After leaving this review I was promptly contacted by the company. I was surprised and quite impressed that they took my concerns seriously. A few days later, Trevor came and looked at the carpet, he agreed that the issue was installation and agreed to make the necessary repairs. I TRULY appreciate the service call and repairs that were made to my carpets. I was frustrated and quite unhappy when I originally left this review (and possibly overly harsh) so I’m thankfully that they took the time to make things right. So I’ve changed my rating from 1 to 4.

I'm only leaving one star because I can't leave 0. After one year, my carpet was lifting, it's rippled and isn't even attached to the prickle board at the entrance to the bathroom. When I called they said they can't fix it unless I pay for a repair, and remove all the furniture from the house where there is carpet, which is impossible. I like the carpet, but the installation work was terrible.

Ordered carpet for our basement. Had great service from their sales expert Andrew M, he is friendly, very knowledgeable, he goes above and beyond for his customers. Very pleased. The installer Erasmo was prompt, polite and did an excellent job installing the carpet. Would recommend this company.

We recently replaced carpet in our family room and stairs. Pat was our friendly, knowledgeable and helpful design/product consultant. Bob was our installer and he was prompt, hard-working and efficient. We are very happy with both of these fine people and recommend them heartily.

I am so pleased with the service I received from Red Deer Carpet One. I received such good advice from designer, Karla Shakotko as I needed to choose new flooring for my kitchen floor that wouldn't compete with my adjoining vinyl plank. I love my new flooring. It checked all my boxes as it is easy to clean and bright and light. Jeremy the installer was extremely conscientious, and went above and beyond to minimize the interruption, and dust mess in spite of unexpected issues that came up. I would highly recommend Carpet One for designing and installing.

Diana, Curtis, Kyle, Carl, and Lorn are a dream team. Diana makes choosing and ordering a breeze. Curtis is extremely flexible when dealing with schedule changes. The other 3 installers are professional, quick, and the end result is great. Thank you for making my life easier during this project.

The staff at Carpet One are the reason you should get your floors through them. Kristine will make sure that your house matches the floors before they are in. Curtis will make sure they work around your families schedule and will make sure you have the info you need to make sure your floors stay pristine for a long time. Andrew keeps all of the people that work there Happy, which shows in how they treat you. He will explain things thoroughly so you can feel great about your new floors and the work that was done. They hire contractors that are very friendly and will help you with the little things like putting felt pads on the bottom of your furniture for you.
Definitely worth getting your floors through Carpet One Red Deer.

Bob and Dustin did a great job replacing the carpet on our stairs. It was a very challenging job and it came out looking fantastic.

William is an absolute treat to work with. He’s enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy.

If you choose to arrange installation through this store, I recommend you make it clear that no additional work outside of the scope of the quote can happen until you agree to the price first. Otherwise, the final bill may come with a nasty surprise.

My original quote was reasonable - $380 for the labour to install the entire kitchen backsplash. After it was done, I was presented with an additional bill that came to nearly $300. This was because the installer screwed a piece of wood behind a loose piece of drywall, and drilled 6 holes in the tile. I wouldn’t expect either of those tasks to be done for free, but I did expect the labour costs to align with the prices in the original quote. There was no mention of prices for these tasks, or I would have made other arrangements.

I was able to get the extra cost down some, but I still ended up paying $150 for less than an hour's worth or work. I feel taken advantage of. Companies are free to charge whatever they want, but if labour costs on extra tasks are going to be so much higher than the originally quoted rate, they have a moral and ethical responsibility to let the customer know before the work is started.

ETA two points of clarification, following owner's misleading response:
- The invoice I paid was the full amount listed in the only quote I received, plus $150. I was not informed of any supposed discount, until after I'd lodged my complaint.
- The help with the installation of the knife magnet and hood vent that was mentioned came in the form of.drilling six holes. One of them was in the wrong spot and had to be fixed.

So pleased with my Carpet One experience! I walked in not knowing what to choose, but Diana quickly picked up on what I liked and away we went! She was extremely helpful with her suggestions and we had vinyl plank, carpet, and tile picked out in no time! Next came the installers, Neil and Daniel. They did an amazing job for us. Very friendly and efficient! Thank you!

Had water damage in our home and Carpet One replaced the flooring. Andrew helped us every step of the way with great advise and service. Jeremy installed our flooring and to say we are pleased is an understatement. Excellent job!

Wonderful Experience with Carpet One for our bathroom Reno and Carpet in our Theatre room! I worked with Kevin in sales, and he was extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions! Kyle did a tremendous job with the tile work! I was so pleased with his attention to detail, and that he understood the vision. Steven did the carpet install, fast, efficient and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend Carpet One!

Had a really nice guy named Steven come do the lino for my livingroom/kitchen and he was so nice and friendly and did an amazing job. Its a white/grey wood style mix and the patterning was laid down very well. I have a strong eye for colour and design and there isn't a single spot where there was too much dark grey. Very happy! Treat that guy well! He deserves it: D (we are doing our own baseboards)

What could be better than doing business with a reputable floor-covering dealer, complete with excellent sales staff and premium-quality products? A superb installer, of course!

Steven (the installer) was professional, friendly and outstanding in the quality of his applied workmanship. The greatest compliment that I could give Steven, at the conclusion of his work project, was having nothing to say other than "Well done! " and "Thank you! "

Had a great consultation with Andrew MacKay in the Red Deer store and he helped us find the perfect flooring for my new home in the Sylvan Lake area. Shortly after, the Professional installation was completed by Curtis and Neil. Looks great! Thank You, team Carpet One!:) 5 STARS!

We had Kevin and his install team (Lorn and Curtis) install new carpet in a basement remodel. The team worked great to fit us in on a time crunch, and resulted in a beautiful end product. I would be more than happy to work with team again in the future!

Can I give 10 stars?

We just had our kitchen backsplash done by Nick and we couldn't be happier with the job he did. From one tradesperson to another it's very refreshing to see someone else take this much pride in their work. The entire process was easy from our consult to Andrew to Nick's amazing installation work. This is the third time we've had Carpet One in our home (vinly plank through main floor, master bath tile floor) and we will not hesitate to have them back again when it's time to replace our basement carpet. Excellent work, excellent company!

Absolute crooks working on insurance claims to line there pockets and rocky cross construction. All I have to say is if they are working on your insurance claim do your home work cause they have 0 shame in trying to screw the client. Absolutely disappointing the things I found out when I dug into costs. To say the least I happily took my business elsewhere

We were on a very tight timeline to get our new carpets. Jill was great at helping me get carpet in two weeks and the installation manager Curtis arranged installation by Lorne promptly. He did a fabulous job installing the carpet and cleaned everything up before he left. Also, fixed a linoleum seam that was coming apart in the kitchen. Would definitely use this company again. Great job by all.

Matt is very friendly and professional! If need any help from a carpet cleaning technician it has to be him!

They only sell 1 type of underlay there apparently! Lady seemed that she really didn't want to help us at all. In response to your answer, the lady was very professional, she failed to listen to what we wanted unfortunately. The underlay we were looking for does not have to be vehicle specific, just wanted underlay that is waterproof, soundproof and 8-11mm thick. We are doing a van project and are doing something different, also needed carpet. I didn't realize that your underlay and carpet are only used for buildings.

We highly recommend Carpet One! We got all of our flooring and tile through them while recently building a house and all the work was top notch. Andrew and William were a huge help in making decisions, and Matt took care of some stains in our brand new carpets after the moving company placed a chain saw directly on the carpet. So thankful we got to work with Carpet One while building our home.

The whole process was easy and laid back. They never pressured us to pick certain products and were very helpful in store and on the phone. Erasmo was our installer and I would recommend him 100% to anyone needing carpet installed. He was meticulous and did a fantastic job.

I'm super happy I chose to buy my basement carpet through Carpet Color Centre. Cindy helped me pick out a great style and colour and Erasmo and Bob did an amazing job of installing it! Erasmo even took the time to fix a carpet issue I had in my bedroom closet free of charge. Erasmo and Bob arrived at my house on time, were super friendly and when they were finished with the installation, they left my basement sparkling clean!

My flooring had to be changed out through insurance. My insurance company had a couple places to choose from. I honestly picked Carpet One because of the proximity to my place. They sent out Andrew Mackay to assess my flooring. Andrew came out and instantly made me and my needs important to him. We had Matt and Carpet Colour Centre come clean the carpets in one of our rental properties. All I can say is WOW! The carpets were trashed and we thought they needed replacing, but Matt was able to restore the carpets to look almost new. We should be able to get a few more years out the carpet now. Thanks again for the hard work. BTW Carpet Colour Centre is amazing to deal with. We use them for all our flooring needs!

The only problem I could see with writing the review is there weren't enough stars. I'm a super fussy person, so it was a breath of fresh air to have our new carpet installed by 2 great guys, very professional, carpet fitted perfectly, cleared up after them and referred to me as sir.
