WARNING! Fido ported my phone number without my consent and now I have no access to anything that required authentication that my number was previously attached too. Their online is terrible, over the phone is a waste of time and the staff I store are unable to help. #boycottfido

I had a great experience at the Fido store thanks to Jay and Taven's excellent customer service. Jay was knowledgeable and patient in helping me choose a new phone and plan, while Taven completed the purchase smoothly. They were friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, making the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Overall, I highly recommend Fido for their outstanding service

My phone number has been linked to the account of a senior student from the same country because I was underage when I came to Canada. He hasn't been in Edmonton, so I've tried multiple phone calls to relocate and have failed. Kanwal helped me with the business, and also called to costumer service. Kanwal is kind and professional, I appreciate it so much!

I was having issues with multiple unknown # calling & saying I called them so they were reverting my call and same thing with text. This problem started 3 days ago. I went to visit fido store and guy named Tish/ Tiv Yasim (not sure if spelling is correct, sorry if it’s not) helped me and called customer service + he also asked them if my outgoing calls had those # that way to confirm if it was spam or if someone hecked my #. He then got number where I could contact and file an official complain. Thankyou. 5 stars for excellent customer service!

Horrible experience. Please stay away using Fido. Newcomers, don't use their services please, they rip the people off by not clarifying what is written in their contract and charging extra fees all the time. This is the worst company to deal with, the employee never help the customer's complaints. So awful

AVOID THIS FIDO LOCATION. Would give zero star if I could. Fido itself - I have no complaint at all (so far), but this location is a complete joke. Had an issue with upgrading my phone due to a “system glitch” & was promised that they will contact the support centre to fix the issue. Couple days later I was told from people here “everything is resolved”, but turned out there is “no record of a case being created for this issue with the support centre” when I called Fido customer service myself after finding out my phone bill got totally screwed up due to the issue that was supposed to be already fixed as per the follow up I got from this location. An absolute provision of false information to a customer. System glitch may happen but giving false information out to a customer? That is not acceptable. 10+ years of using multiple different phone carriers, I never had such horrible experience, but this location did give me one.

This is the second time I have an awful experience in this Fido booth. First was a couple of years ago, and a second one a couple of days ago. I usually don't write bad reviews, but I had enough with this booth. A month ago, I got a "new" smartphone (my old phone broke). A week after I got it, the phone started having a static sound. I went to the booth and the [Asian] girl told me that the static on the phone was normal. Later, I have some trouble hearing other people voice when in a call. I went back there, and now they told me that I have to go to the WEM to get it repair!
A "new" phone, that I just started paying for it, needs to be repair?
Stay away from this booth.

Understand that customer service is not a channel for personal frustration or issues in life.

This location is supposedly the "hub" for Edmonton. If you call any Fido in the city to ask if they provide loaner phones while yours is out for repairs, they will direct you to this Fido. This location also doesn't have any loaner phones, and Fido no longer does their own repairs, even though they're more than happy to charge you $13 a month for "device protection". So to get my phone fixed, I have to pay them $50 for the privilege to mail my phone away for 1 week for diagnostics, before they'll even repair it, at which point I'll have to pay another $50-$200 for a repair or replacement. All the while paying $13 a month for device protection and not having a replacement phone for the 1-2 weeks your phone is gone. Completely useless.

The Fido store at Southgate mall is a joke.
Employees speak in a foreign language which is very rude infront of customers.
Employees constantly lie, each employee tells you a different story.

Horrible customer experience. 3 months ago my phone broke. My Id was stolen and all I had was an expired passport which they gladly accepted. Fast forward to today and I was told I could not use my id. When asked why they claimed policy due to it being expired. When I asked to see it this policy and explained that they have never had this issue before, they could not produce said policy. When asked why that location only 3 month prior accepted it they had no explanation. Being on disability I cant easily replace it and wasn't worried because I had no issues before.

I will never go back to these liers and cons. I'm now stuck paying a much higher amount because they wont help me. The woman was rude and disrespectful. Plus all 3 sales rep who refused to even try to help me had no Id tags so I cant even report them to managment or fido. Shady slim balls.

Great service from several people here, especially Michelle. I can't believe how much money our family saved switching to Fido from other carriers (two of us were with Koodo and one was with Bell). I mistakenly believed that Koodo and Fido are equivalent, but at least at this store, there is no comparison. They are experienced, friendly, efficient, and completely non-aggressive, on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day no less.

Please stay away from Fido at Southgate mall. They are completely ripping off people. When I signed up for a new plan, they trade in my IPhone 8 and gave me a 15 day try out. They gave me $315 which I used for the upfront fee for Iphone XR. I returned their phone and cancelled my plan within 15 days and they said they do not have my IPhone 8 as they shipped it. Then I asked about the credit for the upfront fee $260 that they used from my trade in. First they said we will give you the st credit and then the Assist Manager there said we cannot give you any credit back. I think it is a complete rip off and they took my personal phone and not giving me the credit back even though I returned the new phone and cancelled.
I will now go to Better Business Bureau and complain about their bad sale tactics and no ethics just to make sale.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM.otherwise you might be ripped off too.

I will definitely give a zero star if there is the option. The customer service was horrible with an extraordinarily terrible attitude. My phone number was hijacked and their solution after two months is charging me 35 buck for a number change? ! Poor service, poor security, I’m switching to a different service provider.

I had the pleasure of working with Edward. He set me up with a new phone and showed me how to work it. Edward explained everything with great detail every step of the way, including warranty and Fido's policy's. He was very clear and polite. I have no complaints.

I was very happy with the service I got at Southgate Fido when I needed to set up a new phone and port my old number. Fido's phone customer service used to be very good but they seem to be trying every strategy they can think of to discourage customers from phoning them. I hope they back off of their new system and restore their previous practices.

Fantastic customer service when they are trying to get you to buy something. But once you buy a phone, or a case you can kiss goodbye to any decent service. I'm just the idiot who signed a two year contract. Maybe after I will just buy a pager or go back to a home phone. Who needs a cell anyways.

They now have a store instead of the booth and Shuming, who was helping us, is incredible. If you’re lucky enough to have him help you out you will stay with Fido forever because of how pleased you will be with his helpful, proactive, and dedicated service to you as an individual customer.

I had Zach help me set up a new service with FIDO. He took the time to listen to what plan I wanted without being pushy. He was very fast at getting my service activated, was extremely professional, and knowledgable. I've been using FIDO the past 5 days and have been very impressed so far, and have run into no issues.
