The Rook & Raven Pub

Love the atmosphere and the food. 25 min wait to get a beer. 3 people 'working' (talking to eachother at the bar), a lot of "sorry for the wait". I was going to have 3 pints but only had 2, because I finished my beer and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes to order another, then wait for it to come. There were 5 tables plus mine, 3 servers.

This place used to be awesome. Now it's $9 for a pint that takes a half hour to get. Comparable with Cohen for horrible service.

Perfect spot for comfort food that is fresh and deliciously prepared! Warm ambiance and super knowledgeable service. Would definitely come back anytime I was looking for elevated pub fare. We shared a scotch egg to start which was fantastic - served w a side of homemade pickles. Steak sandwich and warm chicken salad club - both served with fresh cut fries. No complaints.
Also, good wines by the glass including an Orange wine which was perfect for the meal. Coming back!

Okay, Saskatoon! We stopped into this pub because it was downtown (near our hotel). And we were so surprised but how lovely everything it was. The atmosphere is a great vibe, there are plenty of tables & chairs (from bar seating to booths), music wasn't too loud, and the servers were great. The menu is pretty stacked, and the portions are large (so bring an appetite!). There is some street parking in the area, but of course, it's downtown, so you may have to walk a little bit depending on the spots you can find. The pub itself is disability/wheelchair friendly - there is a small portion of tables/chairs up some stairs in the back, but you can stay on the main floor with access to the bathrooms, etc. We will definitely come back next time we are in town. I highly recommend trying one of their signature drinks (from their large bar menu), the pretzel appetizer, and the bacon mac & cheese main dish.

Been here a couple times and we have never failed to be impressed. The menu is difficult to pick from because everything sounds so amazing. Finally picked a couple salads and scotch egg. Delicious! Dessert was a marvellous lava cake with a surprising collection of garnishes that complimented the dessert. Portions are generous, the staff are a sheer delight. The kitchen puts out a wonderful product…. Kudos to all!

Went here for a dinner while on a business trip, and had this place recommended by a local.

It has sharing plate options including a Scotch egg and pickles dish and charcuterie, and large portioned mains. Bring an appetite.

The steak and blue cheese salad was fresh and had just the right amount of dressing and pickled onions.

If you're wanting dessert it may be best to share food

They treat their employees poorly, they are underpaid and sent into work while sick. I can’t support a business that doesn’t regard those who work for it. Their prices are also really high, so you’d think they could pay their employees about $16/hour or more, but they pay them next to nothing. I didn’t work here, I heard this experience first hand from an employee. Saying there’s two sides to every story is dismissive, but also, on the other hand, validating as it doesn’t contradict my point. Raise your employees wages, give them proper benefits, treat them with due respect, actions speak louder than idioms.

The old fashion was done really well.surprised it wasn't on their menu but our server Lucy said she would make it for us.it was so good.was really happy with our drinks and with her service.

The food and drinks were awesome and the service was outstanding! Definitely make sure you try a bourbon soaked cherry when you visit.

We were searching for a place that serves mussels and we found this. When we get there they let us pick where to sit, it wasn’t busy that time but not for long.
Foods and drinks are amazing!
It’s just hard to get a parking nearby.

Friendly pub with a nice selection of local beers on tap, plus a good variety of food choices.

This place used to be my favorite restaurant last experience made me feel as though it was a shell of what it used to be. Food and service was ok the menu was lacking and the overall vibe seemed off

Its comforting to know some things don't change. Always liked the Rook's atmosphere, food and drink. Was there for an early dinner and some drinks with colleagues. Had the Brisket and highly recommend it!

I’ve always enjoyed the food but after the terrible service of my last visit I can’t say I’ll be coming back.

I was *starving* after a 2hr work out and wanted *all* the food. Rook & Raven delivered - many options for a vegetarian. I got a soft pretzel, the Brussel sprouts and a massive salad. The salad in particular was amazing - many flavours and textures. Knocking off a star as they forgot to add the veggie burger as a protein to the salad, the dipping sauces for the Brussel sprouts and pretzels were the same sauce and quite bland, and because of the price - total for the meal was $60+, which is quite pricey, even adjusting for supply chain issues compared to similar restaurants. But the food was excellent and I would definitely go back!

Poutine and Scotch eggs were amazing! The service was a little slow but would definately go back

Service was great. Food was delicious and it got to my table very quickly. Highly recommend a stop, you won't regret it!
