Travelodge Hotel by Wyndham Saskatoon

Travelodge is a go-to place for our family every after New Year especially they have the best water slides and spray park for kids. Unfortunately for this year, we did a 2-day stay in the hotel room 280 and at around 12: 30 am, my son saw a mouse and ran back underneath the ac/heat unit.while the other kids were panicking, it showed up again and ran back. We informed the front desk staff Sahil which helped us to move to another room (267). The room given to us doesn't have a hide a bed which made it inconvenient for my son but we are okay with it as long as there is no mouse but when my son asked for an extra pillow and comforter, the lady on the front desk (she said her name is Robo) was so rude. There was no pillow or comforter given to my son and we can't get the ones he is using before in room 280 as we have surrendered the keycard for that room already. Just disappointed that one of the staffs treated my son that way let alone the mouse incident and transferring to another room at around 1: 30am is quite an inconvenience.

Sit back and let me tell you about a night at the 'lodge. First off, booked online for $125 a night so I would say that was decent. Checked in at 4 and staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, it's all downhill from here. All the hallways and stairwells were littered with garbage and empty alcohol bottles. I don't think I've seen dirtier floors in a hotel before this. After getting into our room, which was a standard plain, beat up room, I thought it would be nice to turn the tv on for some background noise. Unfortunately the tv wouldn't turn on as someone had stolen a battery out of the remote. I can only imagine what they needed that battery for. Bathtub had more loose hairs in it than it should have for being clean. The room was cold and the heater/fan did not work so it was a cold night. But luckily, the hotel provided relaxing entertainment throughout the night, consisting of yelling, swearing, banging and the ever relaxing constant door slamming. The only reason the hotel got 1 stars instead of 0 is that I didn't find any Band-Aids floating in the pool or hot tub. I definately appreciated that. Overall, I would say, DON'T STAY HERE. Don't do it. You've been warned. I know I won't ever stay there again and you shouldn't too.

The staff at the hotel restaurant during breakfast make it worth going back. They are lovely.

Stayed in a jacuzzi suite for a convention. The room was spacious, obviously well cared for, convention services were awesome. The only complaints we heard were too few elevators, and the downstairs meeting rooms are hard to find.

We went in to watch the CCA on the big screen. And we had excellent service. Everything was awesome, the waitress was incredible.

I never stayed at the hotel but I am writing this review in regards to my friends wedding that happened in September. I had to post a positive review to personally thank all the staff (especially the Event Staff) that made the Reception go off without a hitch. When the bridal party walked into the venue we were blown away by how well the room was set up. The staff were so attentive, professional, well organized and accommodating. There is NO WAY we could have gotten everything set up and organized like they did, and it took so much pressure off when it came to the big day. They even offered free nights to the bride after the wedding. I highly recommend this hotel for events, from what my friend told me the venue was really reasonable and, more importantly, made the day extra special by going the extra mile!

Service at fixing restaurant was absolutely despicable. Breakfast buffet was extremely over priced, 20 for one person for essentially a continental breakfast you would receive for free anywhere else. Eggs were fake, coffee tasted burnt, and our table was dirty. I asked for a high chair and the server grabbed me one from another baby and did not clean it when I asked her to clean it she was upset. If you cannot clean a item from one table to another automatically you need to retake safe food handling. I also had a one year old infant with me and he made a mess on the floor, however he is a baby. I've worked in service and never once complained while a family was eating. Upon leaving the server advised me my infant and I could no longer eat in the restaurant because my baby made a mess, she said his mess was unacceptable. However her service was unacceptable. I have never felt so disrespected with my infant before. Yes he left a mess but my hands are full I can't be cleaning up their dirty floor for them and hold my infant. I would advise anyone staying at this hotel with infants to avoid the stress, disrespect, and overall prejudice against parents to not eat at fixing restaurant. I asked the front desk staff to speak with the manager who is not in today, and hopefully this issue will be resolved.

Paying $400 for a room, it should be clean. I shouldn't have to walk in and start wiping tables down before my kids can even sit. All around, a dirty place. The Water Park doesn't make up for it. Disappointing.

It's a good spot but the entrances to the parking lots were sketchy and chaotic.
Service and amenities were awesome and I didn't even swim myself.
The room was clean but most outlets & covers were hanging off the wall. The light into our room sparked every time we turned it on.
I can't lie this hotel was maze and super confusing to get around.
I'd still stay here again.
I heard someone changed rooms after finding their bed with nacho chips on it.
Ours was totally clean!

Was perfect spot with the kids a pool side room with 2 slides hot tub tot pool and a 4 ft deep pool. Great service.

Basic two queen room. Older but not too bad. Seemed clean. The only thing I did not like was the riff raff and raunchy ppl hanging out by the back door entrance smoking and they where not even staying there. Someone should monitor this. The pub red zone was nice we enjoyed our food and server! She was great! We came back to the pub at 10pm and wow it was a lot of rough ppl. Better for a quick meal and not the best spots for night life possibly.
My other problem was being told whne I called the reservation line I could use my visa debit there. But when I got there was treated rudely that I had no visa or MasterCard and had to use my fiance. Like just because a person does not have a MasterCard does not make them less than lol and the reservation line told me it was perfectly fine to use and hold the deposit and pay at check out, need to communicate better with staff! All and all was not too bad.

It's an old hotel but still decent. Got a suite which had a large tub in the separate bedroom. Hit the Red Zone sports bar, had a bite to eat and got offsale. Didn't use the pool but it looked like it would be great for kids.

Do NOT stay here! The space themed room is about 30 years old and the beds look older, with long and hard miles on them. It’s super dim as an attempt to try to hide the filth on every paint chipped or broken surface around. The odour only makes you wonder what possibly could have made it. We left immediately to another hotel and if that wasn’t an option, we would have drove 6 hours through the night to get home.

I very disappointed with the service at this hotel. I wasn't able to stay a night because the staff over the phone couldn't provide information offered on their website. I called to book the staycation package offered on the website (it says you need to call) and the front desk told me you need to book online. I stated that it says to contact the hotel and then he said I need a coupon. I once again mentioned that it was an offer on the website and it says to call, then he just said its no longer offered. I have no issues that it's no longer offered but I think the staff should be more educated on their services and the website should be up to date or they should honor what it has on it. I can update the review of the service at the hotel if we still decide to stay there.

Expierence was horrible. Got to the room the room was dirty. Greasy hand marks on the walls, marker on the tables and scratched up walls and doors. Complained to the front desk. They moved us rooms. And the smell was foul and musty. Was forced to stay in a dirty room Vs a smelly one. Couldn’t cancel because everywhere else in town was booked up. Cards quick working mutiple times the first night. And they booked someone else to our room as well. Had people walk in our room twice. Went to check out and complain for a discount. They stated “there’s no reports charted so we can’t do anything. ” Told Maruf that’s not on us, that’s on the staff. Stated the time and day we reported it and still continued to say if it’s not charted there’s nothing they can do. Gave us $20 off our stay was all. Would never come back here again. Everything is good just a little scary with all the thefts and sketchy people around the parking lot. Waterside and balconies were excellent though.

Prepaid with Priceline but hotel placed a $350 damage deposit hold on my credit card. 2 weeks later they still haven't released the hold!

It's a bit confusing to make your way around, trying to find where exactly the elevators to take you to your rooms are, and trying to maneuver around and find an entrance to the pool area that is actually able to be used (because they had the main ones blocked off). The rooms were clean, but had lightbulbs missing from a couple lamps, and a couple were burned out. I wish they would have fixed the smoke detector on the 2nd floor that made horribly loud beeping sounds every minute or so. It went the entire time we were there, despite having mentioned it to staff.

We were told by staff at the pool to be careful and not hit the end of the waterslides because someone had sliced open their foot the night before on it.yet it was still running, and had no signs up about it. The "hot tub" was lukewarm, and had no jets (or none that ran anyway), so it was like having a bath with 12 other people.
