Got charged a cleaning fee because they said I had a dog in the truck which I 100% did not, truck wasn't even dirty as I did check before returning it, there was a small amount of fuzz from Santa hats in the vehicle, I guess live a learn. Don't rent a 8 person vehicle so that you can take elderly people and their grandchildren to the polar express. Shame on me!

For the past year and a bit I’ve been a frequent vehicle renter from this location and am always saddened when I have to go to a different location due to my availability differing from their hours.

Really nice, friendly staff who make the process quick and easy without missing important details, especially when it comes to insurance claims.
The office itself is always neat and clean and there’s always someone up front ready to assist.

This branch is quite literally the best hertz branch I've dealt with world wide. The guys that work there are so wholesome and helpful and hardworking. Don't understand the negative ratings but good job you guys!

Had a rental inscurance company had gave me a date to return the rental
Hertz sent people after me to get the vehicle back and there guys threatened me saying get out of the vehicle.so I went home then called my inscurance company they said the vehicle is not due yet back to hertz and I can keep the truck then at night they came out of no where and just towed the car away do not ever rent from this location they are unprofessional they do not call and say your stuff is due they just send people after you then tow it I am dealing with the senior head office about this situation do not ever rent from this location they are unprofessional and are all freind working toghter there

Great service and assistance in getting the best choice for the best price. My first experience with this location was amazing.although there is room for improvements, the customer service experience is better than most.

Were very friendly and helped us smoothly rent our Tesls Model3 while our vehicle was being repaired through insurance.

Efficient and courteous, these guys made my rental a painless process. I would definitely take the 15-minutes taxi ride from the airport again to get there!

Used this rental location for our trip to Calgary and Banff. Had an amazing experience! The manager was the best to work with and made our trip 100% better with our car experience.

We rented a Tesla, which was the BEST decision. Aside from being tons of fun to drive, the Tesla cost little to nothing to operate versus the hundreds of dollars we would have spent on gas, was efficient for navigation while routing all of our hikes and destinations and guaranteed us the best parking in all of the towns we visited for free. There were a bunch of Tesla charging stations in Canmore and Banff, which allowed us central parking everyday and parking when lots were full - there was always room in the Tesla charging stations! This allowed us to complete all of our activities without having to preplan too much.

Upon drop off of our vehicle, the staff at Hertz Horizon went as far as to coordinate our ride to the airport. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. I can guarantee you that these guys will take care of your rental professionally, upgrade you when they can and ensure satisfaction upon return. I would only ever return to this location in Calgary and I would definitely recommend trying out a Tesla! With saving on gas and parking, it’s likely the same price as an upper economy rental.

It was amazing experience. The guy helped me out to find my mom’s lost bag and finally got it back. One of the most kind hertz staffs I’ve ever met. I would rent a car here again if I get back to Calgary for sure. Thx all

Our flight into Calgary was delayed so we touched down at 4: 20pm, 10 minutes before the office was closed for the day. I called the office and the agent was willing to wait for me even after their office hours. When I eventually picked up the mini-van at 5: 10pm, the agent was very friendly and the car was in a good shape. If I were unable to pick up the car after hours, my vacation with 4 kids could have been turned into an unrecoverable disaster. Thank you for going that extra miles to wait for your customer in need!

The guys at this location are solid employees. My partner and I flew in to the city and the initial place we had booked a car overbooked and did not have anything available. We called them and they were able to give us great rates over the phone and even waived the fee we would’ve paid when car was dropped off at the airport. I will be renting from them from now. 10/10

Pickup was fine and the car was clean and ready. I was returning on Friday at 1pm and was told by the staff that they would be open to return. Came Friday to return car and office closed. No key drop as it was all taped up and not allowed to be used. Note on window said leave car in lot and return keys to airport location. I phoned airport location and took car there to return as I did not want to leave in a mall parking lot for 3 days with risk of damage and paying extra days. I would not rent from this location again. Another couple were there picking up and could not get their car they had booked.

Excellent, and friendly service. Only reason not 5 stars, was due to agent failing to return call to inform rental was available. Otherwise, definitely recommend them.

Had a seemless rental experience with this branch, especially during the holiday week. Mohsin Hassan, the branch manager was really helpful and nice to talk to, made sure we had right drop-off location.

Horrible customer service! I made an online booking to pick up a car from this specific branche and I have received a confirmation number from Hertz for that! When I went to pick up the car I was told that there was No available cars! The person at the desk was not helpful at all and couldn't provide an explanation!

Terrible. The picked me up from a collision center, and told me that they ' dont do drop offs '. Leaving me stranded. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Go with any other company.

Hertz is a joke. This location insisted on their own so called Company Policy regarding winter tires although no one else in the company knew of it. The staff was rude, unhelpful and disrespectful. If there was any other option I would have walked away but all other companies were sold out. In the future you're not getting my business again EVER!

We arrived to pick up our reserved vehicle only to find out there was an additional $900 charge for winter tires. Although we confirmed 3 times with the Hertz reservations line and no charge was ever disclosed, they did not have a car with winter tires and this location would not honour the price or information we received from the reservations line. The 2 sales reps at the counter, one was a shift supervisor who said "I didn't make the mistake so its not my problem". The worst possible customer service ever! Who trains these employees? Hertz should be embarrassed to have employees like this Face of the company because they sure pretend to be in charge.

The counter staff told me I was getting their best "Mud and Snow Tires" - Excuse you? ! That's not a special tire, nor is it a proper winter tire, why is Hertz endangering people's lives on the road? It's not just the driver and passengers but other cars and families on the road. Did you know that these are actually called "ALL SEASON TIRES" and you're charging $20/day for tires that cost all of $700 to buy new! You should be closed down for cheating the public, that's not good business.

The car we got had a British Columbia license plate and its illegal in BC to drive in the winter without snow tires, $121/fine. How to justify driving anywhere in the mountains without snow tires in Canada? ! Does the BC authority know you're letting people rent cars with BC license plates without winter tires to drive around in the winter? !

Hertz you've put our lives in danger for $20/day and lack of cars with winter tires. We are on day 6 of our travels and in the lightest snow conditions we are sliding and cannot properly brake, we have to drive super slow, going uphill feels like we will slide backwards. Your so called "Mud and Snow tires" are for 8+ degrees as are all ALL Season tires, talk to your insurance provider! They are not appropriate for -16 conditions, the rubber doesn't react the same in freezing conditions. You should know that! Shame on you Hertz!

Overall the experience was horrendous, the staff was rude and unhelpful, they couldn't care less and more so were righteous. Even though we were willing to pay what was an absurd charge they did not have winter tires for us.

The only sign and information about the extra charge was posted on a taped paper (photo is attached) to their counter that was ripped and dirty, clearly has not been changed in forever - apparently this is the New Company Policy.

Get with the times hertz, get rid of hidden fees and if you do have them, post them online and on our confirmation so we don't get a surprised by it and let alone have to believe that a run down piece of paper is company policy. Treat your paying customers like people, whose lives are worth more than your $20/day policy, get your cars equipped with winter tires and stop ruining people's vacations when they arrive at your counter.

Wow, what a wonderful experience at this Hertz location! The staff truly went above and beyond for me and made everything perfect. Very thankful to the staff for their courtesy and kindness. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Aside from the customer service, the vehicle provided was just what I needed; safe, clean and modern. Thank you so much! The best staff and services I have every received, I have rented many times from that location and every time above and beyond.

The experience at the counter was fine and there was nothing wrong with the car we received. I'm giving a low rating because I was charged about $50 more than my quotation. I was told that this was because I was returning the car to the airport and there were additional airport fees. My original quotation clearly showed that I was to return the car to the airport so I can't understand why they would not know the proper rate. Disappointing.

They overcharge you and staff is rude and judgy.the new Indian manager on training and another Indian associate speaks in their language about customers not knowing I understood what they were saying. Very unprofessional. I'd suggest avoiding this place.

Is there an icon for 0 rating? I only use this place because at times they have the best advertised prices online. HOWEVER.each time I do I regret it dearly. Overcharging, waste of time, lying staff and swindling is what I experience EVERY time I go to this Hertz at 32 Avenue NE, Calgary. It's not worth the headache.

If u can, go to Hertz in downtown. Here, at this place, they are looking for ANY single opportunity to charge you more. My experience at this place was terrible. I rent a car for one week just before they close and I returned it only 10 minutes late, when they were closed. They charged an extra day for nothing!
