Haysboro Community Association

Today I would like to share my experience with this community center. Honestly I'm very sad and upset because last week I had a wedding for my daughter in this hall and when I finished my event Im surprised that I have to pay $300 from my damage deposit for cleaning 3 spots of coffee that had been spilled on the ground. I think it's not fair. It my opinion and I would like to share your opinion with me. Thank you

Cinnamon was very pleasant to work with regarding our questions and concerns when we booked the main hall. Place was very clean, also received my deposit a couple days later with no issues. Will be recommending this venue to friends and family.

Nice place to host small events. Need air conditioning though, the inside is a little warm and stuffy.

We rented the social lounge on May 7th for Eid party. It’s a nice big facility and has almost everything you’d need for a social event including the audio visual equipment (TVs, projector with screen, podium, microphone and laptop connectors). Comes with pre set tables and chairs and extra chairs and tables in the closet. Big kitchen that can be rented separately and a wet bar with a fridge. Lots of lighting in the room. Lovely service from the administration team, clear instructions and a nice big parking lot. They have a main hall that’s even bigger just no projector so we ended up booking the social lounge instead. Lovely place and lovely administration. I’ll be renting this facility every time we need to have a social event!

Almost top marks for accessibility as there is a good ramp and a power door. However I could not get the door to open from the inside no matter how hard I pushed on the button. Eventually I had to lean on the push bar with my shoulder, while someone pulled from the outside, to get the door to open outwards and let me out. I didn't notice if there was a push button to open the door on the way in.

Awesome place to hangout. Rent it out for your next big function! Outside, you'll find the natural playground and the rinks, which can be used year-round. A grass area signals where the leisure skating area is during the winter. It connects to the rinks via a "skateway", which is very cool. So check it out today!

Very cute outdoor rink. They have two ovals rinks, and another outdoor rectangular area. They even have a fire pit!:)

My family loves it here. In the winter There are Two hockey rinks and then an open skating area as well. The playground nearby is great and my kids always enjoy playing there.

We had our baby shower at the Haysboro "Millennium" Lounge. The most recent renovations to the lounge make the area feel spacious and welcoming. We had the 2 TV's and Projector easily available to play music and games with, in addition the wireless Microphone took no effort to turn on and use. We had access to the full kitchen to prepare our appetizers, a full bar for drinks and a full size fridge and freezer for storing items. Our guests were happy with the space and were asking how they could rent the space for their next event!
Only thing to improve on, would be several of the rolling chairs had stains/spots on them, probably need to be replaced. Other than that, it was perfect!

We booked this hall for a 40th Anniversary Party of 128 people. We rented both the lounge and hall, had plenty of extra space, loads of room to dance to the DJ plus have our food tables set up. Everyone was so impressed with the hall lay out and it was very clean with impressive large windows around feeling very open!
Fiona was amazing to work with answering our many questions we had.
I would definately use this hall again

Went for a wedding in the family was a great place for this was cozy big and we had it to our selfs (wedding party) was great

My brother in law and a couple friends went to the rink to play some hockey when shortly after we showed up the ice guy, Dave, or as he calls himself “the ice boss” kicked us all off the rink so he could do some maintenance. This was around 7: 30. My brother in law went over to him and asked very respectfully “isn’t the rink supposed to close at 10: 00? ”. Dave began pointing his finger at James (my bro in law) calling him disrespectful and rude, even telling him to f**k off. Dave has been seen yelling at kids before and he makes people feel unsafe. Would not come to this rink ever again. Dave I’m sorry we offended you but you need to chill.

I asked a simple question to Dave, the “ice boss” and was immediately yelled at for asking a question calmly. He swore at me and asked me for my name and where I lived. I asked if he could talk to me like that and he told me that he would say or do worse if I kept talking. He then ended the encounter by telling me to “f*** off” and he stormed off. This is not the first time that I’ve seen him treat people this way and I am deeply concerned that someone like this is allowed to continue to volunteer.

Love our HCA, Fiona is amazing and make us always feel welcome and valued. The board really goes out of there way to create programs, events and improvements that keep HCA current for the ever changing residences.
