By far the best rental car experience ever at Alamo Calgary Airport! Easy in and easy out. But also, my wife and i discovered there was a cover missing that was allowing cold air from out side in from our trip. They discounted it 50% and on top of everything i forgot to give the key back and our agent came to find us in line. And was so cool thank you

The first time reserving a car rental with Alamo, it was better than expected!

We booked a Ford Escape (5 seater) for a week in Banff Canadian Rockies and received an upgrade to a Jeep Grand Cherokee (7 seater). The abundance of space saved us time maneuvering our snowboard + luggage bags.

The car was clean and ran smoothly. The check-in and out were smooth with no issues.

I highly recommend them if you're looking for a car onsite to the airport!

Amazing Customer Service, and an amazingly low price. Staff were so friendly, in particular the staff when we returned the car on Nov 3rd. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Rented a Jeep for a week in Calgary and headed up to Banff. Will definitely use them again

Was double charged, had that fixed right away as staff thought the first credit card was declined (when it wasn't).

As for car selection, i didn't have much choice.i was lead by one of the staff to my assigned car.

Only 4 stars - I asked staff if the car had winter tires on. She only mentioned "They are rated M+S (Mud and Snow) ". Depending on where you're going, this can be trouble. They were on all season tires! So if you're driving into BC (it's by law you MUST have winter tires on).

TIP: Be sure to inspect (take video and pictures) of the car before leaving!

The most wonderful rental experience ever.

Excellent customer service & Very good prices (no unfair/hidden fees). They have upgraded our small car for a brand new SUV! Whenever I go back to Calgary, I would definitely/only revisit Alamo for future car rentals. 10/10 service!

More of a PSA: there is a speed camera directly outside of this Alamo parking garage on Airport Rd. It's not particularly a fast street so I'm sure it gets many folks. None of the employees urged us to pay increased attention. The rental itself was ok. Our car wasn't as clean because the weather was recently cold but got us where we were going.

Excellent service from front desk to customer service attendants. Trust worthy, fast, detailed and efficient, friendly customer service. Car upgrade was given for free when I requested it, the car is clean, new and pleasant to drive.

I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service Alamo YYC airport location offered, excellent deal, efficient and quick service, fantastic cars, etc I had a CAA come to a remote location in Calgary close to Banff with a fob issue and they were quick to jump into action. Aaron at the airport return service was excellent, he understood the problem and also canceled CAA charges. Subtle feedback while handing over cars clients, please remind clients if the car does not support few safety features, in my case the car got locked on its own while the fob/key was still inside the car. All the best, I will use your service when I travel next.

If there was an option for zero stars this would be it.
Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this location. Upon returning the car they claimed I damaged a plastic trim behind the front grill. I was forced to pay the $500 deductible upfront and the employee said in 3 days another employee would contact me regarding the damage, if not to contact their branch manager, Haris Khattak. 3 days had past and I called the branch, the employee said the manager would call back who never did. A day past and I sent an email directly to him expressing my concern, no response a day later. I called the operator line who sent a note for the branch manager (twice) to call me, but still no response. Clearly they don't care about customer service, it's frustrating no one is willing to help and I felt robbed. I normally don't like to write negative reviews but they left me with no choice.

The absolute best service ever from a car rental company! The gentleman at the front desk was so kind and efficient and getting our car was seamless. Gormit, the very kind woman who showed us our car, was help answered all my questions. I usually stress out when renting a car but this was the best experience I have ever had! Property thieves. Beware.

Left a pair of Apple AirPods Max headphones in the car (retail for ~$800) and immediately called them back and they said they would look for it. However they never called back. The thief is probably unaware that these headphones have GPS tracking on them and just took them thinking no one would know. But later in the evening (around 7 - presumably when thief's shift ended) we saw the headphones moving from the airport to a different location (Munro Park). At the time, we just assumed they didn't find them before it had been rented out by new people and thought maybe we could just meet up with the new renters and ask to get our headphones back. However, upon reaching the location we didn't see the rental car at all - that's when we knew the headphones must have been been stolen by an employee. Later the headphones moved to a house - presumably the thief's address: 59 Castlepark Road NE. We have tried calling this Alamo branch countless times and they just drop our calls. I've also called the central Alamo customer service number and not gotten any help. Either this is an inside job or this branch just doesn't care that one of its employees has committed almost-felony level property theft.

WOW! What an amazing customer service at the Alamo Calgary airport location. All the way from the front desk to the car garage, each staff was welcoming. We had a terrible experience with Thrifty and the lady at the front desk of Alamo was able to take us in and make us feel so welcomed! She made the process SO SEAMLESS AND EASY! THANK YOU ALAMO!

The worst customer service I ever had.i rented a car there and they made a mistake on what car I was suppose to get. Secondly the email they sent regarding the payment breakdown was wrong.it finally got fixed but i spent two to three hours getting rerouted on the phone. No one knew what was wrong and kept transferring me to someone else. Finally it wasnt until 14 days later that when I gave it back, they fixed the issue in person.

This location of Alamo is just what car rental in general should be.
My experience:
Booked intermediate SUV via Costco.
Arrived to empty (of customers) counter= 0 wait time.
Got an almost new Rav4 with 2,400km on odometer. No leather seats, but adaptive cruise control, lane departure assist and carplay/ android auto. At the end got 34MPG with 4 pearsons+ 4 pcs luggage!
Return was just as easy- no surprises/hiden charges.
Highly recommended- Book with confidence!

BEWARE IF GOING INTO MOUNTAINS, the tires are M+S, not actual winter “snow” tires. We drove to banff, golden, revelstoke and the car felt very unsafe and slippery on highway 1. We were told all their fleet had the same tires. The check-in/checkout service is fast and efficient and the car is clean, just wish that they would put proper winter tires for customer safety

Horrible company to deal with… upon initial inspection there was extremely minimal scratch on windshield and a minor scratch on front bumper. When dropping off the car they said I was on the hook for replacing entire windshield. Could not convince the rep otherwise and I was in a rush he said the next steps were to deal with customer service to refute the claim. They charged my credit card and I’ve called numerous times unable to get ahold of customer service.

Absolutely go with other rental agencies and avoid Alamo like you would avoid a pandemic.

Gurmit, the service attendant, was so helpful and friendly. One of the best experiences renting a car, all thanks to Gurmit. We fly into Calgary regularly and have used to Budget in the past, but now we will be renting from Alamo.

Actually it's -5 star, really horrible experience!

If readers find it a lengthy review, plz do read closing remarks if u don't want to pay for what u r not responsible, plz for ur own sake!

I rented mostly from Avis, Enterprise, Hertz and Thrifty but never had this bad experience.

I worked for Avis-Calgary Airport as an expeditor-Rover (Who checks car with renters at the beginning and the end of rental agreement) from 2015-2016 so I know how the whole process works as I've seen "a few" accidents and cooperative and careless renters, too.

I rented a Hyundai Elantra 2021 in Jul-2021 for 4 days, while walk through I found chip and front windshield damages. I told the lady to mark them to avoid arguments later, initially she said v are not concerned about smaller than a dollar sized chip, it's due to hail and had been repaired. I said, I insist plz mark it on the paper to avoid unpleasant surprises.

It wasn't bright since it's a covered area on departure floor of Calgary Airport which may become a source of Alamo's income from renters who gonna miss/ignore all "Similar" negative reviews.

In my family, everyone even kids says that I'm a slow, careful and defensive driver. I ignore such comments as I prefer to avoid accidents and damages regardless of ownership.

When I returned the car, 2-3 people checked (while, at the beginning of agreement, I was with a lady, only) car and finally Rover told me that he found front bumper damaged, I said yeah but that's how I got it. It was dark I realized it after 2nd-3rd day that bumper is really close to ground from passengerside. I said I was the only driver and car didn't had any accident not even bumped or hit any single object. Further he said they checked twice b4 me and no damages so I'm responsible for the damages. I said if being professional, u guys miss the damage, y not an out of practice or non-professional (e.g, customer) can not miss these under the bumper damages?

For rational guys, if I hit a car front with anything, is it possible to break the bumper from bottom without damaging the upper parts of bumper? No scratches, no cut exactly hidden damages?

Further, let's imagine that I'm responsible for it, as on 10-August-2021, front bumper replacement cost could be around $2,500.00 for Hyundai Elantra 2021 starting from $23000 to $31,000?

He said your credit card may have car damages recovery option. I said even if they cover, it would be like coverage from someone's pocket who is not responsible for it.

I said if I would have damaged this car, I am willing to pay but he said ur arguments cannot change my decision.

Closing Remarks:

I don't know, may be Alamo won't charge me but plz check n mark each n every part even under the bumper to avoid situations like me.

I won't recommend Alamo (Calgary Airport) ever, this way they can be justified (in their own sense) or honestly charge me for my car rental only.

Everything went fine till they "Irrationally decide" to held me responsible for damages.

I know that only rental fee is justified not the claim of damages. They had been calling for my insurance company to cover that claim now they transferred this to Credifax (also having highly negative reviews) to collect.

I'm willing to get negative credit history but not to pay.

We rented a Kia Sportage from these guys on 18th December. One hour later, we were driving on highway and the car caught fire. Me, my wife and our 8 year old managed to jump out in nick of time. Within couple of minutes the entire car engulfed in flames. We were in shock, in the middle of highway in freezing temperatures. My kid was so traumatized with this, he could not stop crying. We found help from a couple who were driving behind us. Called the rental company many times, sent emails, messages etc. 3 days later got a call from the location and all they had to say was "we just got to know about this, we are so sorry". We lost our belongings in the fire. I have been asking them for rental agreement which burnt with car, they haven't sent it yet. Instead they have sent a claim for the loss of car. Their negligence almost cost us our lives. Please stay away from these guys. Alamo is a bad company with incompetent employees, zero customer empathy.

I was very impressed by the courtesy and professionalism of Swaran. We will rent again when we come back next year for our family trip!

Very disappointing experience! In short words, if you were class 7 N driver license holder from BC, they won’t rent you the car!

Here’s the full story: I reserved a rental car with Alamo because I read from posts online saying they have great service. I also did an accelerated check in, fill in all personal information including the driver license. After I landed at the airport and went to the counter, the clerk told me that due to company’s policy, there is no way to rent me the car because I’m the holder of class 7N from BC, and so does other rental companies! Even I explain that In BC, a class 7N DL holder can drive the car independently, and I’m over 25 years old, they still won’t let me rent. All my trip plan is based on the assumption that I get a car, if I can’t get a car, not just that my original plan will be disrupted and also all my booked hotels have to be cancelled without refund, I could lose thousands of dollars; now you can tell how angry I were when I heard those. In the end, I had to ask other rental companies. You know what, Hertz doesn’t have any issue of renting me the car at all. What a surprise!

What I am particularly mad at are two things:
1. When I booked online, there is no reminder that a class 7N can’t rent. When I did the accelerated check in, where I filled my driver license detail, they didn’t remind me of such company policy but showing a successful message. Only when I arrived they told me this, guess they really like surprises.

2. Your leadership or company policy maker really needs to study the difference of class 7L, class 7N and class 5 from BC. Why other companies has no problem about it at all while your company seems really concerned? It sounds like discriminating to me that your company doesn’t trust class 7N holders who are allowed to drive independently.

GOT SCAMMED. DO NOT rent from Calgary Airport location.
We rented a car for 7 days. It was clean, counter staff were friendly and helpful. Pick up was quick, we did a walk around the vehicle and shot video just to be safe. No problems with the rental. We parked underground for 3 nights, in a private driveway
for 3 nights, at Calgary Airport our last night. No hail, no falling rocks. We even purposefully turned back once when we saw we would be driving on a gravel road! We were careful to say the least. My partner insisted that we not even eat in the vehicle!
Upon our return we hadn't even exited the vehicle before we were approached by someone who immediately began using what we later learned was some kind of optical enhancing device, devices that that were NOT used when we picked up the vehicle. The attendant told us they routinely inspect the vehicles with these devices BEFORE a client picks up their vehicle, as a courtesy to save them time. Absolutely outrageous! To employ an optic aid without our knowledge is deceitful at best and fraudulent at worst. To have us sign off on a vehicle, inspected with the naked eye, and then upon return inspect that vehicle with an optic enhancing device is a scam. They have sent me an invoice for $1490.00, which according to them already represents a significant discount!
The 'dent' in the roof can't be seen, period. We couldnt see it even with the device, and we truly tried, bobbing and weaving trying to catch the right angle to see 'it. ' I took pictures that show nothing there. The best part is that even by their own standards of what constitutes a dent this wouldn't qualify. A dent is anything larger than 2 inches in diameter.
Don't rent from Alamo Calgary. I will post pics if I'm able and updates if applicable. I can't believe this location represents this company's customer service practices. But off in the distance as we were leaving I heard another customer starting down the same road.

Avoid this company like the plague. The customer service call centre will bounce you back and forth with the branch (which don't answer their phones) and take no responsibility for booking complaints. They refuse to give email addresses in which you can direct any complaints. They refuse to tell you their complaint resolution process. The online complaint/support forms have DNS issues and don't load. I have been forced to get a third party investigation into my complaint, don't hesitate to contact the better business bureau if you experience similiar treatment.

Boy oh Boy, thank you George! A 1 hour delay from YVR caused some frustration and anxiety from my young family. Hard to believe, but my reservation at Ace Rent a Car was cancelled and the customer service agent decided to argue with me. George came to the rescue and within minutes I was off in a lovely Kia Forte! Let the family vacation begin! Thank you once again George for the wonderful customer experience!

Had an awesome experience! Pick up was pretty simple and the car was meticulously clean both in and out. We enjoyed the car as it had only 4k on it and it was great. They were out of full size vehicles but they let us take an SUV. Return was straight forward and the agent was not nit-picky at all. We had a small chip in the windshield that we didn't even notice until drop off, and agent told us not to worry about it. I'll rent from them again considering my good experience.

Worst experience we've ever had with a car rental agency!

We booked a car online for pickup two weeks ahead (at the downtown Calgary location) and when we got there, it said the location was closed (we booked for 3pm) even though when we booked we checked online and it said the location would be open until 4 pm. We called their customer service but they were completely useless and said they couldn't do anything and told us to go to their airport location. We had to pay $40 for a taxi from the Calgary airport to the downtown location to pick up this car and now we had to pay another $40 to go back to the airport for a solution.

When we got to the airport location, the workers were so incompetent and didn't know how to deal with this. They called the manager and the manager didn't even bother listening to our problem, he said he can't do anything for us and cut the call very abruptly.

Now we were stranded at the airport without a rental car and were on phone with their customer service for an hour trying to find a solution and all they said they could do was "raise a complaint". They said they would call us back within a day and it has been one week since and still no call.
This whole situation was entirely their fault since they shouldn't have even allowed us to book a car at a time when the location is closed and on top of that their customer service was the worst I've ever come across in my entire life!

We had to wait about 30 minutes to get the car we reserved after signing in at the desk, and on the first day of driving the car I got a 'maintenance required' notice on the dashboard. This was a bit disconcerting because we rented the car for a long distance seven-day trip, but otherwise there were no problems with the car itself or the return process.

Alamo Calgary airport is terrible! DO NOT RENT from them.

After inspecting my rental for any kind of damage and then filling it with gas, I returned it to their garage area at the Calgary Airport on July 10,2021. Their employee inspected it and told me I was “good to go. ” When I asked for a receipt, I was told that it wasn’t company policy.

A week later, they asked me for my insurance information because they claimed I had damaged the car. There was no other kind of information attached and I assumed it was a scam. Then on July 21 they sent another email asking for $1300.00 for the imaginary damage. The pictures they enclosed show absolutely nothing wrong! In the photos, two areas on the left front of the car are circled in yellow, but there’s no damage. They just selected a couple of random areas, circled these areas in yellow, and now are saying there was damage. Horses**t! I can’t even tell if this was the same car that I drove.

The fact is that they are trying to get money from me because I refused their $29.00 a day “hail insurance” when I first rented the car on July 5.

These people are nothing more than a bunch of thieves wearing a company banner. The real issue is that this is probably company policy - try to extort money from the people who don’t buy your overpriced, useless extra insurance.

Spend your money elsewhere, definitely NOT at Alamo. And be aware that Enterprise owns both Alamo and National.

Best rental service ever! And I rented many cars over the past 30+ years.
First it starts with the greeting, Ricky welcomed us to Calgary and was great. Gill then escorted us from the front counter to our car, gave us a choice of 2 colours and made sure we were satisfied.
When we returned, Ming greated us took the time time to ask about our experience- really appreciated all the staff and service.
When you're away from home it means so much to know that you're being taken care of.

I’ve been renting cars from them few times now. Never had big problem, only few little things. But, this time they mess up bad. I booked a large 7 seats SUV long time ago, I need the large vehicle space. Then on the day of pick up I pick up time is at 12pm, I was there on time and complete the paperwork pretty fast. Then I was told to wait, they will come and get me shortly to my SUV. Then after half hour, I was still waiting so I wouldn’t find anyone around the desk. Finally someone comeback and told me the manager knows you are here so just wait. That was weird but I waited for another 20 mins. I was running late for my appointment so I had to check with them again and this time I ask to see the manager. The manager showed up and tell me sorry we don’t have the vehicle you booked. I asked why wasn’t I told 50 mins ago, I could go to another car rental place. Then his answer shocked me, we just don’t know we don’t have it and we are not sure when it’s coming back. You can take a small car if you want and whenever the large SUV is back I can let you know. At this point they just lost the credibility. Seriously I won’t be surprised if I don’t keep ask them they will keep me wait in the airport until the sun goes down. In the end I just cancelled my booking with them and call Routes. They sent a car to pick me up from Alamo in 3 mins, when get to their office the SUV is ready for me and I was on my way in 10 mins. So next time before you make your booking with Alamo, enterprise in YYC check Routes first, better price better customer service.

Gave wrong information so we had to come back change a car.
Only result after complaining to head office, getting a free day voucher.what a joke

Reserved a car online, arrived, was told there were no cars available. That there were cars sitting outside but they are all previously rented. 5 of us with a sleeping 2 year old in our arms. Will never reserve or rent a car with Alamo again. You should not be able to reserve a car if they are not available. Dishonest and wrong.

I rented a nice little Kia from Alimo, Calgary International Airport location. I had reserved online and picked up the car. The staff at the counter were efficient and friendly. I rented the car from Friday November 20 @ 17: 30, until Monday November 23 @ 15: 30 for $110 all in, a great price. Thing is when I called the same location to see about extending my rental they wouldn't offer a rate anywhere close to what I had just got, they wanted $47 a day +, for the same car! What a scam!
So I returned the car, and rented a different one from another company, also at the airport, for a rate the same as Alimo's initial rate. I guess they hope a person drives far enough away from the return point that they would have no choice but to pay the extremely inflated price.yeah nice try Alimo, last time I rent from them.

We reserved a Dodge Durango through Qeeq app well in advance (almost a month prior)
Upon arrival, we went up to the Alamo desk and asked for the keys of the vehicle. The gentleman who was working for National initiated to help us and walked to Alamo. He looked up on their system and told us that the vehicle is ready in the garage. We walked in the lot and a guy who had Enterprise jacket on told us that the vehicle we reserved is unfortunately not available and will instead give us Mazda SUV 5 seater. The reason we booked Durango was because it was 6 of us with three bags, and the man was imposing the 5 seater vehicle on us.
After kindly explaining that we were expecting a Durango for a very valid reason, he denied the whole discussion and kept telling us to drive that 5-seater.
We had an early morning flight and we just felt scammed upon arrival.
The discussion with the Enterprise rep in the garage got a little heated while my friend did mention that it is not safe to drive 6 people with 3 luggage’s in a 5-seater but he confidently told her that there’s no such issues regarding safety. We only told him not to make us look stupid and he said we’re calling ourselves stupid.
We went inside to solve the issue with the guy on the front desk, and mentioned the issue, he asked us to wait 30 mins or he would cancel our reservation?
We eventually got a Durango after waiting for more than an hour!
E xtremely rude and unprofessional. Never reserving with Alamo again.

Great Customer Service. We've used them for quite a while for business purpose and the team is always helpful, and accommodating. Sometimes it's not always the cheapest by comparison to perhaps some city locations, but good customer service is good customer service.
Keep up the great work gentlemen and ladies.

Made a booking, but my flight times changed repeatedly before I finally arrived after midnight. Not a single person at the counter and they did not attempt to contact me to verify if I was coming to pick up my booking or my boyfriend would have received the call. Now I'm stranded in Calgary and need to book a hotel (wasn't supposed to stay here). Phone lines are useless and send you to a different company. Absolutely horrible service.

We rented a car from Alamo that we picked up at the Calgary airport. Upon our arrival at the air port the rental counter was backed up with customers. The person we were dealing with immediately advised us the their would be a delay in getting the car to us as the Covid19 protocols required the car to be brought down to the rental office. The incorrect vehicle was brought down initially which was offered to us as an free upgrade. It was unsuitable for us so had to wait until the correct car was available. We ended up receiving an upgrade and also received a substantial discount for the additional delay and we very happy with the car as it was the best possible option of the snowy weather we encountered during the rental period.

Scammers!
This rental experience started out very well. We received a nice car, reasonably priced for the week, with unlimited kilometres.
We arrived at pick up and did the walk through together. We pointed out scratches and imperfections on the car; they acknowledged them all. We asked for a record and they denied, stating they don't give out paper records.
We went on our way and had a great trip. Returned the car just as we received it. We did another walkthrough with the lady, made small talk and asked for directions.
Three weeks later an agent from the claims department calls stating damage to the back bumper. We told them there was no damage reported during the walk through. We asked why it took 3 weeks for them to notify us? Their answer: we simply dropped the car off and left.
Which is a lie. We are fair people and this is straight up a scam. They don't give you anything in writing, they lie and charge your credit card.

I would like to extend a belated but sincere thank you to Sean and Rudy at the Alamo rental desk in the Calgary airport. My flight into YYC had been delayed and landed 15 minutes after the office had closed for the night. I was sure I had missed my opportunity to pick up my rental vehicle and was beginning to stress about alternative plans when I received a call from Sean advising me they had kept the desk open just for me! These two gentlemen went above and beyond to ensure the entire process went smoothly. They were efficient and friendly. They did not need to stay late for me, but it made my night that they did. Thank you to Sean and Rudy! You are both a reminder there are good people in the world.

Alamo is by far the best car rental company I have every dealt with and I am a customer for life. Thanks for saving my vacation. Don’t risk renting from anyone else. The staff at YYC are the best!

My experience with Alamo/National has been fantastic, thanks entirely to Ayana. Ayana was efficient and kind throughout, and assisted me by being flexible with my car request, as well as with an extension to my rental.

This is this type of friendly, helpful service that any rental client would love to have. Many thanks!

Super unhelpful - my wife was stranded several provinces away, with a reservation, and the people at the Calgary Airport Alamo would not help her, nor get on the phone to speak with me. I had to try to call the 1-800 number to fix things as she was in tears.

Never using again.

Easiest car rental process ever. We were given a beautiful and clean car to take us throughout Alberta for our first time. Smooth check in and check out. Wouldn't hesitate to rent from Alamo again!

Lack of transparency during pick up as well as pressure to go forward with an SUV while we originally asked for a full-sized Sedan. Note there were no inspection or walk through during pick up from YVR. Fast forward to drop-off, and there is apparently a dent that was absolutely impossible to view coupled with discourteous behaviour and lack of understanding regarding our case from the branch manager at YYC. I have formerly utilized several rental cars from other companies who have provided me with stellar service. Will never be using this company again and will also be informing all friends of our terrible experience.

Hi! I wanted to write this review since my experience with both pickup and drop off for my rental car was a terrible experience. I picked up a car from Vancouver airport on Aug 7,2020. I had repeatedly asked for a sedan - but I kept getting pushed for a SUV and finally succumbed. There was no inspection details provided to me upon pickup. However, when returning the vehicle at Alamo Calgary airport - the branch manager (JM), definitely not social distancing nor wearing a mask, consistently insisted that he could see a dent on the right passenger side of the vehicle. There was no way for us to tell whether it was a dent or not, and no way for us to know whether the dent had already been there when we picked up the car at Vancouver airport. The branch manager (JM) used the dent measurement tool and I still could not see the dent, let alone it be larger than his measurement device. At this point, he decided to pursue damage services, while being very discourteous. I am very disappointed at the lack of compassion and manners, as well as lack of transparency during pre-pickup and post-drop off inspections. Especially during COVID times, the only way to encourage tourism and travel (which is the heart of Alamo’s business) is to be compassionate towards the customers who are willing to continue using your services. This is no way to treat a customer at this time, and to be truthful, at any time, regardless of a global pandemic. I will definitely not be using Alamo services moving forward.

It is my first time to rent a car in local airport and use it for travelling to Banff and Jasper, though I have already had some experience of renting cars in Toronto. I would say this is a perfect car-renting experience at Alamo. Three days before my trip, I still can find a competitve rate at Alamo website. And then when I have concerns about rental insurance and policies, I called Alamo and the staff is very patient and kind to answer each of my questions. When I arrived at YYC, I headed to the Alamo office and found that the process is very simple, and finaaly I got a Intermediate car, Kia Forte 2020. Very sharp red color with all useful fucntions, very comfortable and spacious seating. Last but not least, when I returned the car to the airport parking lot, another staff guided me to the destination. The final inspecction is also simple, provided I have the gas fully filled. I appreciate that Alamo provide such a wonderful car renting experience for me, and I dfinitely will choose Alamo again next time when I come to Calgary.

All I asked for were snow tires on the car I was renting. Corporate Alamo asked me to call the specific branch close to when I was picking the car up and they would be able to help me. The Calgary branch could not help me when I called. This practice puts the drivers at risk. It is dangerous and unlawful to drive without snow tires in parts of Alberta and British Columbia in the winter.

Gave us an upgrade for not too much more to an exceptional car, with a lot of the latest tech. Although the queues can get long (for all the rental places), once you're being served, they will sort you out really well. Drop off is very easy.

Be careful
I do suggest to not use of their service, I left my cell phone and my wife’s driving license in the car when I returned it. I realized about it after 20 mins, came back to the place that I dropped off. Surprisingly, nobody knew about it. Nobody gave me back.
They do not care about yours.

Also they usually remove negative comments in order to prevent sharing our review.
