The Thirsty Scholar

We were looking for wings night, so based on the reviews we decided to go try it out on Wednesday. The service was very good, but the wings were mediocre. The wings did not taste fresh other than the barbeque flavoured ones. The buffalo ranch ones were old. The drinks were good and came promptly. There were some very classic features, and some of the furniture looked a little dated.

Best dry ribs in town. No sauce!

Went on a busy night, so service was slow, but all in all decent food and drinks!

The atmosphere was good. The menu is large but they don't have options for food sensitivities. Was pretty quiet on a Thursday evening.

We had the wings and nachos. The wings are the same as they used to be. The nachos were good with lots of toppings.

Super disappointed. Came in today (Saturday) was greeted at the front and told we could sit where ever. (dont sit by the chalk boards I guess) we sat there for 20 minutes and still didnt see any one to take an order. Even when we left no one seemed to notice.

Top quality meal delivered with quick friendly service. Meals are better quality than some chain restaurants. My steak was prepared perfectly.

Nachos are very bad but everything else is amazing and staff are amazing as well. I go all the time! (Edited due to the owners response, glad too see they care about the customers and business)

They allowed Vaping and weed inside the restaurant and over served some very young male customers who were very rude and unruly to the other patrons of the restaurant. I will never go there again.

It was sooooooooo awesome! The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic! We forgot to take pictures but presentation was nice and the taste was outstanding. I had the pulled pork quesadilla with scholar chips and my partner had the cod and chips. We were both delighted how good everything was!

Great pub with awesome staff and tasty food. Trivia nights on Thursdays are a blast, complete for prizes and the highly coveted hammer. There's a lot of good things to snack on but I highly recommend the Dill Pickle Scholar Chips!
