I would like to thank Neeru Sethi for helping me with getting a hold exemption on my check deposit. I mostly work the whole week and finding time to visit the branch in person is hard but luckily the call center have helped me connect with my branch and Neeru from Northgate took care of my request and made the process possible without me visiting the branch. It’s alwasy good to deal with a bonafide expert and banking with you for almost a decade, I have seen that you always strive to make customers happy and continue to build good relationship. I’m glad the branch is now open. More power to you Northgate team. Thank you.

Someone at this credit union thought it was acceptable to shut down online banking for a week. Then when they get it working they decide that their app will no longer be supported, without telling anyone ahead of time.

I'm sure this offered some kind of convenience or cost savings to the management group but it cost many of us a lot of money by not allowing us to transfer funds into our investment accounts during that time period. Also, if you use Mint for budgeting this credit union is no longer supported since they switched to their new system. I assume other apps like YNAB will be the same story.

In the future when you do a system swap, get the new system up and running FIRST and then shut down the old system.

It is extremely disappointing in today's banking world that First Calgary has shut down e transfers for a full week to upgrade their system, and on a weekend of Biweekly and Semimonthly payers. A lot of people get paid this way and have to pay their bills this way. It also just adds to the frustration that this bank took away our m/c debit option which is also a huge inconvenience

It is a small bank but the staff are great. Excellent customer service. They really cater your needs. The manager Adam is very helpful and understanding.

I met with Diana to open up a bank account with my fiance and it was a great experience. The appointment didn't take too much time out of our day and Diana was quite knowledgeable on the services offered by the bank and which account would suit our needs best. Thanks Diana for your help!

The worst branch ever, they charge customers NSF even if the members covers their account before 10: 00 AM. NOT members focus at all, they start charging people. 25 cents per page if they ask for a printout from their accounts. Good, knowledgeable with happy and lovely smiles staff that I used to deal with at the front-line I don't see them anymore. I have dealt with a male financial advisor and he was such a knowledgeable person and very friendly, I don't see him anymore (of course a person with that much knowledge wont' stay in this place) If people think credit union is still a good option to bank with, they are mistaken. A credit union that won't keep a good staff members is not a trust worthy place to deal with.

I personally have had only amazing experiences with Calgary first financial. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Diana who helped us open up an account was approachable and informative and we felt confident leaving the branch knowing we had support from such great staff. Management is also fantastic. Adam met us before our meeting and asked us what our financial goals were and he made sure we didn’t leave without us understanding everything. I highly recommend this bank!
