Not going to attend this discriminating festival ever again. Russian immigrants should be respected the same as Ukrainian or any others here in Canada! Shame on you.

Attended the Festival for the first time in 15 years. I understand the temp or at least I hope so. Not a fan of paying at each kiosk and still some you had to buy tickets. I think some uniformity in price points helps. Example, some booths are great like Malaysia and sone expensive like Hong Kong. More tables with shade is a must, very poor considering how much money is being made. Hot days, more water and cooling stations. Great event for bringing city and cultures together!

They had no need for additional volunteer staff. I was working so I sent my BFF Avery. " No Parking groat rd still a mess and going up to uni ave was terrible. Food was good at most places but coordination with times of shows varied. Lot's of bugs like mosquitoes and flies but the sanitation was good".
That's her say, on one day for two hrs.

Wow! If you have never been your missing a great time.
I volunteered for the first time and was made to feel like I was part of a great team I was valued, respected and thanked by venders and visitors alike.
What a great way to experience Edmontons diversity and multiculturalism.
PS I was on the Green team picking up garbage.

It was certainly great and enjoying.
Viewing variety of cultural activities here. Became a part of people from different parts of the world. Multicultural Canada

Now that people complain about parking, expensive tidbits, why not find a new venue to have this event. Now take a look at Elk Island Park, plenty of room there, why not book this location and make the event successful instead of a bad experience as I have been reading thus far. It is located east of city limits, near the Ukraine establishment off Highway 16. This is a national park and better suits the event.

I asked a question via Facebook and I felt silly afterwards but that's OK. The person who responded was very helpful and understanding.

Food was great. What's the point of buying tickets in advance if theres only one staff member doing QR scans that hasnt been in her booth for over an hour. Staff made me walk around the entire yard messing with me about where to get them. You're better off buying tickets in person it would be a lot faster than waiting for the staff to come off break to scan your "advanced tickets"

The food is delicious. That's about it. It's far too expensive for the small portions you get. The buses are packed and there is no free park and ride that I'm aware of. Also, it seems as though every tent with speakers competes to be louder than the next tent with speakers. By the end of the day, all you have is extremely loud, over-driven, brutally distorted sounds coming from all corners. I quite enjoy the multi-cultural music.if you could actually hear it. The EPS directing traffic are rude and power-tripping, but I guess that's normal of you've been reduced to a traffic cop anyway. I would much prefer to go to the MANY multi-cultural restaraunts around Edmonton, pay a reasonable price for a meal, enjoy the ambient music, and not have to pay to park AND take a bus there.

Wonderful and pleasant experience as usual.
Salute to all volunteers and organizers who make this happen successful and trouble free.
Seeing different cultures so closely give very good impact.
Lots of things to learn from.
Park is big enough to hold such big crowd.
Lastly ETS and Edmonton police make big difference.

I suggest that they called a (war) festival because the police, helicopters, and towing trucks everywhere, till today I haven’t seen tanks yet, maybe next year they take people’s cars away and giving them tickets, the residents around the park fully alert, they are waiting for any car parked so that they call the police.it’s totally terrifying

-No free parking. Paid parking far a way!
- Not easy to get there specially for sick, elderly, or wheelchair!
- Food is expensive and it’s just small portions

-Definitely this festival needs to be re-organized or change its location

Always Wonderful Experience. Coming to this Festival for last 10 years. Every year is a Memorable year.
Salute to organizers and volunteers who make this happen without any hassle.
You can see and visit pavilions for almost 60 countries of the World.
Enjoy their Food and get Experience of their culture.

I along with several community members will boycott this festival forever because organisers were planning to add a KASHMIR PAVILION without knowing the background of it. Dear organisers, please take a note that Kashmir is an integral part of India, you may have different opinion on kashmir but the fact will remain the same! Have you planned for separate QUEBEC PAVILION? If not, then explain why?
16 July 2019 12:24
People with great ignorance sited there in the Board. Without knowing how critical the KASHMIR issue is they have given KASHMIR pavilion, Time will come when we can see QUEBEC Pavilion.

This is my absolute favorite edmonton festival. I wish it was more than 3 days. It is over crowded with everyone trying to get it all in the one day they are there. Im from out of town and if it rains it shuts down, i cant get refunds and i cant go back. It is over too fast. I am also disappointed with how (all) the festivals are getting so expensive. I do not have an extra 150-200 dollars for every festival all in a month and a half.

So fun! Magicians, cool freak Show type tents, fun trinkets to buy and they had a characacher guy there who is amazing! He made an engagement announcement picture for me and my Fiancé, we laughed so hard, it's framed up on my wall! Definately recommend everyone to check it out when it's open again this year!

It was a really great event but transportation was really slow. 30+ minutes to get on a bus to the festival. Even though there were 4 empty buses waiting to be filled they did one at time. On the way out the lineup for the bus was ridiculous and the organizers only let co-op cabs in. Co-op cabs wouldn’t give us a ride. We ended up walking up groat road to a spot where Uber could get to us.

Be prepared, especially if you have kids, for a long wait in/out. We used the MacEwan bus which seemed particularly bad compared to some of the other bus routes.

Highlight was the Russian dancing but tons of things to see and do!

Rode our bikes from Laurier park and was there in under ten minutes. The Edmonton Bike Commuter Society has volunteers supervising the bike area so no need to worry about stolen bikes (still need to lock your bike though!). Went all three days and tried food and beverages from 20 countries. Watched performances from Russia, India, Phillippines, and China. Overall a great weekend and learned a little bit of history from several countries. Also got some swag by filling out surveys at various sponsors (e.g. Toyota, Enmax, State Farm). Best festival in the city in my opinion.

3 dollars for bottled dasani water, 4 dollars for a small piece of green onion cake, and not to mention the pathetic long waiting line for 5 dollars lemonade, is it supposed to be a cultural event? Or some sort of outdoor mall rip off? And look around the piled up garbage and limited resting area, if you want to take a break, there is no chairs available, you either sit around the garbage or crowds.if you haven't been to this event, please try at least one time, but it's unlikely to return for next year
overall.not worth your money and time!
