The Resort at Cypress Hills

It was a wonderful night and the great hotel located on the mountain between the cypress trees. Amazing view amazing location.

Been coming to the park for over 25 years. Always stayed in a camp ground but decided on a room stay this go round. Rooms are basic and been to many many 2/3/4 star hotels…. This is not that. Wifi is terrible. Room services are almost non existent. Amenities in room are very minimal and updated in the 80’s. Front desk staff were almost to the point of refusing to help us out with minor requests. If not for the beautiful area I wouldn’t recommend a stay here. Bring a tent or trailer and book as soon as park registration opens or you won’t get a spot. Full reserve a site park.

We had supper at the resort, great service! I had the salmon and seasonal vegetables. The salmon was cooked perfectly.

We have gone to this resort at least ten times over the years. It's nice that they are sprucing the place up - but their priorities are skewed: they are putting in a fancy front foyer instead of upgrading rooms. Bathroom fans are loud and irritating, A/C sounds like a construction site and quilts are lumpy. The owners and staff are top notch; however, the restaurant needs a new menu and a chef who doesn't over-salt all the soups.

I’ve been wanting to visit this place for the longest time and I’m glad I finally did. Nicest people who went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. The rooms we’re comfortable, that food was delicious and the atmosphere was just wonderful!

We had our anniversary supper there on the 2nd. They had prime rib and all the fixing.was excellent! Our young server was very good as well.she was delightful.

Comfortable, clean rooms at a great price! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and made our stay one to remember!

We stayed in a townhouse and it was very dated…furniture was uncomfortable and the beds were uncomfortable and springs made sounds all night. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and so was it’s pedestal. Staff was courteous and Ivan’s restaurant is great! We feels these units need a major facelift for the prices they charge!

We came to tent, the rainy weather settled in the day before. This lodge took us in with a warming greet. The service was great and the location is close proximity to the pool, ice cream food services, hall and restaurant. Satisfied customer.

I have not stayed in the hotel part, but the cabins and condos are ok. The cabins are rustic, no TV. The condos, the regular condo has a very tiny kitchen, no place to store food besides the fridge. They are outdated but beds are comfy. The other executive condos have more room and lots of space in kitchen. When you want to experience the outdoors one does not want a fancy place. I highly recommend anything at Cypress. Cypress provincial park is amazing. It's a hidden gem.

My husband and I recently stayed here with our fur babies for a much needed quiet weekend away. I honestly can't say enough good things about the resort. The staff were incredibly friendly, the townhouse accommodation was clean and comfortable, with our own fire pit. Ivan's restaurant provides delicious food, and the wait staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back for more visits. I only wish the restaurant would open a little earlier for breakfast in case you don't want to cook in the morning, but that's the only thing I would call a "fault". I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Overall, a good stay. The staff were exceptional. I appreciated having a little fridge in my room to keep food in. It was clear they have been making an effort to slowly upgrade things, but some items are still very dated in the rooms and the general areas. I do think the resort needs to upgrade their technology and have an online booking system - it's a little ridiculous that a resort requires you to phone to make a reservation. Also, the e-mail I got a week prior to my reservation date had very old information about access to a skating rink, toboggan hill, snowshoes, skis, etc. My stay was in August - not sure what they would have done had I insisted on them letting me go skating.

Can’t beat the location! The trail network, pool, and Tree O Six are all walking distance. We stayed in the hotel. Rooms are nice and clean with some modern updates but the 80’s still shine through in a lot of places. The beds are good and the place is quite. Staff were friendly and helpful. The view out our window was great, nothing but lodgepole pine! Biggest beefs are the archaic booking system and no breakfast options. We’d stay here again.

Great spot to stay, particularly in the off season when rates are cheaper, crowds have dissipated, and camping is not as doable. Recommend visiting in winter. We stayed in one of the basic hotel rooms, which was comfortable, but nothing exceptionally special. The restaurant is hit and miss and a bit expensive. Would like to try one of the other fancier types of accommodations.

Rooms were ok. The place is beautiful. The food was ok but over priced and the service was not good

A very nice resort with all the amenities super good restaurant, very nice lounge. The resort has motel rooms and the main buildings also condos for your family and the cabin experience with several cabins. I would strongly suggest booking early really nice place with lots of things to do at Cypress Hills provincial park

Had the Mediterranean grilled salmon salad. Yummy! We kind of arrived late but they were still happy to serve us and it was really good service! Attentive and friendly! Thanks!

Poor customer services. I would recommend to stay in maple creek or somewhere else and save some money

Awesome food at the restaurant and extremely friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone on the area. Also beautiful outdoors.

We stayed in the Townhouse and they were recently renovated. They were clean and cozy. Me and my friends enjoyed a lot. Even though untimely snow and rain did caused some changes in our plan, but we still enjoyed barbecue and some trails. Kids enjoyed seeing some deers. Ivan's restaurant was nice. Though very limited vegetarian options.

Overall all nice stay and everyone returned back with smile and full of energy.

I felt like the rooms (we stayed in a townhouse) were a little rundown for a 4-star resort. They could use some upgrading. Also, fairly certain that either our bed or one of the blankets that was provided had bed bugs as I left with 4 bites on my arm and some more lower down on my hip.

The grounds are stunning. You have access to lots of amenities like a small skating rink, wood for fires and snow shoe & X country ski rentals. There are some great little walks and small hikes. One thing that was disappointing about the accommodations is the lack of windows. When it’s chilly, it’s nice to curl out and see the forest. It wasn’t easy as the living room only had the glass door to see outside. Overall great activities, sub optimal rooms.

Beautiful location! Wonderful guest service and very easy to deal with in regards to check in and check out. Accommodations are lovely as well.

Very clean and quiet. Unfortunately, no activities for the days of our stay. The Riding stables is always a good choice and the outdoor pool was great also. We brought our own steaks and had a tailgate BBQ.

Has severely declined in terms of accessibility and flexibility with long term attendees (30+ years strong). My extended family visits yearly bringing thousands in revenue. The Resort, I feel only continues to restrict this process in an atttempt to further monetize this relationship at the detriment of our experience. Respect our traditional and work with us. Rather than fighting something The Resort used to celebrate.

A nice place to lay your hat while staying in the park. It's not luxurious but it's clean and comfortable and well-situated in the overall layout of the park. The cabins are nice for feeling a little closer to nature and all have private fireplaces and picnic tables, as well as at least two outdoor chairs.

We've been visiting the resort for years and have never had a bad stay. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Ivan's restaurant has great food and attentive servers.

Resort was filthy. Room had dog hair on bed and carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. Excessive amounts of dog hair on sheets and comforter. Couch had excessive dog hair. Kitchen table and all counter tops had to be wiped down. Dust and cob webs looks like it hasn’t been properly cleaned for a couple years. Found dirty dishes with food stuck on them. We literally asked for a vacuum and cleaned the room ourselves. I don’t enjoy vacuuming on my vacation but I am allergic to dog hair. It’s too bad because we love the park and visit every year.

We stayed in the cabins. The check in staff were friendly helpful and pleasant. The cabins were clean well stocked and plenty of room. There were two adults and two young kids. Only complaint were the beds and pillows. For us it was very uncomfortable I know that it wouldn't be that way for everyone.

On the day we were supposed to check out (check out time is at 11am) me and my Husband received calls every 4 minutes from 11: 00 am sharp to check if we had left our room. When told that we needed another 45minutes, the older Woman who was working said, “No, And for us to come to the reception to hand over the room key. ” We were appalled at her level of service.

We were even more upset when the first thing she said to us in front of other guests at the reception during check out that we were Terrible people! ”. We were so surprised at her remark that we just didn’t know what to say to her! ”?

The maintenance man dropped what he was doing, switched vehicles and helped us out of 4ft of snow in the ditch! Awesome service!

We had our wedding here, the staff was so awesome and accommodating.
Food was great, and it was a great energy and atmosphere.
Offer great value for their services.
