Edgewater Hotel

Lovely stay. Good toiletries and a gorgeous, extremely spacious, bathroom. No elevators, so pack light.

Could not ask for a nicer staff and cozier rooms. Nespresso machines in each room, clean tile showers and quality toiletries. A little parking lot and right by a river walkway. Support small business, not chain hotels!

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night on Feb 18. The staff was friendly and always replied promptly during the reservation process, and the hotel has a great location near the river, shops and the MacBride Museum.

However, I was disappointed by the room. They were modern with good amenities, but rather dull and cold, not reflective of the Yukon's spirit at all. The bed design was especially terrible.there was a protruding edge along the side of the bed that was dark, making it hard to see given the room's dim lighting, and my knees accidentally knocked on the edge while walking, causing some bruise. The room also had terrible soundproofing, to the point where we could hear people talking and making certain types of noises in the room next door.

Also, we received a ground floor room and had to walk along a narrow hallway through a back door behind the front desk, giving the experience of staying at a motel. I would suggest asking for a 2nd floor room in advance. But overall, given this being one of the more expensive hotels in Whitehorse, I found the value to be poor. (The hotel restaurant, however, was quite good for dinner, while I'll cover in a separate review.)

P. S. The hotel was still offering 250 Aeroplan points per stay when I booked late last year but I was told that the program has been cancelled by the time of my stay.

We enjoyed a brief stay in a double room on the second floor which was nicely rennovated with a large shower and comfortable bed. Points for having robes and nespresso coffee in the room. The location is great for walking around town, and view was nice, as well with all of the trees decorated in lights along the river.
Wish we had time to try the in-house dining.

Was asked to be in the lobby at 4 am for the airport shuttle, which was late. After nearly an hour wait, we learned the shuttle had broken down. This was no fault of the hotel, and we greatly appreciated the receptionist checking in on the shuttle ETA multiple times, and then calling us a taxi at no charge.
Luckily the Whitehorse airport is pretty low key and we made it there without any concerns.

Went for the food! Portions are great and it tasted pretty good. Recommend going at quieter times because I had to wait over 40 min for mine.

Stayed here last week. And I like the hotel. Rooms have airco, big beds, clean, with a very nice bathroom.
The only thing I had trouble with, the restaurant was closed, and we arrived on a sunday. Which resulted in limited dining options.
Also the frontdesk room temperature was sky-high, they had put the heater om 24 degrees celcius. This also heated rooms above, so our room airco had to work in order to repel the heat comming from the frontdesk. The airco was quite loud, so that was not very convient. And it prolonged during the night.

I booked several rooms at Edgewater for my family when we were in town for a wedding. The hotel went above and beyond to help organize our rooms and provided us with a crib for my niece. The staff was kind, caring and attentive to all their guests. The location is perfect, the room are exceptionally clean and we will be staying there again.

The room was very nice and clean but smaller than expected. Booked a Queen and was definitely a double. It was very loud and hard to sleep. They did housekeeping at like 830am, very loud vacuuming and doors slamming and talking for hours. The restaurant wasn’t open sadly.
Staff was nice.

Pro: Great central location, nice and clean room.
Con: Pricey (not really worth it: no
breakfast, no airport shuttle). Poor reception service.

The hotel is nice and clean, the customer service is on another level. Tyler at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating.

Really enjoyed our stay. Room was a great size, beds were comfortable, bathroom was nice and the view of the river was awesome. Loved the location and being able to walk everywhere. Only complaint was the awkward location of the stairs to the second floor- you have to walk like you’re going to the back of the kitchen which was awkward to navigate. Won’t stop me from staying here again or highly recommend the hotel to others.

Had an excellent stay here. Very nice rooms and the service was awesome. Hopefully stay again on my home back to Edmonton.

The rooms are small but immaculate. Downtown close to walking trails, shops and parks. If you are towing a trailer parking is an issue. Byt the staff tried to help. 5 star staff

The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I wish I would have gotten her name. The room was small but clean. I loved the location.
