My vehicle is 3 years old. 2 years in block heater cord fried. Not covered under warranty. 3 years in battery blanket fried. Not covered under warranty. What was Ford employee's suggestion? “ stop plugging the vehicle in “ poor customer service.

Worst service I have ever encountered at any business. Ever time we have utilized them, they have made huge mistakes the worst of which have endangered our safety, and the least of which have hugely wasted our time and money, and have never once apologized and have actually treated us quite rudely on top of it all. Can’t express enough how consistently and unbelievably bad this place is.

Don’t take your vehicle to them for an oil change, unless you have too much money. I called them and asked for a quote for a 2014 power stroke diesel. I also told them that I didn’t need any other fluids filled, as I just filled the DEF and washer fluid. They said it would be 170 to 240 max, what is also a little strange as they should know exactly what the cost is. When I got the bill it was 375. Just for a regular oil change. They said oh well, I guess our quote was a wrong. Totally unexceptional. The service manager was supposed to call me, but that never happened either. Do NOT go there.

Quality work. Polite staff.
Not giving a great review as it took multiple follow ups before they ordered the parts needed (took a few months). After the parts came in it took multiple follow ups to get an appointment booked (another couple months). All but one of the follow ups were done in person. Originally I went in for the repairs in November, 2022. Repairs completed July, 2023.

My experience with Whitehorse Motors has been over quite a few years
and has been the same on all occasions very good and very pleasant.
The service reps have been very informative and courteous, the Tecks
have explained all problems and have done some great work in a
good time frame as parts and supply of same allowed.
I found the wealth of knowledge and care for doing a great job of
the employees is second to none in this business.
I can not speak highly enough of this dealership, they get a score
of over 10 in a possible 10.

Took a month to get an appointment. While they did fix a secondary concern about the CPS code, they didn't address the reason I brought the truck in in the first place which is a popping Styrofoam cup noise at tip out decel while up shifting. I can reproduce the noise at standstill and with my diagnostic tool which leads to a problem with the intake runners in the manifold. I told them this but they didn't even look into it. Mechanic says he couldn't hear the noise. Understandable i suppose.

Update Nov. 30 2022
Replacement of windshield as per agreement when I bought the truck last winter. That was great.

Another update. They didn't disclose to me the truck had $36k damage done previously.
Carfax wasn't provided by them and they wouldn't update it.
My problem I suppose as I didn't insist on it but got it myself later. Was I ever surprised as I paid book price on this truck.
Don't think I can ever trust Whitehorse motors again.

UPDATE - I waited 103 days for the part for my truck but it is finally back on the road now. The dealership did give me a loner vehicle for part of the time, however, it was Sam older vehicle which blew heat instead of AC and the back doors wouldn’t open and close properly, a far cry for a nice new truck to be honest. In general I found that this dealership was not willing to help me very much and all I got was ‘it’s fords fault we can’t get the part, not ours’…I even considered trading in my truck because I honestly didn’t believe my pet would ever show up, the sales team offered me $15K less than it is worth, needless to say I declined the offer. Oh, and someone at teh dealership also told me they ‘were stepping back and not helping me further’ because I was apparently trolling them on Facebook my sharing these same, factual items that I have indicted above. The thing that really left me bitter was that my truck sat at the dealership for close to 3 months and I thought they could have done something for me, oh I don’t know, maybe detail the interior or even wash the exterior to remove the dust and grime from
Sitting in the lot all summer!? !? Even though mh truck is back on the road, I am still not satisfied with this dealership and I would be hard pressed toe give them or my truck a positive recommendation to others.

Really appreciated the sense of urgency and timeliness on getting the parts in and the repair done on our F250 truck. We were traveling through town heading home to Arizona and we were diagnosed and back on the road in a week. Raul and Chase were awesome! Thanks.

Thank you to the most amazing service guys ever! Thank you to Dan for being kind and helpful when we came in with a leaking water pump. And thank you to Stu, the best diesel mechanic, he diagnosed and fixed our problem the same day! Every other mechanic shop in Whitehorse said it would be 3 weeks before they would even look at our truck. Whitehorse Motors got us in, fixed the problem and had us back out within hours! You guys are the best!

Pick up my car from service after a month, both side mirror were smash and the windshield was cracked. I don't know what happened. Worst service ever. Waiting for a call back.

UPDATE: Was waiting for a call back on Monday June 13th and now it is June 15th and nothing even after I left 2 messages to the manager. The owner phone # that reply is no longer in service. I've never seen a dealership like this.

I am not sure what is going on with the front service desk - however have not had the greatest experience recently. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change a while back (which as good) and they were suppose to initiate some recall work (order parts / take pictures) and scheduled the work the following week. The next week I brought it in and it sat there all day, with no work completed. They indicated the parts were turned around as no pictures were taken for recall. They then contacted me a week later asking me to take the pictures as again they did not while it was in the shop. So two times in the shop and they still didn’t take these pictures.

I then left many messages trying to book the recall work - with no follow up. Eventually a friend who works in the shop scheduled me. The front desk never seems to know what’s going on when I’m there with lots up upset customers. Hopefully they can get this fixed. Mechanics are great!

I think the dealership needs to fix their internal phone systems. Whenever I call to book a service appointment or check my appointment, invariably I am cut off. I’ll call right back and get sent to a voicemail. Usually, on the third call, the receptionist will ‘walk’ the call over to service.

I work out of town for most of the year, and really need prompt service but I have to book months in advance. I had a problem when I was in town in March but was told nothing was available in service for months. Having said what I have said, the maintenance work each year has been completed promptly on the day without any apparent issues.

April 20th I traded my car in for a nice 2019 Ram (Go Dodge!) 1 month to the day later, not only am I paying for my new truck. Ford is also letting me make all the payments on my trade in. In 1 month they have not been able to pay-off the trade in. Official response when i informed them? " David-
I have forwarded this email to Sean our Finance Manager as he is the one privy to the contract.
Have a fantastic day and I am sure all will be straightened out". When nothing happened I contacted them again, 3 weeks later. Sean - "it can take up to 2 weeks for the cheque to reach gm in Ontario, they will refund your account for any payments that came out
Our account advised me that the cheque was not cashed yet
Keep me posted and I will do the same. " Sorry guys, 2 week excuse was up 1 week ago at that time.
So here I am, 1 month later, and still no resolution and paying for two vehicles. Be careful when trading in with financing left. These guys wont perform thier due diligence, its not $ out of thier pocket.

Edit: now at day 37. No resolution. Again, unable to perform due diligence. That's Ford customer service.

Service on my vehicle was on time and certainly finished within an acceptable amount of time. Everything checked out fine so all good!
I would recommend Whitehorse Motors for vehicle servicing whenever you need it done.

I love in a small remote community in Northern BC and do A LOT of driving. When I need my car serviced it was always a juggling act to drop it off, get a ride back to my community or to run my errands. But the team at Whitehorse motors allowed me to leave my car, at the last minute, and completed the work while I was away on business! I returned with everything complete and feeling assured I was safe for winter!

I am sure it’s common for this dealership to have customers come from out of town for service. They should make sure they can do all services needed and expected when they book the appointment.
I would rather wait an extra week to have work done than have to drive back to Whitehorse (a 4 hour drive for me) another time to have work finished. Especially when it’s something as simple as wiring a new truck canopy.

Whitehorse Motors has always done good for the company I work for.

This last few months, after my truck was recovered from a theft, has kept them working to get my truck back in the condition it was prior to it being stolen.

I don't envy them having to deal with the insurance over it, and that was the big reason it took the length of time it did to get it fixed.

As usual, all interactions at the dealer were pleasant.

I highly recommend them for your service needs or for purchasing a vehicle!

I was a little disappointed again this year I put my car in to get my summer tires put on. My appointment was for 9 AM. I dropped the car off the night before. I called 11 AM and was told that my tires had not been put on as yet and they would get to it in the afternoon sometime after lunch. I called again at 2 o’clock and was told they were finishing up my vehicle.lWhat upset was that nobody had the decency to call and let me know that they weren’t going to honour my appointment and my car wouldn’t be ready till later on in the afternoon. The same thing happened last year I had my car there early in the morning because I had to travel to a meeting from Whitehorse to Carmax. Once again my appointment time was not honoured I was late for my meeting, which was part of my work day. I just feel that if you have a 9 AM appointment and the work is not going to be started till 2 PM somebody should at least have the courtesy to let you know.

Service staff are great. My vehicle was serviced quickly and efficiently and delivered ahead of the planned time. I have had my vehicles serviced and repaired at Whitehorse Motors for 10 years now and can say that they have been an excellent dealership to work with.

Took my vehicle in to get transponder keys made for it. Was advised by the staff that they don't stock keys that old and that I needed to get keys from a locksmith which Whitehorse Motors would then program. After spending over $200 on keys from a locksmith I was told they couldn't be programmed-I needed genuine Ford keys. Eleven weeks and over $700 later (in addition to the $200) I finally got my vehicle back.

Experience with sales and service/garage.

Was at Ford for buying a new car. Was impressed by their service! Was able to do an extended test drive. Sales person Brian is a very nice person and seems to care about customers. We were at other dealerships to look at other brands and got the impression they didn't care if you felt comfortable with the car. As if they didn't need to make the sales with you. The so called customer experience was very good at Ford. Thank you for that.

Furthermore, we have our 2014 truck here for checks and not urgent repairs. Although appointments take 2 weeks, we're more than willing to wait as we're sure they do a great job. Was told to call immediately if a problem appears again, so they may be able to squeeze one in where necessary. When we came to Whitehorse 2 years ago we had the truck at Canadian Tire and sadly they messed up a lot. Never happened at Ford. Warranty issues from the truck were dealt with in a very satisfying way (not squirm out not to do it). I also like the reminder service they offer. Always got a reminder call and email that remind us of the appointment on the next day.

Service desk has the worst costumer service I have ever seen in any industry.

Booked an appointment for my vehicle for an issue and being told they can do a recall on my vehicle at the same time. When it came time for the appointment all that was done was the recall and told that was all it was here for and I can "just take my keys and get out. " So after speaking to the service manager he even said he remembered me saying i was bringing my vehicle in for that since he helped me the first time with testing my battery. But still would not get my vehicle in for the 5-10 min time it would take to re-flash a part on my vehicle.

Booked my service appointment online, nice and easy and with reminder via email one day ahead of time. My truck was in and out in three hours, for a reasonable price ("The Works" plus seasonal tire change). Staff are always friendly and helpful. I also like the support Whitehorse Motors provides to the community at large. Most recently it's been selling tickets for the Guild Theatre and donating $$ to Yukon Cares or a truck for the SFN community safety program.

I had my spark plugs replaced on my vehicle at Whitehorse Motors. 47 days later one of the spark plugs blew stranding me on the south Klondike Highway. I had to pay $600 to get the vehicle towed. Whitehorse Motors did nothing to help and would not get it in to fix it. Just had to have over $600 in repairs done because they also failed to replace the boots causing 4 misfires. After 5 weeks of trying to get compensation for their failed work they denied any compensation. I do not recommend Whitehorse Motors. They do not take accountability for their failed work resulting in $1200 in damages and tow.

I do not recommend this dealership at all. The service department is extremely unprofessional, smug, rude and incompetent. I’m not going to write the whole ordeal on this “review”, but after reading some of the other poor reviews there isn’t much left to say. Very, very disappointed this is the only Ford dealership in Whitehorse.
