 10 year anniversary/my husbands birthday/Valentine’s Day. I had a reservation for 6 pm for the lounge and we were sat down at 6 in the dining room. I asked what the drink special was and the server told us that’s only available in the lounge, I explained to him that’s what I had booked but we are not ones to complain usually. He ended up finding us a table in the lounge but it was a big round one and very awkward for 2 people to sit at. Could have seated 5 or 6.
Our first server asked us if we were there for a special occasion and we told him. The second one in the lounge didn’t ask at all. This is our second time coming here for our anniversary with no acknowledgment. I see all these people getting offered desserts for a special occasion but we never have.
My husband got the 20 oz ribeye and cut half of it off because it was fat and it came with mushrooms which wasn’t described on the menu (this isn’t really a complaint but neither of us like mushrooms and it was a waste). I would like to add that both steaks were cooked perfectly.
Most of our green beans were charred to the point of not edible but the beets were delicious as was the loaded baked potato.
The drinks served were also good. 2 whiskey sours, white wine sangria and a mojito.
Overall our bill was $155 and in these times that is a huge chunk of cash to be spending. We debated between here or chop steak house and next time we will be trying chop.

Great service! Food was amazing, but I wish there was more sauce on the Brussels sprouts and the salmon. The margarita was okay.

Wonderful front end staff, amazing food, quick, really impressed with the location and building. Not so impressed with the lack of parking.

Boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary supper and both ended up quite sick afterwards. We shared a burger and French onion soup. Not sure I will be going back due to this experience.

What a beautiful restaurant located in a new area of Saskatoon called Brighton. As always the food is great in the service excellent which is typical for keg restaurants. We found the happy hour hours of later in the night odd, but I guess you have to pick some sort of time. I'm always astonished at how many people have not tried building miners pie. If you're one of those people you must try their signature dessert the Billy minor

First time being to the keg in this location. Layout, size, decor reminds me of the old one. Nothing really special going on there.

Service good, food was probably the worst I've had at a keg yet. Had the 18oz prime rib, and at almost $60 or $70 I was expecting the same level of quality I always had received. What I was told was mid-rare was more medium or medium-well. Tough, bland and just disappointing. Used to be so soft you could cut it with a fork.

Garlic mash was good tho as it always was but sad when it's better than your cut of beef. Had like 4 bites of beef and packed the rest of it up for my dog. Overall disappointed. Not the quality I remember.

Everything was amazing. We were at the Stoked centre and had a pretty awful experience. Came to the Keg, and the staff was knowledgeable, the food was amazing and the drinks were super tasty. All in all, nothing short of amazing. We will be back time and time again. Tha k you for making our anniversary a memberable one! Cheers!

Excellent service and good tasting food, but. I had to ask for a sharper knife to cut through my prime rib. The server said "of course! " and brought two new knives (he seemed to know that the knives are dull). This is a problem that a top notch steak house should never have. Have someone that knows what they're doing sharpen your knives or.get good quality serrated knives. The prime rib was very tasty and cooked perfectly, but.it definitely had some chew to it.
My wife had the filet mignon and her steak was tender and delicious.
Our server "Parker" was excellent and ensured everything was done right for us.
The complementary desert for our anniversary was a pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This is a great place to eat at, we we're treated so special.it was our 53 anniversary. We sure will go back again.

Probably still rated in the top 5 for best keg restaurant in canada.
Prime rib was over the top fantastic, and service was top notch.
Expensive, but worth every penny for the all around experience!

Take out experience was quick and pleasant. The containers definetly added to the experience as they were nicely packed. Look forward to the in-house dinning experience in the near future.

Decided last minute to visit on Father’s Day. Only two of us and we were happy to eat in the lounge. Service was initially very prompt but the meal took longer than expected. Staff was quick to apologize and was very attentive. When the steak showed up well done instead of medium, a manager was quick to replace it and even adjusted our bill because of it. The Keg shines again and I recommend it for date night any night.

We had an exceptional meal for our 45th anniversary. At first we found the atmosphere a little boisterous at 5: 30 pm on a Saturday night (in contrast to the more sedate older location). We were soon won over! Everyone made a fuss about our special occasion. The staff were just right: No pressure, courteous, professional, friendly. The food really stood out. My medium-rare filet was absolutely perfect. The Béarnaise sauce is always a highlight. I added the shrimp and scallop Oscar … which my husband also had for half of his main course (he has a small appetite). He also had the bacon wrapped scallops. He loved his meal and will have the same next time. I can’t wait for my next Keg filet! Not inexpensive but well worth the price. We were actually surprised how low it was. We had the wonderful red-wine Sangria (the best I’ve had) and the Cab-Shiraz on tap which my spouse pronounced delicious!

I went to this restaurant with my wife without a reservation. We did not have to wait even though it was quite busy. Our server was Nikki and she did a great job. We ordered fillet mignon - bacon wrapped- 10oz - medium rare. It was cooked to perfection and the quality of the meat was superb. My only regret was buying move tickets too close to our meal time. On request, Nikki expedited our meal delivery so we could eat and run. Two thumbs up for this restaurant. I will be returning.

Josh is an excellent server and went far beyond expectation. The drinks were great and the food was perfect. Cant wait to return

Amazing staff, fast service. The food was done just right and delicious. Came out full and happy!

Not very well managed. Made a reservation that I had to wait for and was seated right with a group of 15 people at kitchen door. Left before even ordering.

Took a bit extra time to get the food but it was worth the wait it was very busy and note we where a table of 18

We had our anniversary dinner at The Keg on Friday October 11th. The place was packed, I didn't realize how big it was until we got inside! We waited about 10 minutes after being seated for our server to come by and take out drink orders. The service was steady and what you'd expect after that. We then ordered the creme brulee and the manager came over about 10 minutes after we had ordered saying that they had run out, and we said whatever dessert is fine - surprise us! The surprise took an additional 20 minutes to arrive (Billy Miner pie). All in all the food was delicious, but there were definitely a few kinks in the service!

Great food. The Gnocchi vegetable medley that I had was outstanding. Service was great-they really looked after one of our party who had a lot of allergies (though because it was very busy, it was quite slow). Ribs, steaks were great. Prices generally are high.

Went for supper with my wife and daughter one evening. Service was great. They were able to accommodate my wife's dietary needs and we were able to enjoy a nice family supper. We will definitely be back.

Very good. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Good service. House music low enough it wasn't a distraction. Lights bright enough to enable reading the menu.

Not giving 5 Stars as we made a reservation, and were given the table RIGHT beside the kitchen entrance. My idea of calling & making a reservation is so that I'm not in the "cheap seats" in a restaurant. Food was good, waitstaff friendly, willing to help, but not overbearing.

Flawed! It is apparent the kitchen and bar are not capable of accommodating the number of tables. I don't normally complain but people should know that waiting 90 minutes for your food is a real possibility if the restaurant is full.

We arrived before 8 on Saturday night and didn't get our meals until 9: 30. While we waited managers were apologizing to various tables around us about the wait, so it wasn't just us.

My wife ordered some wine and the waiter came back 20 min later and apologized saying the bar is backed up and it will be another few minutes.was another 15 min for sure. My steak was undercooked but I was not sending it back at that point for it may never come back. I love the Keg but I definitely over paid for my meal at this location.

Nice place! They took our appetizers off our bill because it took a long time for them to come out- to be honest, we didnt even notice. The food was really good and our waitress refilled our water a lot but didn't ask about refills on alcoholic beverages.

Excellent service from the moment we walked through the door until the moment we left! Karen was a very attentive server. Food was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back.

Everybody was very friendly and professional. The drinks were great and the food was delicious! I’d definitely go here again.

- OVERALL THOUGH, BEAUTIFUL BUILDING AND THE FOOD WAS MOSTLY GOOD ONCE WE RECEIVED IT ALL.
- MANAGER DID NOT ATTEND OUR TABLE TO ADDRESS ISSUES.
