Hertz Car Rental - Banff - Banff Springs Hotel HLE

On a big epic road trip to celebrate my passenger's 90th birthday. Rented a car in Calgary but had trouble with a tire and stopped in at Hertz Banff for help. Val, Shah and staff went above and beyond to get us back on the road in a similar sized vehicle.

Unfortunately quite disappointed with my recent rental from Hertz Banff. Rented on two separate occasions.

The first rental was a one day rental. Scheduled pickup for 9am. Received a phone call the day prior saying the vehicle wouldn’t be ready until 10am or so as it was in Calgary, and I would receive a call when it’s in Banff and ready for pickup. Luckily I was able to be flexible with pickup that day. Overall, that reservation was good despite the minor delay.

The second reservation I was extremely disappointed with. Mentioned upon first pickup that I needed the vehicle at 9am as reserved and was assured there would be no issues about timing. Showed up at 9am, and the office was closed and locked. Employee came and opened up at 9: 20am, which was no huge deal. But the vehicle I received was absolutely filthy, unwashed, low on fuel, and had the previous guests’ garbage in the vehicle as well. After all the sanitation protocols implemented over the past few years, that is absolutely unacceptable. Second star is only for the staff member being a nice guy, clearly overburdened by management.

Valentino was amazing! Super helpful and friendly which really made the experience that much better (the Ford Explorer really was beautiful to drive!). We will definitely be back to rent a car soon from you guys soon. Thank you!

We used Hertz on two occasions during our trip to Banff the last week in January. Both staff members went above the call of duty. It was a positive experience.

Always the first place to rent a car. Location is good, staff are nice and professional, especially Chris and Shah. Every time I come to rent a car, they always check the car completely, so I can get the car in perfect condition. I will recommend here to rent a car when you come to Banff. Besides, you can visit the most famous castle hotel in the world as well.

This is the second time I’ve rented from this place and both times the experience has been wonderful. Shah helped me get a vehicle last minute and even though it was busy that day he prioritized my request. I would recommend renting a car here if you’re staying in the area and want to explore. There prices are also reasonable and the costumer service is great as well. I will be renting again from them next time I’m in this area.
