We've been looking for a left hand opening screen door. Finally decided to check out the store and found exactly what we were looking for. Great service and friendly staff
Not a fair trade people feel bad and want to help others that need it and donate items and you guys take advantage of that and rip everyone even more by selling those items for more than they are in the original store and lots of times they are broken
This location treated me nice but as general rule all restore stores are way over priced it is a lot cheaper to get the same condition goods from the regular stores. At the regular stores open box stuff is 1/2 regular price and is not cheaper old stock selling for more then current full price nor is it bad condition goods selling for more than the regular price of current goods while the price of the goods restore is selling were 1/2 that when they were new and are in open boxes or are in bad condition stores sell such products at cost and you have to be making good money and work off down payment to qualify for a home with habitat at more then market value on 1/2 a lot instead of a full lot
Selection varies, the staff are pretty good, they do try to help. A lot of the time it is luck of the draw if you need something specific. Also you need to know the cost of what you need vs what they are selling.
Stay away! If someone is going to donate, then donate but not to these mafia stores, they sell same or more expensive than new products, I encourage donating but not when they get free and sell without helping people in need! Bunch of money grab companies wow!
Great prices for gently used construction items. You never know what you might find and decide you do need that, even if you were looking for something else!
If I could give no stars I would. This place is a scam everything is done by donations and they hike there prices severely. This is not helping the people this is robbery. Very disgusted. Will never go back
LOVE, LOVE this place, not only incredible deals the staff are wonderfully helpful and goe above and beyond for customer service. Also your money helps others.
Didn't have what we needed. Paint is over priced. Some furniture there are priced ridiculously ($1500 for an armoire?) LOL.after 2 hrs of looking we walked out with practically nothing.:/
I have only been once, the same day as I attended another location. This one felt more cramped and like there was less selection - though this may have been the layout. Some really nice antique chests of drawers!
I found that the re store on the west side was not helpful at all. We walked in was told that we had to leave cause they don’t allow people to wear half masks in there store. We had to wear full masks the manager was so rude that I will never buy from there never, maybe they should put the no half masks on there windows so people would know
Decent selection, but way overpriced. I realize it's for a great charity. I'd rather pay fair prices and actually buy something. Instead I am disappointed with higher than new prices in some cases
I wish I could give less than a 1 star rating. My 72 year grandmother rarely makes it to Edmonton and purchased a door and didn't make it back in their 7 day policy (7 DAY POLICY! Who has that?) and was refused to return it so she had no choice but leave it at the store because she would have no one to unload it back home. Now that they accepted said door shouldn't they have reimbursed her in some way? She got nothing. In store credit would have been more than sufficient but not even that was offered. I'm disgusted at the treatment she received. She was never made aware of this ridiculous policy and feels cheated. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for essentially robbing the elderly on a fixed income.
I find this location disorganized, overpriced, IMPOSSIBLE to distance from others in confined spaces the lanes offer, especially since the customers refuse to follow one-way arrows clearly marked on floors. I am extra-disappointed because the *Southside* store rocks, and expected a similar experience here.
They're really nice and there's a deal to be had and staff that are nice, some things I think are over priced but hey I'm just one person definitely recommend this place!
Getting a little pricey lately since Covid but very helpful staff and volunteers. Still some good deals to be found. When looking for doors, windows, cabinet and larger items, the covered rear section of the building has much to choose from. Many people miss this and get surprised when they see it.
Highly recommend everybody to go to the West End as well the restore is wonderful people there are wonderful. They're wonderful I thought I highly recommend people go there to look for your stuff that they looking for a for the house coffee tables tables and chairs everything house equipment
Although not usually a place to go for shiny new items the Restore does have interesting furnishings and framed paintings and piles of tiles in every colour you can imagine. And speaking of colour they have many cans of paint. Prices are always good. Staff seem to know where everything is. A trip or two per year may offer up something you can use.
All stuff seem to fairly expensive, comparing to Home Depot or Rona. Personnel lacks experience, at times even "passive aggressive" if asked for extra help
Good place to find building supplies. Some items seem over priced and not everything has a price tag. And not everthj g is easy access. You have to know prices when shopping here.
AVOID! Said they had tonnes of exterior 5gal paint in stock, but it was actually all interior! There is a reason people CALL first before heading out! You wasted my gas, so you get 1* (but you deserve 0-stars). The customers were way too close for comfort and they didn't rearrange the isles to make more space between people, and their chekiut was inconveniently routed so I just left, won't shop here and suggest that you don't either as they're a waste if time and have the highest prices comparable to new cost on many items! Buy new instead!
This place is awesome.has great stuff. I like repurposing items. This store had what I needed and I had excellent service here too they helped me load my purchases into the car. That is good service. I often frequent this place.
If you are hunting building materials, it is worth looking here before you shop at the big box stores. Just found four matching ceiling fans for less than half the price I would have paid for one.
High prices, grumpy volunteers. I made two visits here in spring, once to donate some almost new items, Got yelled at by an older receiver after backing up to the donation door -although I had waited my turn and got the OK from the younger receiver. No apology- just a glare. I went back to buy old plywood (to make a wheelbarrow runway). I found some partial old, dirty plywood and osb sheets perfect for my use, but found prices were 75% of brand new. I pointed that out to a man at the cash register and he just shrugged. I went to the Restore North, found what I needed and was helped by really nice people. Restore North will get my donations and time from now on.
Always a delight popping into my favorite restore. Although there is value at all the restores, the west end location on 16811 106 AVE is something special. You never know what you might find and that includes a smile! Great staff and product is what you would expect, considering it’s all donations. Good days to check out the store are Wednesday’s for sure. If I could give more stars I would!
Best restore in the city. They have the lowest prices, best customer service, it's the most organized and although smaller than the south or yellowhead, it has great selection.
