After calling around to 3-4 different flooring stores who were very flippant with me, or never returned my call, Absolute Flooring was a dream! I called and Austin was immediately available to discuss our home and was able to walk me through how the project would work. Austin gave me great recommendations and worked with me from across the country via email and phone to help me find the perfect flooring for our new home. He was even able to get his team to be available the very next morning after our first discussion to go obtain the layout and measurements from our house, as we had a very small window they’d be able to access due to our inspection happening. I was not yet in Edmonton, so he did the leg work to find me flooring stores in Toronto who offered the same flooring types so I could go look at them in person. It was a long process for me to make up my mind on the flooring, but Austin was so patient, kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Then when we finally got the house and their team came to install the floors, it only took them 2 days! We were blown away. They did a great job and even came back within hours of my email to ask for some touch ups. Accommodating me to come into the showroom several times and bringing home samples to make sure we made the best choice. We also purchased tile through them for our backsplash, which ended up being discontinued but Keely made the search and found exactly what we needed to finish our project. She saved our reno! Thank you Thank you! Kristin was an excellent source of information for the installer and helped along the way. Tristan made the pick up of materials convenient and Kim was always helpful and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this family run company for your next flooring adventure. They were very professional yet made you feel comfortable with all the silly questions all along the way. They truly care about their customers and the product they provide. We recently re-did the hardwood in our newly-purchased home. Working with our local contact (we were living 500 km away), he and Blair visited the house and Blair provided a professional and comprehensive estimate. Based on the quality of the estimate and the opinion of our local person, we chose Absolute Hardwood for the project and are extremely happy with the process and the result.

We met with Blair in-person once after taking possession and then at a distance for the entire project. While in Edmonton, we visited the store and picked up maple hardwood samples stained with various colours to help us to decide on the colour. We planned to go much lighter than the original, and the stain needed to work with the colour of the wood cabinets, and the dark stairs to basement and railing. This made the decision so much easier (and less scary).

Installer Jason (Walnut Grove Hardwood) was also excellent to work with. Accommodating us with emails and a Zoom call to see the hardwood once sanded to the original maple colour and then a section stained in the colour we'd selected, Jason kept us up to date.

Blair provided the oversight and answered questions or concerns promptly. Both Blair and Jason are highly professional and despite the limitations of us being so far away, completed the project on time and with a beautiful result. Highly recommended.

Needed to update kitchen flooring despite it being in fairly good condition after 33 years. I was recommended this flooring company and from the first phone call to followup after installation the experience was wonderful. The store is spotless and has so much variety. Appointment with Keely was very productive. With the masses of goods to choose from, Keely was extremely helpful in narrowing it down to 3 choices to take home. (I brought several pieces of the hardwood to the store I needed to match to new flooring.) Kristin came to do measurements and on second opinion confirmed my choice of the 3 was the best match. Several weeks later the installers came punctually and worked all day to get the chosen kitchen, bathrooms and stair tile installed. They worked tirelessly and with every attention to detail, they are expert craftsman in their trade. When trying to get into the oven of the stove after, I found it had been jammed on return to its spot but thankfully this was promptly fixed by Austin.
Several weeks later I am extremely happy with having this work done. The colour match is lovely. I was emailed a site that showed what the tile would look like in my kitchen and bathrooms: this also proving to be a very nice plus of their service. Price wise I did not compare because I wanted expert work, timely installation and caring service. All delivered and I recommend this local business to anyone needing flooring.

Our homebuilders recommended Keely and her team to pick out our flooring and tile/backsplash throughout the entire house. She made the process fun and was very talented at helping us pick out colours and selections that matched our vision as well as worked well together within our budget. The installers did a great job of helping our vision come to life and our house turned out better than we could have imagined. We never felt rushed. We required a few sessions to complete our selections and through everything, everyone always made sure we were well looked after and comfortable. We will definitely be returning one day when the time comes as we cannot recommend them enough.

While searching for an investment property, I came across a newly renovated unit that just had most of the flooring replaced. The floors were definitely a wow factor and was one of the main reasons I bought the apartment. Unfortunately, the flooring was not redone in the bedrooms. Dealt with Blair. Found him to be very knowledgeable and honest/factual about what results could be expected. Work was made more complicated by wanting to use factory finished boards and come as close as possible to existing floor which had been finished onsite several years ago. All in all a very positive experience.

Blair Rayfield of Absolute Hardwood Flooring repaired some serious scratches and deep gouges on my mother's hardwood floor this past week. Replacing boards wasn't an option as we had none from the initial install and redoing the whole floor seemed like a big expense for a small area to be repaired. Blair advised us of the repairs he could do and showed us pictures of previous repairs he's done. We can't see the damage anymore for the great work Blair did matching colours across a number of boards! Very friendly, fast and professional service.
