Rented twice from here, as advertised. They do charge a deposit of close to 200$ so be prepared.

After we drove to the nearest HERTZ station to settle the costs due to a technical defect in the rental car (we were locked out of the vehicle and had to have the vehicle opened by a towing service), we were unfortunately treated very badly here. We were told that it was not a technical defect, but a security feature. Since it was just before work, no one wanted to look at the car. We were referred to customer service. When we asked to call them straight away, the employee asked if he could use our phone, otherwise they would have to work overtime. Instead of customer service, the employee connected us to their insurance company. The insurer told us that since we did not take out mobility insurance, he could not help us. With a "bad luck" we were asked to go now and clarify the matter at the airport, as this was our drop-off point and they were now off work.
At the airport we were treated similarly dismissively by HERTZ. Ultimately, we were only able to get at least our costs for opening the vehicle back through customer service.
Overall a very bad experience with HERTZ and their locations in Canada.

Exemplary location in Calgary in terms of service, available vehicles, and addressing concerns. Far outweighs Airport location. I am grateful to staff here for providing me with spotless clean Tesla Model Y Long Range, explaining in details how to use it, and making the entire rental experience a breeze. Thank you massively! Recommend with my eyes closed.

The best service in town. Cars are new and clean. This location offers the cheapest rate among others.

I dropped off my rental car at the repair shop on March 2/2023. Six days later on March 8th Hertz picked up their vehicle.

Without even speaking to me first, my credit card was charged for $700!

When I spoke with them they said the charge was due to a crack in the windshield which I was responsible for.

The employees at the repair shop however confirmed that there was no such damage to the vehicle when I dropped it off.

The manager Omer is a real piece of work to deal with. No professionalism whatsoever.

Communicating with him was extremely frustrating.

We only spoke on the phone once where we discussed the situation and he told me he was going to look into everything and call me back in a “few hours”.

I didn’t hear back from him at all.

The next day he had an employee email me instead which, if you ask me is just plain lazy, unprofessional and frankly cowardly.

The crack that they initially deemed as my fault, was actually a stress fracture from being left out in the cold for six days!

You’d think if they care about their vehicles so much, they would pick them up in a timely manner instead of leaving them outside in winter for nearly a week.

I was told my refund would take 14 business days. It has now been one month since the charge and I have still not been refunded! It has been 20 business days.

I have never had such a bad experience with any other car rental company in my life!

It is not the kind of place that can be trusted with anyone's credit card information. They do not care about their customers.

If you look them up on BBB you will see HUNDREDS of other complaints from customers who have dealt with the same thing.

Fast, efficient and no jerking a person around. This place got me a rental for a few days while my car was in the shop. Very reasonable pricing, spotless vehicles and the transaction was without issue. Highly recommend this rental place.

Our experience with Hertz was a nightmare.
We had rented a car from Calgary to explore the national parks. We had troubles with the first car they gave us, AND with the second car they offered to us. Through all the car troubles we had, it was impossible to even talk to someone from Hertz as they would not answer the phone or return our call. We were left to sort everything out ourselves (we lost two whole days of vacations just trying to sort everything out: car assistance, trying to speak to someone at Hertz, towing, cab fees, renting of another car, etc).

Communications were really challenging and frustrating.
We rented from them in september 2022, and they said they would reimburse the fees we had to pay for all the car troubles we've had.it has been 5 months and they still haven't refunded everything they said they would.

From any company, ever, this was by far the worst customer service we've experienced.
