Vern's Pizza - Central Ave

This is a hidden gem for a real "ghetto" style pizza experience. Great tasting thickly topped pizza with a great tasting sauce. I love it when places offer pizza by the slice.

I love to visit this chain when I visit Saskatchewan. Thile incredible pizza is fronted by an unpretentious and basic store front.

This is not the place you want to go if you prefer a delicate and dainty bougie pizza.

Ample parking and super friendly staff.

Not is Saskatoon very often but when we are tens Pizza is a must stop the Double Double is our favourite a must try get a single slice or a whole pizza.

Ordered my favourite, Vern’s Special and when it arrived I tried to pay with my debit card. The machine wouldn’t work and the driver kept apologizing. He took out the battery and reset the machine, and it still didn’t work. After 10 minutes of trying my pizza was luke warm at best. The driver and I decided I should call the restaurant and we both talked on speaker. I said I didn’t want to pay full price for a cool pizza and suggested I should get it free, with the encouragement of the driver. The person on the phone laughed and said no one had ever suggested that. I said it wasn’t funny because I didn’t want to pay for a cold pizza and he hung up on me. I sent the driver back without paying and called the restaurant. I told them I sent back the pizza and would like a hot replacement pizza, and he hung up on me again! I have tried messaging the Vern’s Facebook page and calling back to the restaurant as they suggested, but the customer service is ridiculous! Very rude because he said it probably was my fault the machine didn’t work.

I don’t eat hallall or to salty others claiming haram as for the pizza reviews there is over salt on it on the dead meat pizzas

I've always had great service here and have never been disappointed with the pies. When you order a thick, they give you thick, they never skimp on toppings.

Visited this location on the evening of May 8th. The young worker was not only courteous on the phone, but also very welcoming in person. And it really seemed like my order was made with excellent care and attention. I might just go out of my way to visit this location in hopes that it's the same excellent worker that prepares my meal

I tried a slice pizza. It was fresh at the time I tried it. Staff are helpful but sometime it seems they are not aware of customers waiting outside.

We've been getting takeout for 15 years! We like the meal for 4 item. Consistently good for a quick meal with a large family.

Went in for pickup tonight for ribs and potato wedges. Added on a slice of pizza, chips and a pop. Damn good food. Great service! My only problem is. I didn't tip enough. Sorry to the dude working. Next time I come in, I will fix that. Cheers

Ordered 2 pizzas and ribs for pickup.
Guy says 20 minutes so we go there in about 25-30 minutes and our pizzas are ready in the back and dude says 2 mins then goes and proceeds to put our ribs in the fryer. Making us wait ultimately another 10 minutes whole our pizzas get cold. Not very impressed if he would have told me he forgot the ribs I would have canceled them instead of waiting.

Who doesn't want a couple cold slices after a busy day.
It's a verns pizza.shut up and go eat it.

Vern's Pizza is known for their pizza loaded with ham and yes it really has lots of ham

Poor delivery, delivery person put pizza on ground to give me machine to pay
Expect to wait an hour and a half minimal. Disappointing in the service of delivery person and the attitude of the workers.
